I spent 2 weeks at Warrens Guest House as I was out from England visiting family over the Christmas period. I found Sue and Nigel's hospitality to be excellent, nothing was too much trouble and traveling solo, it was lovely to feel so welcome. This also extended to the staff on duty, always ready to greet me with a smile and great service when needed. Breakfast was always delicious and plentiful and I couldn't fault the room or cleanliness of the room, just wonderful. Thank you so much for making my visit so comfortable!

Disappointed in the response to Victoria. She had no fridge, no WiFi, room stank of mold(always has we refuse to stay in that room.
Sure she would have noticed her been wet before she had left.
Jonathan was disturbed by people in the kitchen each morning.
Tamzyn room was absolutely freezing, no heater.
All 3 complained about the quality of your bath towels.

We would like ro continue staying at Warrens. This last trip was unacceptable.

Warrens Guest House is great. Hosts are amazing. Property and the grounds are beautiful. Only ask that for the travelling business person please suggest Waxy O'Connors Hillcrest, 50 Old Main Rd, Hillcrest, about 1km away, within walking distance for a bite to eat and more importantly a nice selection of draught beers and drinks. Not easy to find if you are new to the area. I found UberX was more reliable than UberGo.

I only stayed 1 night at Warren's Guest house but was very happy with my experience. The staff were pleasant and my room was lovely. A lovely personal touch was the breakfast prepared by the owners. I would definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful cared for and secure spot to discover. It was ideal - clean; warm; and welcoming. The English breakfast with the lot was awesome!!! Thanks also for the lift to Cotswolds golf course . Finally - ask the owner about the Duzi and be amazed!

We arrived at Warrens having had a long drive on a busy Sunday on the roads. The peace and quiet was just what we needed and we were fortunate that we were the only guests for our two night stay which enabled us to chat with Marilyn who gave us some helpful advice for the rest of our trip. Our room was comfortable and spacious although Warrens does need a little general updating.

I heard about Warren's from a B & B I had stayed with previously, unfortunately they were no longer in business. I contacted friends and family and again no one had actually stayed at Warren's. We booked and arrived late on a week night having flown n from Australia. The check in was uncomplicated, we were given the key and shown our room. After a long and tiring journey I was initially disappointed with the decor which was nice but tired. I was reassured some days later when chatting to our hostess Bev, she volunteered the info that we had arrived just prior to an overall maintenance and refresh of the B & B.
So how was our stay - absolutely fantastic! The ladies in the kitchen served wonderful breakfasts with a smile and good cheer. We met a fellow traveller who told us he's tried most B & Bs n the area and kept coming back. The rooms were a good size, large bathrooms, kept clean and tidy, the accommodation also offers 2 separate "family" cottages which we had a look at. The gardens are lush and inviting and the B & B even has it's own cosy pub. It is conveniently centrally located , easy to find and handy for travelling to other places in the area. While there we asked if we cold have a catered function for family and friends and our request was accommdated and everyone who attended the function loooved the venue. This is now our B & B of choice, just unfortunate that we won't be able to visit annually! Highly recommended!

We were initially impressed by the comfortable room, booked and paid for months in advance, for two nights. However, the real test of a good establishment is how they handle their clients when things go wrong, which they are understandably bound to do from time to time.

On the first evening, my wife and I went out and later arrived back at Warrens to find another family in our room, kids playing with our toiletries and electronic devices and people carrying our bags out of the room, which left us decidedly unsettled.

We were told that another family had arrived and because they had children they would need our room as it had a spare bed. We were being moved to a small room in an attic area with fewer facilities.

For the sake of the other children we acquiesced but the experience was unnerving and left us with a lack of trust in the establishment. The safe in the new room was locked and there was no key to store our valuables in case a second intrusion occurred. We sat up writing an email to the establishment to alert them to the way the situation had been handled.

We also noted that the linen was wet from a roof leak and there were gecko droppings on the bed, as well as flies in the complimentary port bottle. The water in the shower was cold.

We woke early the next morning for breakfast, along with the other conference delegates as we had to prepare for an early start. The kitchen was empty and the staff only arrived half an hour after the advertised breakfast starting time, delaying our departure.

The food was good and hot when it came. Unfortunately, being full, the establishment's electrical supply kept tripping which left us in the dark a number of times. Management was not available to discuss the previous evening before we had to leave for the day.

When we arrived back later, they had written a defensive apology on a card in response to the email and left a box of chocolates. The linen had been changed and room cleaned. We were grateful for the gesture, but felt it did not go nearly far enough to address the intrusion and breach of trust the previous evening.

We spoke to the manageress who was defensive and argumentative and though she apologised we did not feel there was any genuine remorse. We suggested that a suitable response would be to offer a refund for the night that we experienced poor treatment, but she said that was out of the question.

The lack of adequate restitution has led me to reluctantly give a negative review on Warrens, which could otherwise be a lovely facility. Unfortunately, we and the other conference delegates were decidedly unimpressed and our organisation will not use Warrens again in the future.

I was on the way to Phezulu Safari Park with my best friend, and we had no accomodation reserved, so we ended up looking for a guest house some where around.
And then we found this little beautiful place called Warren Guest House.
It is looking absolutely stunning outside and inside.
We got one room for an amazing price. The room was nicely decorated, felt like home and we really appriciated cherry liquor and morning coffees generously placed for us. The little chocolate candies placed for us on the bed, nice pillows, beautiful view…all was simply amazing. We truly had the best resting time, slept like a babies, enjoyed beautiful environment and safety.
I really loved the place and i would highly recommend it to any , who may need an accommodation in Hillcrest. And trust me… i have seen a thousands of hotels and guest houses;)
