We were a family with two children driving through Germany. Very organised hotel. We asked for a baby crib which was ready upon arrival. The bedsheets and towels were clean. Room clean. Extremely polite and helpful staff at breakfast. The breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Nice place clean rooms nice manager Affordable and the breakfast was really nice. Can recommend as a stay over place when going somewhere The hotel is close to the autobahn approx 5 min off. Easy access good parking
This was my first visit to this hotel and I liked it very much. I stayed there in june 2014. Clean and cosy rooms, amazing landscapes and nature around, good and fresh food, and the perfect service. The staff was very nice, with a good knowledge of english. I left the hotel early morning (6 AM) and the manager took care that someone will bring me the food in room in the evening ... as such I had my coffe and ate something before I left. I really recommend it to everybody!
Stayed one week at this nice hotel. The reception is very friendly and the service is excellent. Both breakfast and dinner give ample choice and are well prepared. As I daily had to leave early, breakfast was ready on time for me! Well located in nice surroundings for hikes and cycle tours. A walk to the health- and fitness area 3 km from the city centre is really worth it, the region is known for health baths and massages. Recommended!
This was my second time of staying a couple of weeks in the hotel while working at the NATO base nearby. After two years, the English-speaking manager (owner?) welcomed me by name and remembered (or had looked up) which room I had had before, commenting that this time I had a bigger one but equally near to the wifi router. That IS impressive and very professional. The hotel is set back from the road in pretty gardens, by a stream, and very near the town centre, so none of the long uphill walks to bigger hotels in BB which my colleagues had suffered last time. Lots of parking if you bring a car. The rooms are spotless and well appointed (although the TV is positioned so that you cannot see it from the bed unless you sleep the wrong way round). Rooms facing the garden have small balconies with chairs/table. Lots of coat hangers, a hair drier, very nice walk in shower, albeit soap only in liquid form in bottles and rather thin towels. No tissues, which is a surprising omission. I had taken my own fluffy feather pillow, (theirs are large but thin and lumpy) but otherwise the beds are quite comfortable (I had two singles pushed together so could spread out). Lots of sockets and lights. Don't try to force the curtains shut, they are only there for effect as there are outside shutters. FREE wifi which seems reliable, but the connections are not good in all rooms. There is a residents' lounge on the 1st floor (next to the wifi router); this had a small bar (help yourself and sign a slip on an honour system), TV, books and a cupboard full of playing cards and board games. A very nice touch. It would, though, be nice to have a proper bar where colleagues/friends could sit and chat over a beer. The dining room has really lovely food, much more delicately presented than is often the case in this region, while the manager is very knoweldgeable about the local wines, which I found much better than I had expected. I was sorry only to have the opportunity to eat there twice, but (during the mushroom season) both the roe deer with a mushroom sauce (with a domina wine, a hybred of pinot noir and another grape) and the zander fish with potatoes and leeks (with a white burgundy style wine) were really exquisite and welcome relief from the normal food at the barracks and, indeed, in other local restaurants to which we were taken. Lovely light desserts with forest/red fruits. Breakfast is also simple but good: boiled eggs, cheese, cold meats, etc., yogurts, cereals and fruit, wide choice of breads for all tastes and wonderful local jams. Decor throughout is rather "twee"/"folksey" but - hey - this IS Bavaria.... What really distinguishes this hotel is that the service is exceptional and nothing seems too much trouble. Even when communication was difficult, with my poor German, things happened and with a smile. I would stay here for pleasure, which is more than I can say of most places where I am lodged for work. NB If you are staying out late, take your room key with you and it unlocks the front door.…
