Pleasant hotel in a tranquil rural location. Clean and friendly no frills accommodation with nice garden area and traditional features. Handy base for visiting the many local attractions. Our group of birders were able to visit top class locations with our guide and see lots of species rare in Britain. Extremadura Is birding paradise. Transport very necessary as there is not much of interest in the immediate area.
This is a nondescript rural hotel great for a stop over if you arrive late and need to leave early. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The food (dinner and breakfast) was however not to be compared with our other Spanish experiences - basic.
We stayed across the road from the main building and found it quiet and pleasant. The food was good with a choice of menu and traditional Spanish dishes. The service was friendly and as we speak a little Spanish there were no problems with ordering etc.. There was a selection of cold meats, yoghurt, cereal, fruit and cakes for breakfast and you could make your own toast. There was WiFi available but it was not good in our room. The bar was good and not too expensive.
It is an absolutely charming hotel, however a bit too rural. The level of English is poor, sometimes the surrounding is noisy (but for us o.k.). The restaurant is fine, as well as the rooms. We liked it and would go there again!
There are many nice things about this hotel - but far more that is not. Tthe decoration is interesting and it has a very nice outdoor paved, lawned area at the back which our room overlooked. There had to be some good reason for the double glazing and shutters on the windows and sure enough at night the lights and music kept us awake and we couldn't close the windows as the air conditioning didn't work and the room was very hot. We had dined earlier in the outdoor area - the waiters would have preferred we weren't there though and tried their very hardest to ignore us as we don't speak Spanish. We can read a menu though so there was no need for the rudeness. In the morning we complained about the noise, etc. and we were moved to another room in the other hotel across the street which was fine. We aren't so keen on drivng at night on what is, to us, the wrong side of the road so we chose to eat at the restaurant again - different waiter who had obviously drawn the short straw to get to serve us and he was even ruder than the one from the night before who looked on but made sure he didn't come near us. The breakfast, as other reviews also say, is so basic as to be pretty awful. Breads, cakes, etc in packets and the croissants in packets had been flattened so they resembled nothing you would know. The town is very uninteresting, nothing to take you there apart from the hotel and I would stay somewhere else. Their main asset is Gaudulupe (hope I've spelled that correctly) who worked like a Trojan. She didn't speak English either but was friendly and polite. …
