Booked a room through their website more than a month in advance. Received a confirmation email. Was told on arrival that my booking had been cancelled and the hotel was full. They could not give me a reason why it had been cancelled.
We stayed here whilst cycling the Danube Radweg in early September. Although there was an initial confusion over rooms booked Kirsten sorted this out and I would stay here again if visiting Kelheim. The rooms are very clean and well equipped, location is good being very near the centre of the old town. Breakfast plentiful with a good choice of options. Lastly the hotel is 'bike friendly' with storage at the rear.
A real gem in the Altstadt of Kelheim. Beautifully renovated with very nicely decorated rooms. Owners are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast is excellent and plentiful. We will definitely come back to explore not only Kelheim but also the surrounding area.
We had a great time in this wonderful small hotel with just a few rooms. Lovely rooms, jummy breakfast and really nice beer garden at the back. Just short walking distance to shopping, restaurants, beer gardens etc. A short walk for about 10 minutes to the boats heading for Weltenburger Kloster / Donaudurchbruch.
I stayed here for one night when we rode the bikes from Ingolstadt to Regensburg. It is an old tower that is nicely renovated and each room has a lot of space and is individually designed. The small beer garden with a nice setting next to a small creek is part of the hotel and a great place to have a rest after the bike tour. The kids played in the shallow creek while we could watch them. The breakfast had a lot of fresh choices and was tasty. I recommend coming here if you don't want to go with the standard hotel chain, but want to experience upmarket bavarian charm. The only downside was that it was hard to find hotel staff when we arrived and left as they were so busy with the restaurant. I also loved that they had rooms with 4 beds so the kids could sleep in our room.
