Hotel's Favourite
Amazing location. Staff greeted us warmly with an arrival cocktail. All the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. Lovely seating areas spaced around the gardens overlooking the mountains. Restaurant food was very enjoyable. This is certainly the place to come if you want to unwind. Rooms are contemporary and comfortable with great views which suited us perfectly. Don’t come here if you are expecting old school classic hotel style, this is a relaxing retreat in the mountains. The outdoor pool was a bonus.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful surrounding. It is an old building which is beautiful renovated. We had a standard room. The room is equipped with a mini-bar and a nespresso machine, cups included. The room is very quiet, you hear no sounds at all. The view from the hotelroom is unbeatable.
The breakfast is served in the restaurant, with more than enough choices and great quality. The diner is of high quality.
All the staff is very friendly and helpful. They can give information about the sights in the surroundings.
The swimming pool is very nice for relaxing, with seats and sunshades.
If you are a couple and looking for a luxurious place to stay, relax and great food in a wonderful environment, go here !
Although Google maps knows the place, it can not navigate there. The last part of the road is a private road, which is not on the map. The hotel provides a description to a signpost on the main road. Follow this and then it is easy to find.
We would love to come back and highly recommend it!
Thanks again to all the staff of Torre del Marqués.

There aren't enough superlatives to lavish on this hotel, the staff, the food and this area of Spain that my partner and I have simply fallen in love with...
The hotel is beautifully situated with an imperious view across vineyards and countryside to a mountainous backdrop, and has fantastic seating areas to soak it all in from. The pool is top notch and even though we were there in the Autumn, there were still plenty of sunny-enough days to use it. The rooms are an elegant design, as is the hotel in general, with an air of minimalist confidence that conjures that sense of serenity which you look for in this sort of hotel.
Javier and the staff treated us like royalty, recommending excellent trips, such as to El Parrizal, where you can walk through a gorge, alongside a stunning stream by way of raised wooden platforms: truly worth doing, however short your stay. Our trip to the ruins of Monasterio de Piedra was also special, albeit quite a distance from the hotel.
Highly recommend choosing to go half board because the dinners are fabulous. Vegetables are all grown on site - you can walk down through the gardens and see for yourself! Go for any lamb dish you see on the menu and you won't be disappointed.
Matarrańa is an absolute gem, unbeknownst to our friends in Madrid where we'd come from this trip. You certainly get a sense that this area will only gain in popularity - I read an article that called it the "Tuscany of Spain" and you wouldn't argue given the abundance of beautiful old churches, vineyards and restaurants. Get your trip booked in before the masses do!

Include this place in your Spain plans! We just got back from our honeymoon and this was the highlight of our trip. We stopped here for a couple days between the business of Barcelona and Valencia. It was so easy to WhatsApp the hotel to set up a transfer from the nearest train station (or anywhere you’re coming down for that matter) and the driver Fran was great.
The food at the restaurant was EXCEPTIONAL. Our favorites were the gazpacho and risotto (best we’ve ever had) and the service was great. No worries if you don’t speak Spanish.
We also loved the comfort of the room, the views, the wine (great value for such good quality local wine), the staff, and the spa. If you want a massage, make sure you book before your arrival.
Fernan, who is the new manager, was super friendly and helpful. I wish him and all of the staff well. You’ve set the bar for all of our future travels!

We needed a break from our hectic lives; and a little peace and the Hotel Torre del Marques was an oasis of calm and beauty. The room was stunning; beautifully appointed and so very comfortable; the hotel itself is very imaginatively decorated and designed; the grounds are well maintained and very unique without seeming contrived; and the spa is quite lovely. The staff are welcoming (and bilingual so our incredibly limited Spanish wasn't a blocker!) and the service is great - despite all the pandemic precautions, it was a treat!
The chef is to be especially commended; everything we ate – in that beautiful dining room with panoramic views of the mountains and big big skies – was absolutely wonderful! The Meloso marinero; and the meltingly-tender Aragon slow roasted lamb were particularly delicious! It was a fantastic trip and I'd recommend it to anyone; in fact I am already deciding when it'll be possible to return!

An oasis of peace when you arrive here.
This hidden gem is located quite remote from civilization.
The view is breathtaking wherever you sit.
With only 18 rooms it is small-scale. There are many seating areas inside and outside. It is very spacious so you don't have to bump into each other.
We noticed that other guests who arrived were given a complete tour, but we did not get one, so we only came across the many seating areas on our last day.
There are often Spaniards, English and Americans.
It is a 5-star hotel, but you can just be yourself. It doesn't matter how you dress or behave.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
They speak very good English at the reception. Especially Emma from reception is great, so sweet and funny.
In the restaurant they speak English slightly less well.
We ate there once and twice and twice we received a different dish due to the language barrier.
We had the standard room, which is quite large and has a very nice atmosphere.
The breakfast is fantastic. It must be said that if you sleep there for 6 nights, the same fruit can be more varied every day.
Personally, I thought that the Spa should be included in the price of your overnight stay. You now paid 25 euros per person, per hour.
You can take wonderful walks from the hotel! We walked/climbed to the highest point with a beautiful view.
To sit down for a picnic afterwards is really ultimate! You order this 24 hours in advance and they say it is ready for you.
Nearest villages are 30 minutes away by car.
If you come with an EV, no worries. You can charge for free at one of the 4 universal charging stations.

For the last 10 years we’ve spent Christmas at the same spa hotel in the Lake District but this year, after having to cancel several times due to COVID, we were finally able to visit Torre del Marques. We had high hopes and were not disappointed. The hotel, staff, food and wine far exceeded our expectations and we’ve already booked again for next Christmas. The building has been brought back to life sympathetically and is beautiful. All of the staff are very knowledgeable about the building, the area and local wine and oils and nothing was too much trouble. As we don’t eat fish or seafood and can be fussy with meats the chef even came to speak to us personally. Unfortunately we were not able to use the outdoor pool due to damage caused by wild boar, but the spa facilities more than compensated. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Torre del Marques to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This hotel enjoys a lovely location.
Unfortunately, the weather was poor during our visit so we did not get to sample the extensive outside facilities but we were somewhat disappointed by the lack of comfort inside. The chairs & spaces felt rather awkward and attention to detail was lacking eg a very loud squeak on our room door (WD40 is cheap enough).
Our main criticism is that the aircon, as stated in other reviews, in our opinion is just not efficient enough to cope with the Summer heat.
The restaurant was faultless.

This hotel has been beautifully crafted and in a very gorgeous location. The views are spectacular and it is a great base for exploring the region. Unfortunately, I had planned to spend a lot of time with my book in my room overlooking this amazing view (and expected to do this as picture of the room booked indicated), and instead the room had a window the size of a large book (and skylights to let in light). Room was small & lovely but the view was the reason we chose the hotel so this was disappointing. I also don't love a bathroom that has a glass entry door and no privacy. Bath itself was lovely and bed was comfortable. The other issue was the heating - the heating did not work well enough to cool the room (being at the top of the building it is probably the warmest room) and I had to sleep with a wet towel on me to make it through the night. You don't expect this at a 5 star hotel. Bring your own tissues too as these aren't provided. Breakfast was okay but hectic and staff frazzled and unfriendly, but the reception staff were just lovely and very helpful. Welcome glass of wine was a lovely touch, and it truly is a beautiful property.

Hotel located in an impressive setting, a large estate that houses its own winery, vineyards, almond groves, own ecological garden and horses.
It is a renovated and expanded / adapted 16th century building, 13 high quality rooms, SPA service, massages, horseback riding, wine tasting , visit to the vineyards and winery, plus there are hiking trails and outdoor pool, all with great skiers.
Highly recommended, it is a haven of peace.
Breakfasts are impressive in quality, quantity and views from the room.
There are also menus with pairing if you want to eat or dine at the hotel.
