My 2 friends and I stayed at Altis Val Vert at the beginning of March and it was an amazing experience. From the friendly staff and owners (Michele and Martine), great food and wine, clean accomodations and beautiful views and the close proximity to the gondola to Meribel, we would recommend this to anyone. We had a chance to meet the staff - Carole in reservations (just over e-mail), Michele at the bar and the chef one night at dinner and they were outstanding and attentive. We were accomodated in a 2 bedroom room, which was recently renovated and it was the perfect size for the 3 of us, with a great balcony overlooking the town. Easy access to Meribel and, if the gondola closes before you're ready to return home, easy and affordable taxis can take you back. We will defintely be returning next year. Thanks again, Michele and Martine!

We really enjoyed our week at this hotel. The food was particularly excellent,so we would recommend going half board ( we didn't, but ate there several evenings anyway). The rooms are fine and there is also a fitness room with sauna, hamam and jacuzzi. Staff were helpful. The hotel is v well placed for the cable car that takes you up to Meribel ski resort - just a 3 min walk up a hill.

Went there for 3 nights with my 14 y.o. daughter. We took the half-board package which we found very reasonable for what we got.

We slept in one of the renovated duplex room at the top floor. We enjoyed the large balcony with a great mountain view. I would have preferred a shower instead of the bath, but we enjoyed the separate toilet.

My daughter used the upstairs bedroom which was a little warm at night due to the high temperature we "luckily" experienced during our stay, as there is no air conditioning. With the windows open, it was just perfect for me.

We were visiting during the "thermal cure" period, so the menu was adapted for people on diet, which wasn't the case for us. Despite that fact, the food was awesome and the chef adapted the daily menu for my daughter who's vegetarian. Every we had was fresh and tasty.

Staff is professional and friendly at the same time, so are the owners.

Location is great, in the middle of the small town, but just off the Main Street.

The chair lift going to Meribel is 100 meters behind the hotel, making it a great place for skiers. During summer, there are numerous hiking trails all around the city connecting the whole region. Really a great place to visit.

We only stayed one night on our way to La Plagne.

The room was nice and quiet, with a big terrace and very functional. Shower was very good.

Our desapointment started at breakfast, staff was grumpy and not very helpful. Breakfast offered cheese in plastic packages as we are in one of the French regions which produces the best cheeses (tome, reblochon, etc...). The coffee machine served all types of coffees which taste was all but coffee. The bar is next to the dining room but staff is barely available and you cannot even ask for a coffee from the bar machine.

When I was asked at the check out by the receptionist if everything went well, i started making a comment about the poor quality of the breakfast and one old lady started to yale at me from her office at the very rear of the reception area letting me no chance to explain myself. At the end i had to tell the receptionnist that all went very well so the lady would stop her grumpy answers.

I paid 200€ and had one of my worse breakfast experience when normally at this fare you can expect to have at least fresh coffee.

We have just returned from a skiing holiday in Brides Les Bains made all the more special by our stay at this delightful family run boutique hotel. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished to a fairly high standard for the class of hotel. Our room was lovely, a good size with a balcony and a very modern en suite shower room. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well with little or no disturbances. The heating was efficient and controllable. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis but exhausted after a days skiing chose to eat in the hotel restaurant every evening - in fact there was no need to go elsewhere - the food was excellent and the plat du jour was extremely good value. Everyone was helpful and friendly and we felt very welcome. In terms of location for skiing, the walk to the gondola was five to ten minutes uphill and the trip up to Meribel was 25 minutes. This suited us as we have well and truly passed the age where we need to be the first on the slopes and the last off. In terms of value for money you really couldn't do better and compared to the cost of accomodation and food in Meribel an absolute bargain. The only thing that wasn't quite up to scratch was the sauna area - located in the yet to be renovated annexe it was a but tired and old fashioned. The jacuzzi was barely warm and there is not a proper changing area. We tried it once but decided not to bother again.

Absolutely fantastic (boutique type) hotel, just refurbished and under 100m from the Olympic gondola. Friend and I were blown away by the value, the friendly staff, the food and our fellow guests. Resort is a bit quiet but if you don't mind that and the 25 mins up to Merribel it's a great option.

I stayed with a group of ski tourers for a week in the older portion of the hotel, the chalet. Although dated in furniture and fittings, the rooms were large, comfortable, quite, immaculately cleaned and with responsive, fast reacting heaters. Rooms on the top floor had no useable wi-fi but friends in ground floor rooms had 5/5 wi-fi strength. We were on demi-pension. The breakfast provided a good selection but the dinner was a surprise. For all but one of the 5 nights of our stay, the evening meal was very good and occasionally exceptional. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located less than 4 minutes walk to the base station of the Olympe lift. We used the hotel to access other, nearby ski areas including La Plagne and Val Morel both a short drive. The hotel is set back from but very close to a Spar, post office, pharmacy and the town center facilities.

The food was excellent every night. The owner and her family were pleasant and very accommodating. We travelled as a family and stayed in a "family suite" which was cozy and very comfortable. We would stay here again for sure.

The hotel, its service, the staff, location, the dinner are the subject of delight and admiration! Next year if we go to BB we ll choose the very hotel cause there we were the happiest of the happy! There was some charm in going by gondola to 3 valley's heart every day up as downhill there was no snow we felt one way, up in Meribel - the other way as if two different worlds with their own peculiarities and atmosphere!

Clean and nice rooms; very friendly and helpful personnel; free parking at the hotel; heated locker room for ski material; close to different (ski)shops (for hiring ski material), bars etc.

Although hotel is very close to the ski-lift (5' walk); it takes about 40' to get to Méribel. Diner: quality of food is at an acceptable level with a varied wine menu. Unfortunately some more variety is required at the breakfast.
Sauna/jacuzzi/hamam area is clean but looks outdated and does not invite to use it.

As a conclusion: good location for a ski-holiday.
For info, we were sleeping in the main building.

No comment...
