Coming to SA for a project I stayed here for 4 weeks with my partner.
We got a nice room and always had nice breakfast.
Jacky and Alec helped us out in any cases.

I had the pleasure recently of staying with Jacqui and Alec at the Rest Assured B & B Hillcrest, just a short drive north of Durban. My partner and I were on a family visit, and this wonderful little haven provided us with a homely and welcoming respite daily. Each morning Jacquie provided a full breakfast, with requests taken for eggs, sausage, tomatoes etc, along with a great supply of fresh fruit juice, fruit and toast / brewed coffee. All served within a nice meal setting that allowed interaction between visitors. Our room, whilst connected to the above meal room, was quiet, very spacious and comfortable. Complimentary Wi-Fi was provided, along with all necessary bathroom requirements, and the room serviced daily by maids.
On one night we requested the use of their braai ( barbeque) as we had family wishing to share a meal, and Jacqui / Alec were very generous and accommodating with everything - glasses, cooking utensils, stereo speakers etc - just like being part of their family really.
The location is safe, well lit and your own keys / remote gate access provides independent access to the B & B at any time of the day. The shops and petrol stations are very close and restaurants, liquor stores also within easy reach. If you have the need to stay in this area, for business or pleasure, do yourself a favour and experience thoughtful hospitality at a value price.
We intend to visit again at Easter time, and look forward to seeing Jacqui again.

I have just spent three weeks at Rest Assured B & B and it will be my first choice of accomodation should I visit Durban in the future. The B & B is located off the main road to Hillcrest which makes it easy to find and set well back from the road so one does not hear any noise from passing traffic. The room I stayed in was very spacious and clean. A kettle is in the room as is coffee, milk etc which was replenished each morning. Jacqui makes one feel very welcome but at the same time respects your privacy. Laundry service is available at good rates. I was free to use a microwave and fridge which is kept in the dining area. Thank you Jacqui for making my visit most pleasant and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend your B & B to my friends.

Not what I expected, the rooms had an awful smell because of the carpet. The owner was not welcoming as well. When we got there we weren't aware that she stays within the same vicinity, so when our children excitedly ran all around the house she shouted them badly, as a result they were very uncomfortable for the entire stay. However, the lady by the name of Carlene really tried to make the situation better, I love her.

Jacqui was an amazing host. I have never traveled alone by myself before or stayed in a city on my own that I didn't know. She made it feel like a home away from home. The breakfast was so yummy as well. Definitely will be back in future. Thank you Jacqui!

Very good value and confortable rooms. Jacqui is there to ensure your stay is a good one and has great knowldge of reatuarants and other places of interest. East access to highway and alk major stores are close by. Will be back and stay again.

We chose to stay here as it was not too far from our venue the following day.
We received a warm welcome & enjoyed a very cozy stay in a very spacious & comfortable room.
Jacqui, our hostess was agreeable for us to have guests join us for breakfast the next day, and went out of her way to make them feel welcome, in spite of also having to prepare for the next set of guests she was expecting.
