1. Location- The hotel was located in the charming village of Lenggries which has a picturesque setting in the Bavarian Alps. It was charming and non-touristy, but near to towns such as Mittenwald, Oberammergau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Bad Tolz. There also appeared to be a ski resort on the opposite side of the town.
2. Staff- Without fail, every employee at the Lenggries FourPoints Sheraton was friendly and spoke great English. Any request we had (directions to nearby towns, dinner recommendations, local bakeries, etc…) was cheerfully and promptly answered. They even lent us the hotel’s giant atlas for the day when the photo copies of the pages we needed didn’t come out crystal clear.
3. Room- We were given a lovely room with a balcony facing the mountains. A fresh fruit plate and a handwritten note from the Hotel Manager were waiting for us when we arrived.
4. Free Internet/Parking- It was refreshing for once to not be charged for internet or parking.
5. Fitness Facility- This was located in a building located directly across the street from the hotel and had the usual assortment of treadmills and stationary bikes. It was free for hotel guests.
6. Breakfast- A breakfast buffet was available at 16 euros/person which we thought was rather high. However, there was a free coffee/tea maker already in our room with plenty of supplies and we bought yogurt, muesli and fruit at the local grocery store each morning.
7. Nearby Stuff- A “PennyMarkt” grocery store was located 1 block from the hotel. It was also an easy walk into the center of Lenggries where there were various shops and restaurants.
Restaurant recommendations in Lenggries: Our best meal of the entire trip was at the “Ratstube” in Lenggries. Delicious pork schnitzel with spaetzle and a mushroom cream sauce! We also really enjoyed dinner at the Lenggrieserhof just down the street, especially their preparations of the local fish.
Internet connection was not good sometimes !

The bedroom was nice, the mattresses could have been a bit firmer. The bathroom was very nice, it had a large tub and we were supplied with robes and slippers.
Our balcony had awesome views of the mountains; the sitting room was spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was really good! We were not expecting much for a European hotel, but their spread had a wide assortment of food. We ordered room service and they guarentee your food w/in 30 minutes or it's on the house. The food was ok (rump steak, kasespaeztel, and spaghetti bolognese), and it came on time.
Overall, I would definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone who visits Lenggries.

If you have points, this one is a must
Pros
My wife loved it, super clean, free access to anything in the minibar was a bonus for all
Internet access, complementary too, parking same deal, super friendly staff (they all seem tickled pink to be dressed up in traditional garb assisting visitiors)
The hotel has ice.... Ice is sooo rare in europe, the cooler concept is foreign here
I've stayed a dozens of Sheratons (including category 5's) , this is one of the nicest if not the nicest in terms of staff and overall condition
Con's
Breakfast buffet cost is silly, can't remember what it was but it wasn't close to considering given our group size
Location, the key drawback, with a car, no issue.. without - forget it
About 40 minutes to munich so whatever, definately a nice spot - not for touristy stuff but just to step back and take in life

"Market across from hotel has a nice deli. More free parking is scross from the hotel as well, paid underground parking is not necessary unless you really do not want to get wet or cold. The area is very safe."Read full review
