We loved our stay at Le Chabi so much that we stayed an extra night. Jean-Pierre, Lydie, the rest of their family and staff were so welcoming, their food was excellent and the pool, sauna and jacuzzi were an added bonus at the end of our days skiing. The price we paid for a February half term ski holiday was really reasonable. I’d thoroughly recommend it. Le Chabi is walkable from Le Cret Beni ESF ski school although with two young ones (8 and 5) we did drive down each day as they probably wouldn’t have walked it without us carrying all their ski gear at some point, and we wanted to then make use of the access to the rest of the Portes du Soleil at La Pantiaz - a couple of minutes drive up the road from Le Cret Beni. It’s not doorstep skiing st Le Chabi but for the price we paid it was perfectly best enough. Dinner was at 7.30pm for kids and adults. Our two were knackered by then and I did wish they would still have an afternoon nap a couple of times (not a chance especially with skiing or swimming to do). This might not be for everyone with young kids but we still liked the fact they ate with us which hasn’t been an option in our previous two ski holidays.

Stayed here with a school group. The staff were really welcoming and put themselves out to help us. We booked the whole hotel for 4 nights and enjoyed super clean rooms, power showers and firm beds. The swimming pool was a welcome break from the sun and the scenery was fabulous. La Chapelle-d’Abondance has some wonderful restaurants but unfortunately we didn’t get chance to try them with 40 teenagers in tow!

We just came back from our 2nd visit to " Chalet Chabi "... we didn't go to ski this time , just to enjoy the surroundings and great amenities on offer at the hotel. John Pierre gave us tips for some lovely walks and places to visit. Everyday we swam in the warm pool and made use of the jacuzzi and sauna. We opted without hesitation for the half board option. Breakfast is a buffet with a selection of cheese , ham, boiled eggs and croissants etc. Every evening we had an amazing home cooked 3 course dinner... we loved every meal, fresh and extremely tasty. We had room 12, which had a wonderful view down the valley and up towards Chatel. Comfortable kingsize bed with a full bathroom. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The hotel has now installed a lift, so no lugging heavy suitcases up the stairs. Chalet Chabi has a central location, it's not on the Main Street but is literally just a 3 minute walk into the village. In the village there is a lovely family feeling. Nice pubs and a few ski shops etc. This is a small family run hotel, nothing is too much trouble for the owners. We are very much looking forward to our next stay at Chabi. Thank you to all the team for making our holiday a special one !

This must be our 8th stay here, and the excellent standard remains constant. Lyddie, Jean Pierre and their daughter run the hotel with politeness, great food and service, and make our, and other's stay there most enjoyable. The scenery can be enjoyed as you eat, and is memorable.
