Beautiful hotel in the old style. We slept very well, comfortable mattresses. Newly renovated bathroom, everything works perfectly. Breakfast was delicious, everything was fresh, even the bread was home-made. Extremely friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room. Parking included.

We stayed here previously in August 2021 and really liked the place, location, staff etc. This time was even better with a great room , great clean and comfortable bathroom and especially. a wonderful friendly staff . On-site restaurant dinner was good with reasonable price point . Breakfast was very good .
Immediately off Neckar Bike Trail and has excellent inside bicycle storage .
On our next adventure in the future we would love to stay here again

We stayed for two nights in September. very nice hotel, and the location is central to Eberbach. our room was large and comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the square. the restaurant, was very good, with an extensive menu.

I have stayed at Hotel Karpfen 5 times and now feel like part of the family.
The hotel is spotless and the food divine. The owner, Frau Rohrlapper is a very sweet lady. Tommy and Klare who work there are such lovely people. I am returning in November and will return many times more.
If I could afford it I would stay there many more times every year.

I have stayed at this hotel many times now. It is spotlessly clean, very friendly and has excellent food. The hotel is situated in the middle of the town where there are many good bars & restaurants. The River Neckar is 1 minute’s walk from the hotel. I will be visiting the hotel again next week & feel sure I will be greeted like an old friend. Most of the staff speak some English and some speak very good English. I can highly recommend this hotel.

A Quality Hotel
I have tayed at Hotel Karpfen many times over the last 3 years and now feel like a part of the family. It has the best of everything. The food is fantastic, the rooms are wonderful, clean, airy, comfortable. Frau Rohrlapper, Tommy and Klare are so very wonderfully friendly and ARE now friends. We are staying there again in November and absolutely love it.

I have stayed at the Karpfen Hotel five times. The service is exceptional, friendly and fun. The old world feeling is both exciting and interesting. The owner Lori Rohappler and her daughter Alexi give the persoanl touch by going to each table while you are eating, and greeting you. The rooms are always very clean and your every comfort is met. If you have the chance please visit this wonderful little town, that takes you back in time, the people are warm and very friendly.

I am forever grateful to the Hotel Karpfen. I had an accident and broke a bone outside of Eberbach. They helped me arrange my trip back to the United States by finding me a person who drove me to Munich (350 km) where I had left luggage. They negotiated a price for me. I did not have the use of one arm and was traveling with a bike. Their kindness to me was extraordinary.
It is a cute hotel with carpets with images of fish.
Karpfen = carp. The breakfast was wonderful. I was in a bad way and didn’t enjoy it as I would have without the accident. Very clean very quiet. I would go back any time

This 3 star hotel is much nicer than the 4star across the street. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was nicely decorated but most importantly had great sheets. The breakfast was excellent n they made proper tea as well. Bicycle touring and they provided a safe place for the bikes.

We stayed at this most beautiful hotel without making any reservation. They even did not ask about my name or passport when we arrived, so I knew instantly that this was a trustworthy hotel. We had two beautiful rooms for two nights and the breakfast was excellent. When we left the hotel my wife forgot her shawl in the room. When I contacted the hotel by e-mail two days later, they had found it and then sent it to our home address. German quality service at its best! I recommend this hotel, the restaurant and this very nice town by the river Neckar.

"Rooms on the front are bigger and more expensive. They have a great view of the square. There are floodlights that shine on the windows at night. The curtains take care of it though. The smaller rooms at the back are fine with rooftop views of the Old Town and the hillside to the west. They are nice, just smaller. For a single,they are more than adequate."Read full review
