We attended a wedding in Hillcrest and spent the night at White House. The premises are beautiful and hosts were lovely and accommodating. The rooms, bathrooms and linen were clean but the rooms are tired and need a little modernizing.

We needed to be in Hillcrest for a couple of weeks. This was a great place to stay. Set in a well kept garden with many trees, we stayed in a room in the cottage, which proved to be very quiet and peaceful.
The weather was unseasonably cold and wet for October in Durban. Plenty of spare blankets in the cupboard soon fixed that. We spent a number of days just chilling out in the garden.
Daily full English breakfasts were excellent, starting with a well made, homemade fresh fruit salad.
Lillie's Quarter shopping centre, all of 10 minutes walk away, offers a good selection of stores and restaurants, with take-aways delivering to the B&B.
Our hosts Hans and Linda were friendly and made us feel like family.
Definitely a place I would be happy to come back to.

We were welcomed with open arms, I was on crutches and they opened other doors so that I had easy access to my room. Hans was so friendly and a very interesting man to talk to. The gardens were very impressive. It was also so easy to find. We loved the breakfasts and the staff were so friendly

A very comfortable guest house in a quiet area but very centrally situated. The breakfast was good and the rooms are tidy and clean. There is a lounge and swimming pool for the guests use. The gardens are wonderful.

Unfortunately all rooms and dining room etc are accessible only by a steep wooden staircase. If you have an injury or are elderly and struggle with steps, unfortunately this place won't suit you. Would have liked to have spent a night at least

Efficient, pleasant and helpful. A wonderful venue and we had beautiful weather. Food and service was good. A home from home venue. It was a special and great occasion. Service was good and the presentation of food excellent. This venue is highly recommended.
We did not utilize any accommodation as this was a 90th lunch function.

The accomodation was adequate, however, it requires an update in the linen department. No double or queen beds did not work for us. It was cold and the extra blankets on the bed were small and suitable for children under the age of 5. Breakfast was standard, didn't make much of an allowance for us as we did a run on the Saturday morning. Fruit and yoghurt was served but a hot breakfast could have been kept in the oven till we got back from our run after nine. Host was helpful. So not rushing back there any time soon.

I stayed here on business. The owners were helpful and the staff friendly. The breakfasts were delicious and the gardens were beautiful and relaxing. The B&B is close to the center of Hillcrest and near the motorway to Durban.
