We had a team building trip to Kostel. After that I called to Kovač that we are coming and asking for possibilities of lunch and use of swimming pool. The answer was no problem. After our arrival problems occurred. Pool was only for hotel guests, we waited for an hour on not quite tasty food. Not to mention deviations from the menu.
We spent 5 days (4 nights) in the hotel. According to the estimates given before departure, there were no high expectations regarding the accommodation. Rooms and food for undemanding. The saunas were a positive surprise. Bicycles were as expected older, so I recommend that you bring your own (if you plan to ride more). Below are some impressions ... Hotel Room: The hotel room was in line with expectations; given the age of the hotel and its location, the expectation for room standard was not as high as in some hotels in more developed parts of Slovenia. The room is on average clean, there are no hygiene problems, towels are changed as needed. Pros: + suitably clean rooms Cons: - double single beds with hard pillows and older bed linen - the kettle in the bathroom does not hold water - defective main lamp bulb in the bedroom - There is no refrigerator in the room - without air conditioning in hot summers Wellness: The offer includes a swimming pool, jacuzzi and saunas. It is located in another building 50m from the hotel. Pros: + spacious and suitably arranged saunas. There are several saunas available, otherwise they do not work all at once, but there is enough choice for everyone. Cons: - in a separate building from the hotel - Jacuzzi smells of chlorine (probably necessary for hygienic reasons) - the pool is satisfactorily large, but not deep enough for normal swimming Food: Food is available as breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is located in the dining room within the hotel. Cons: - Very similar food every day - Potatoes are often undercooked - Sometimes oversalted food Surroundings: Pros: + Opportunity for cycling and hiking trails + Quiet location + A break from everyday stress Cons: - Worse in case of bad weather Total: Grade 7/10 Pros: + Weekend getaway in peaceful nature, far away from everyday life + Good location for a weekend cycling trip or hiking trails + Friendly staff Cons: - The hotel offer is worse than the average 3 * hotel in Slovenia Summary: Summer weekend getaway for undemanding guests, suitable for cycling, nordic walking or a short break in one of the saunas.…
We are a family with two kids aged 3 and 5. We stayed here for one night on half board. On the positive side is absolutely a wellness which is nice, clean and not crowded. Kids loved the swimming pool. It is not deep so they were able to stand. The room was also clean and tidy. On the average side is food. If you are looking for a high end cousine, you are not on the right spot. There was a single menu for dinner. The breakfast was average continental breakfast with nothing special. On the negative side was a jacuzzi near the swimming pool. It had a strange foam above it. Maybe it was soap or something else. We don't know. All in all it is a nice hotel far in the woods with good wellness and swimming pool.
They don’t have a menu to start with. The food was cold, very oily and salty. The meat had a very strange layer on top... the interior was very outdated. There weren’t other alternatives in the region so we tried this restaurant, but we never came back.
We spent there two days and it was one of the most relaxing time. The hotel is in the most beautiful nature, surrounded with the mountains.Food is amazing and the people are very friendly. They even bake us a special cake for our birthday! A place to visit! Highly recommended!
