Great location, clean hotel, nice room and breakfast. Fantastic receptionist who was very friendly and helpful, especially when we left our passports in the safe. My daughter has deemed this the best hotel ever due to getting free toys :) Thank you to the receptionist!

The hotel is as what you would expect when staying in a Novotel: good quality rooms and up-to-standard breakfast. COVID19 measures were in place. The service however was disappointing. Upon reservation, I explicitly asked for a parking spot as I would be traveling with a car full of luggage. I was told this was no problem, as long as I would arrive before 1800. Once at the hotel (well before 1800), the parking garage was full. When I explained that I had asked for a parking place and that is was promised to me, the receptionist put the blame on me as I should have known that such a promise was merely an intention and not a guarantee (?). She then bluntly told me to park in the street and unload the car or just accept the risk that the luggage would be stolen overnight… Secondly, breakfast was offered at a discount due to COVID19 restrictions. Despite the offer, the hotel charged the full amount when I settled the bill. The quality of the hotel was totally overshadowed by promises not kept and unfriendly staff. Next time I will think twice before booking another Novotel.

Stayed here when visiting the palace and after a long day of driving in and then touring decided that just staying in for dinner was our best bet. Well that bet was a huge loss. The hotel was only serving food in the bar and a limited menu due to COVID but that is no excuse. If they are going to serve subpar food then you don’t get to charge full prices. Our dinners consisted of jarred gnocchi served in the actual jar they apparently heated in the microwave. Can’t understand how an establishment would serve something of this quality and an establishment in France nonetheless. To charge 17 Euro for a microwaved jar of gnocchi is just unacceptable and the pizza our children had was much the same a frozen pizza all of which could have been purchased at a local grocer. If this is what you have to serve due to COVID you shouldn’t serve anything at all. This was bad enough I did also mention at checkout and the clerks expression was all I needed to see, the staff know it’s sub par food too. I did mention that I would like a response from management and also received none so hopefully can now. Overall I would say the stay was good and parking available which is nice but don’t eat here and that includes the breakfast which wasn’t much better, one would think in France a breakfast croissant would have been fresh at least.

I'm sorry that your experience didn't meet your expectation. Due to the low activity when we reopened our hotel, we decided to keep our restaurant closed. As there are many restaurants open in Versailles, our guest can easily eat outside. We have set up an offer of jars to allow our guest to have a catering alternative at the hotel. I regret that this offer didn't suit you. I offer you my sincere apologies. Your remarks are precious to improve our service. I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you a second time in better conditions and demonstrate to you our usual quality of service. Sincerely, Pierre

I booked this hotel for two reasons. 1) parking garage and 2) check in up until midnight. Most hotels outside of the Paris area do not have a check in desk that is manned past midnight. I was driving back from Normandy and had a car return back in Paris CDG the next day. I wanted to get close enough to Paris, but not have to pay Paris prices. This novotel was reasonably priced for a last minute stay and had a dedicated underground parking lot. It's quite confusing to get into and you have to ask to be buzzed in. Leave yourself enough time to retrieve the car. Tip: Unload your luggage first at the front because there is no elevator to the parking garage. You won't be able to walk your bags back up the narrow steep stairwell easily.

We chose this hotel because we know what to expect from Novotel and its location in Versailles. The reception staff was nice, very professional and knowledgeable. It was great to be able to walk to the Versailles historical buildings and gardens. RER trains and very nice mall with cinemas (12 screens) was also within a 30 mins walk. Breakfast was very nice with most options catered for. WE omly had diner at teh hotel once in the week and it was ok.
