Detailed Reviews
It's a bit of a mixed one this really.
Ideal location to walk the 100m down to the bubble to take you up the mountains but there are faults.
As someone who is allergic to fish it was really difficult to find out what some of the food at dinner was, and a lot of the bean salads appeared to have various types of fish mixed in with them. But Olivia, who has a smile to light up your night, was always very helpful. And the food is plentiful.
Our beds were made every day and we had more clean towels during the week than we expected, but I doubt it was vacuumed as there were bits of paper on the carpet when we left that were in the same place as when we arrived.
My biggest gripe, and word of warning, is not to use that bar card that they give you on check in. At the end of the week I was presented with a €175 bar bill which we disputed. You never know how much your round is as they don't tell you and never give receipts, so you can't prove anything later. We couldn't make our bill add up to more than about €130. Another couple had hot chocolates on their bill despite never buying them. Use your credit or debit card instead.
Would I go back? Yes, probably but it won't be for a few years.

We stayed here in February 2020, 4 adults although there is a sofa bed in the living area so you could squeeze in 6. Each bedroom has a bedroom but there is only 1 toilet. Self catering is easy as the spar is just a 5 minute walk away, and well stocked. The ski boot room is great, each apartment has its own locker with ample room, and heated boot warmers! The worst aspect are the lifts, which don’t all access the ski boot room, and get very busy. The Boisse telecabin lift is a 2 minute gentle slide down hill and you can ski back to the boot room door, ideal. It is the lower part of Tignes and not as well served as La Lac or Val Claret. But it has its own ski school location for lessons.
For the price, size and comfort I strongly recommend staying here.

Having read some other trip advisor comments I was a bit nervous about this booking but happily surprised. The rooms are very compact but kept clean and tidy with towel changes every couple of days. TV is in French only and randomly came on in the middle of the night. There are no curtains but a sliding mirror which blocks the window. The heating cannot be controlled and the electric heater in the room was on a timer which I could not fathom out. Room too hot most of the time. There is a plastic wall with pegs to hang wet ski gear. The bathroom is also small with a tiny bath only about 1m long. Shower above is OK. Plenty of hot water at all times.
Food wise I could not fault the service. Full English breakfast (not like we get at home), cereals, Yoghurt, fruits, cheeses, pancakes and full continental available. Plus eggs cooked to order. Tea coffee juices etc. Only down comment is the state of the crockery with many chips and cracks. Evening meals were excellent. Salads, soup, selection of various hot choices, various desserts, ice creams and cheese board. Wine on tap from a machine.
The ski boot room has heaters which did not seem to be left on long enough to dry boots properly and they were certainly cold every morning. Nice touch is the lockable skiis and poles storage rack. There are several ski hire shops within 5 mins walk.
There are two lifts, only one of which serves all floors. The bar is open 11 to 11 and the prices are only a little above the outside local bars. Recommend the Reservoir (next door), which is owned by an English woman and has Happy hour and great tasting burgers.
The boot room entrance is about 100m fairly flat walk to the gondola.
Most of the guests seemed to be French and if you are after a reasonable place to stay for skiing or mountain walking here is as good as any.

I think I can honestly say this is one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in over 40 years of skiing. Crystal have misrepresented this as a hotel when it should be and is a french holiday camp and not a good one at that. We arrived early on the 26th March but could not gain access to our rooms until after 6.00pm, despite the french having access mid afternoon. The rooms are comfortable but small, also you can hear everything either side of you. The food can only be best described as poor to bad, every thing is buffet style and even the hot food comes out cold, so much so we eat out several nights. The French appeared to be all exclusive including drinks, whereas we were charged for wine and other drinks. 2 small lifts served around 6 floors so almost impossible to use. This was also the first time I have had to use a padlock to lock my skis up in the boot room, which they charged e100 for, yet to be refunded.
If you are looking to nightlife, then this resort is not for you, there is absolutely none whatsoever in Les Brevieres.
There is no rep in resort so everything you need is told to you in Bourg St Maurice before the transfer by minibus to resort.
The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the lift station to gain access the the main ski area of Tignes and beyond.
There is a small Sauna and stream room, however the french had priority with their MMV hotel cards.

After a long day of travelling, we arrived yesterday 29/01 at approximately 6:30 pm in Hotel Club Mvv Les Brévières in Tignes. After checking in we made our way to the given room: room 207. It was downright filthy. To give you some examples: there were remnants of previous hotel guests on the towels, the beds looked like they had been left in a hurry, it was cold and there were no items like fresh towels and toilet paper etc. . We have also recorded this in photos, see attachment.
After reporting this, the reception assigns us another room, which would have been a good solution if there had been three beds instead of two. After reporting this again, we had to wait a while and we still got the newly cleaned room 207. Which we found almost absurd, since we know what the room had looked like 10 minutes ago.
You can imagine that we were disappointed to have to start our first ski holiday like this. That is why we decided that same evening not to spend the night there, not to consume anything, to hand over our unused ski passes, drink card, and food bands to the reception, to pack our bags and return home straight away.
In addition, we would like to emphasize that the photos published on the site, which we relied on to initially book the trip, do not correspond to the room we received.
Taking the above into account, we would like to see a full refund in order to solve our problem. This is because we found the accommodation in a completely different state than the photos we had based on at the time of booking. Also because the room was anything but tidy and we didn't spend the night there and didn't consume anything.
Thank you very much for your response.
With best regards,

Went with a fair degree of trepidation given a number of reviews from early 2022 but our experience was on the whole positive. A very different experience to previous skiing hotel that we have stayed in which was a smaller, more personal style with table service. MMV Les Brevieres was more Premier Inn style - clean, functional, does what it says on the tin. No real frills, but equally nothing to complain about.
Travelled as a family of 4, with an 11 and 13 year old and the 2 adjoining interconnected rooms worked well. Room was clean, beds made up daily and towels changed a number of times through the week. Rooms had clever storage features and we found were perfectly adequate for all our gear. Buffet breakfast and dinner was a bit of a scrum at peak times, but variety and options were good and if you went sharp, the presentation, particularly of the evening salad bar was super.
Evening entertainment was in French but the hotel is in France so hey ho! Yes, a bit loud and 20-30 primary school aged kids running amok, but it is a family focused hotel and a couple of years prior, our children would have been in the middle of it, so difficult to criticise now.
2 ski rental shops within a stones throw of the back door. 5 mins walk to the first cable car. 2 x cable cars and 1 x chairlift to get into main ski area, and struggled a bit with slushy snow down to Les Brevieres as the week went on and temps rose.
No hesitation in recommending hotel for family group, looking for a clean, functional hotel to eat and sleep in. Next time, if skiing in mid-April, would probably look to stay in one of the higher resorts so quicker access to the higher slopes.

Mid sized hotel designed to accommodate skiiers and largely occupied by French families, many of whom had small children (0-10 years). Rooms were small, but adequate and, unlike many ski hotels, had plenty of storage space. Bathroom has a half sized bath; the shower above works fine, but hot water could be scarce around 18:00. Food in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss though we could always find something we liked and never left wanting more. Bar service was slow at times and even the occasional tip made little difference; also the bar area always seemed to be a disorganised mess with dirty glasses piling up as the evening wore on. We were on All Inclusive and the drinks range was much as we expected, beer, wine and local (unbranded) spirits. The ski room was a decent size; sometimes busy and young children wandering around proved a bit of a hazard. Distance to the ski lift was more than the 150m advertised, at least double that, but not really a problem as the gondola gets you fast access to Tignes 2100. There isn't much to do in Tignes le Brev, just a few restaurants, two bars and a small supermarket, but if you are just there to ski then the MMV is fine.

Hotel room clean, small but adequate.
Location to slopes good. Location to elsewhere poor. Public transport and shuttle buses don’t run to Les Brevieres, so you are cut off unless you take a taxi, which is very expensive.
Negatives are that the hotel is predominantly French and there is little or no effort to include the English.
The hotel is dominated by children. They have a kids club, again French, which takes over the ‘relaxing’ bar area every evening. There are children literally running EVERYWHERE!! Great if you have children, who are French! The evening entertainment is geared up for children. Also, the adult quiz which feebly features is in French, so absolutely no attempt to include English guests.
The PA system is totally taken over by the staff running the kids club and is loud - and I mean REALLY loud - so it can be heard from your room until 11:30 pm and then follows the noise of the guests returning to their rooms after having quite a few drinks. Impossible to get to sleep until early hours so we were tired for skiing every day.
Not sure travel agents in the UK should be promoting this hotel. My advise is to look elsewhere.

Just back from a week here. On arrival, rooms not available until late afternoon which is normal and was expected, parked the car at 11:00 on Saturday, picked up our pre-booked skis from the ski shop next door, put our gear on, out on the slopes by 12:00. Short walk to the main lifts, fast modern telecabine gets you up onto the mountain, then a sometimes busy chair with queues up to 10 mins to get over the top of the ridge and access the rest of the ski area. Rooms were attractive, clean and comfortable and plenty of space to hang up wet gear, spacious heated boot/ski room. Food - we were all inclusive full board. Never came back for lunch but took advantage of packed lunch service. Buffet was a little chaotic at times (running out of certain dishes or crockery but never took too long to get sorted) but overall food quality and variety was good. Spa was a nice bonus just next door, book in advance. Staff were excellent - hard working, helpful, friendly. Entertainment sometimes a little dodgy also some great work by the entertainments team putting on a fun show. Overall highly recommended for a relaxed stay with a family as long as everyone is a good enough skier to cover a bit of distance to get into the main ski area.

Having read the reviews we were anxious about staying at this hotel. We booked a late deal and this was all we could find. However we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were small but quite modern, the beds were also small but comfortable for me as I am not tall. .Our room was cleaned daily and new towels left a couple of times. There always seemed to be a shortage of hot water at around 18.00.
The meals were all buffet and there was usually a good choice so there was usually something on offer that we liked. We tended to have wine with our meals rather than from the bar as it was of a better quality.
The hotel is very family orientated so another sitting area away for the bar and stage area would have been good as it did get quite noisy. The spa was very poor so we only used it once.
We were there to ski so out of the hotel a at nine in the morning and we did not return until four in the afternoon. So we did not spend much time in the hotel apart from in the evenings and usually went to bed early and our room was in quite a quiet area so there are no problems there. The ski room was fine and the ski, rental shop nearby which was a handy. It was a short walk down to the gondola and the ski back on the red was very icy, but there was an alternative green which we came down instead or you could’ve come down in the gondola. For anybody who is not sking it’s not a great place to stay as there is very little to do but for us for a week and the price we paid it was fine

Inter sport have a branch on the main street of Brevieres. I believe that you can get through from the hotel to the spa area which is almost directly opposite this shop.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the hotel arranges ski hire with their preferred dealer and they may well come to you to assist and deliver.
Hope this helps although I wasnt a resident at this hotel.
