After completing a 14 day isolation period near Bergen during the Covid-19 crisis My colleague and I traveled by ferry to Leirvik to be accommodated in this hotel prior to embarking our vessel. The young lady receptionist was most professional and a good choice as front of house staff. The restaurant felt far too sterile and unwelcoming, it was a take it or leave it food option, we decided it was better to source local take away food after the first night. Under different circumstances this hotel would and could tick all the boxes for personnel availing of Stord Island great outdoors.

I’ve had a short stay but it was enough to understand that this place is worth the money. Food in restaurant was delicious too. Early morning breakfast at 5.45 was great! They serve early breakfast or you can choose to take away

Our first stay in Stord Hotel. Parking is ample and for those of us with an electric car there are 4-5 free charging stations under a roof just outside the reseption which curiously enough is located at the rear side of the building. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good. The serving staff know how to adjust their behaviour to the customers preference. I noticed that a very unformal and friendly who served at our table was very much more formal at another table. They have just a very few wines on the menu but be advised that they have some 1500 in their cellar. I got one of those recommended dt my choise of food. All together the stay has been extremely pleasant so far..

We stayed at the Stord Hotel over East weekend and found this hotel to rival any large city hotel. The spa was great and the staff always willing to service. I especially want to call out Adriatic as he was a tremendous host and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel offers modern, very quiet rooms. Inexplicably, the windows could not be closed and there was no reading lamp by the bed. The ceiling light was not enough to read a book in bed. That simply should not happen at this level.
We were able to enjoy a super-fine dinner with salmon, roast beef, etc., all lovingly decorated. Unfortunately, we had to put up with epic waiting times. The beer we enjoyed could not be paid for with cash after consumption - this was only possible at reception on the day of departure. Since the rooms for our larger groups were paid for by the tour guide, each individual had to queue up in the morning, completely pointless, to pay for their drink. At reception, the necessary change was actually obtained from the service (!!). This is certainly not customer-friendly, because the service obviously had the option of collecting cash. This is an effective way of slowing down a group.

We stayed one night in this hotel on the way to Bergen. The staff was really friendly, the room and breakfast place were nice. The bathroom could be better but was the only minus. Even with corona, the service was satisfying, the breakfast could be better but since it is not allowed to have a buffet at this time, they did what they could to serve us a nice breakfast. So all in all we enjoyed to stay here :)

Hotel was okay. Room was comfortable, wifi was good. Shower was good and warm. Breakfast was okay. One thing that was disappointing was that the bar in the hotel closed early, despite there being around 40 people that were hoping for 1 or more drinks. Given that we were all part of a large booking of 50+ people eating dinner on the 9th floor, it should not have been surprise.

We have booked 2 nights in double room under handball festival. The room was old, not nice and VERY overpriced. Lack of basic furniture. 2 nails on the wall where it used to be a picture. The room was too hot and the receptionist said he could not help us with this… Later in the evening we got help from the other guy in the reception. Housekeeping did not clean day room. They never showed up. Breakfast was disappointing. All in all disappointing experience.

A beautifully renovated and modern hotel with pleasant service. The breakfast is fabulous and beautifully presented. The dinner is also magical - plenty of food, lovely flavors and very nice waiters. The view from the upper floors is really great and must be experienced.
