We have stayed there regularly as my daughter has to visit Hillcrest Private Hospital every 6 months. Accommodation is basic but perfectly adequate. Breakfast wholesome. All in all good value for money

The accommodation comprises four nice room/suites in a lovely location. We experienced a couple of small niggles with our rooms, but these were dealt with by the staff acceptably well. Breakfasts were basic but satisfactory.

Only stayed one night and had to leave before breakfast. The accommodation is adequate, the rooms are very close together and the sound proofing not great. I could hear the dude in the room next door snoring and other sounds which was not great. Rooms have a fridge and tea coffee making facilities but no milk or milk powder provided. Linen felt a bit dated.

This venue offers a convenient location with attractive rural views. The accommodation is purpose built, with en suite rooms fronted by a roofed verandah opening onto lawns. Our arrival around 4-30pm was underwhelming. After waiting outside the locked reception door for some 10 minutes, a maid arrived and was almost resentful and surly in her hand over of the key and room. She was uncommunicative and provided precious little info on room facilities or provision of breakfast (the rooms are sold on a bed only basis). Rolling Eskom blackouts were in progress but there was no information provided either by the maid or in the tatty room folder. The room itself was clean, spacious and attractively furnished with a kithenette offering a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and crockery/cutlery for two guests. Sadly the fridge was barren with neither an ice tray, water or fresh milk to use with the tea and coffee. There was no aircon and the pedestal fan proved insufficient for the heat in the room. There is no wi-fi facility. Mark you, the price point for the room was competitive for a 3 star establishment so I guess the room and facilities were fit for the price. The owner/manager remained distant responding to telephone calls but making no effort to relate to guests. Friendlier was the resident bull frog who attempted to drown out traffic noise from the nearby arterial road with voracious croaking throughout the evening. Traffic noise receded between 11pm and 5 am. We opted not to take breakfast so cannot comment on the provision or cost. We do not believe the venue lived up to the generous reviews on TA and we are unlikely to return.
