As a regular client, I was at backstage for diner last night. Asked the waiter if she had fresh chillies paste she said no, she was obviously new, untrained. She didnt even know what was on the menu. I had to get up and to to ask Grain de Sel for a chilli jar. No sooner than we finished eating, another waiter approached us with the card terminal and asked us to pay, that was so rude and pushy, we wanted to order desert and coffee but got so annoyed that we didnt. Upon asking why, she responded that it was a new policy. Really?? I would expect this attitude in a suburban snack but not at the supposedly 4 star Hennessy Park hotel and definitely not from the Indigo group. Very disappointed with the service, please up your game if you want to retain your clients. I have been a regular client at Grain de Sel and Rocher Coco and Backstage but never coming back again, Id rather take my business where I feel welcomed and not pushed out as if im disturbing the staff too much to ask for a decent service! Never felt so unwelcomed in my whole life! We went there on Sunday 29th May for a late dinner around 21:00. We usually go to Henessy for their sushi, but wanting to try out the new menu at Grain D'Sel, we exceptionally signaled to the lady welcoming us at SushiMe that we would be heading to Grain D'Sel instead. The resto was quite full with one or two empty tables. After standing at the entrance for a while waiting to be seated, a waiter approached us and asked if we made a reservation, which we declined (mind you, it was 9.00pm!!). He appologetically informed us that our order might take some time since they needed to serve a table of 15pax first. We had not even decided if we would stay and eat there, when his manager/supervisor appeared and stated that they were fully booked. No apologies, no smile, no suggestion as to whether we would like to wait; he did not even propose other alternatives. Truth be told, we were too hungry to argue at this point. So we told them that we would go back to SushiMe. To our astonishment, the so called manager said that they might be fully booked over there as well. What?! I mean, we were just welcomed there, with many empty tables. Didn't it also occur to him to confirm with the restaurant first before dropping this bomb to a famished couple? So unhelpful and inconsiderate, I'm really appalled that a four star business hotel would ever consider employing staff with such attitude to represent them. Long story short, we had our dinner at SushiMe which we thoroughly enjoyed, as usual. Our "friendly" manager appeared again, this time escorting a tourist couple to their table beside us, all smiles and suggesting a menu. Really...double standard..They had already forgotten so fast that it was us "ti morisien" that was helping sustain the tourism industry during covid lock down. Now that they don't need us....Such a sad world.

I stayed at HP from May 16-20 for business. Working with MIE, uMAURITIUS and SeDEC. As soon as I discovered that money was taken from my wallet, I contacted HP on Sat and Sunday MAY 21 and 22 and was told by the receptionist that the manager will call me back. But never did. A university rep and I then came to the hotel on Monday May 23, 2022 and met with Ryan, the manager on duty who told us to leave the matter with him after taking a written statement from me. He told the uni rep and I that he would speak with his superior to have our last day’s rooms refunded to show good faith and compromise. Were we told to proceed to give a theft statement to the Police we would have done so on that same day. As well, as tourists we assume that our hotel is safe and free from thefts. If the hotel is not assuming responsibility who is then? And if the responsibility rests on us, the hotel should have a sign stating BEWARE OF THEFTS. Ryan misled us and I ran out of time as my visits were nearing the end. When I spoke with CIA and the Police we were informed that your hotel has huge problems. Many victims have already came forward. I faxed them my ID so that my name is added to the list of victims. There are no standards of care and I urge all to stay away from the hotel. I feel saddened with this beautiful country with so many potential that lacks leadership. I have told Mr. GLANNES that I will share his lack of actions with the DPM, uMauritius and SEDEC administrators who recommended the hotel.

Dear Mrs. Chitpin, First of all, we sympathize with you for the alleged theft. Referring to our several exchange of emails since your departure and your threats to tarnish our reputation, we were expecting this review. For those who will read this comment, we wish to do a recap of the facts. During your stay and until your checkout on the 20th of May, you did not report any loss of money to us. We have only a record of your query about a sum of money missing in your suitcase on the 23rd of May when you called at the hotel. You mentioned that you tried to contact us on 21st and 22nd without reaching any manager. Following your statement on the 24th of May, we conducted various investigations such as lock reading, camera reading and staff’s statement. All these elements are available and if necessary, we will hand over to the local authority. From our point of view, nothing abnormal or suspicious has been noticed during your stay. Despite your blackmail, in the absence of evidence, the hotel cannot take the responsibility of the loss of your money. The hotel cannot give you $500 under threat when there is no element validating the theft. Once again, we remain at your entire disposal to communicate all the elements to you. I was at Hennessy for a week break and it was an amazing experience. As you enter the Hotel, you are welcome with the beautiful smile of the staff at the front desk and they are very helpful. Very good deal at the restaurant and lovely staff. Make sure you don’t miss out the Tuesday deal at the Restaurant. Value for money and clean hotel. i ordered a chicken Hawaiian pizza.they tuk 45 MINS t give me m pizza n m surprise they gave me a veg Hawaiian pizza.it was crusty n the topping was horrible. i went back t the chef and told him dat it was a veg pizza and zer is no chicken. he said that there is chicken. they fooled the client giving them veg pizza saying it is a chicken Hawaiian pizza.panoarottis pizza is way better n tastier zan the backstage one.horrible experience. even the pizza was not up to the standard for a business hotel. bad service. I upload a photo of there so called chicken Hawaiian pizza even the napkins were dirty and the there was dirt on the chair. i dont recommend to go to eat there.

We found service very poor, food order was taking in disorder , when food arrive waiter just ask ,four cocktail de crevette and we must raise our hand to have our plate ,even for the main course They don’t know who is taking which dish, no ice bucket for champagne , must wait for more or less than 15 mins to have service, Other point to be noted , a group of about 20 pers taking apero on the terrace separate from our table by a door and waiter several time pass by the door and we have cigar smoke which came to our table while dinner Very uncomfortable,

On my 2nd appointnent, I had to wait a long time for my massage, when I had aready booked well in advance... Apparently the masseuse was late...by 1 hour at least....It was already lunchtime.. (I waited since 10h45am)... I prefer Ispa at Suffren where the team is more professional and communication is better... So roughly 1 star for this experience... I put two stars because my first appoinment was worth 3 stars at most...

A group of colleagues went for lunch -Pizza crust turns out hard and dry .,stuffing on the pizza was scare and barely Mozarella. Mojito cocktail was horrible with rotten mints leaves and ugly lemon skin .Lots of mosquitoes and flies around. Very bad experience.

Great stay at Hennessy. Like the art and food (good menu for the restaurant among 3 choices including a proper sushi place). Bar is nice, concerts in the weekend. Pool small but ok. Slept v well. Great staff, Heena and Megan took good care of us.
