Absolutely wonderful - the hotel looks quite plain from the outside, but is, in fact, a big complex of several interconnected buildings with a beautiful garden and a great pool. It is definitely an upscale place, and we were lucky to use their special offer for a room during the slower than usual 2020 summer. Everyone on the staff was simply wonderful - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and very welcoming! We had 2 different rooms during our stay, and both were quite nice - not overly modern, but comfortable, clean, and well-organized. The location of the hotel is perfect - right between two beaches, and an easy 3-min walk away from the old town. Yet, you can sleep comfortably with no noise interruptions from the town. The breakfast was great (even in the COVID times, when there was no self-service), the outdoor swimming pool fantastic, and the garden was simply fantastic. Could not have asked for a better stay, and will gladly come here again!…
I could not sleep before 1 am because of a party (with loud thumping music and a few tens of very noisy people ) which was taking place inside the courtyard onto which my window was opening. I find it a shocking lack of respect for guests (and also for inhabitants of the neighborhood) that such a party could place inside a busy hotel, just for the enjoyment of a few youngsters. Of course I complained, but the manager I got on the phone was glib and disrespectful, making it seem like I was the truoblemaker, and claiming believe that the music would stop at 11 pm anyway As the noise went on, I complained again, and they proposed me to change rooms (at 11:30 pm!). So late in the night and with my belongings scattered all other the room, I didnot feel like leaving, but the music continued and when it finally stopped around 1 am , the party crowd continued talking at the top of their voices....…
This is an unusual hotel. When one arrives, it seems like a small, quaint boutique hotel, and if you stay in the front part - as we did - one may only discover the rest at breakfast which is served in a big room in another building near the pool. We had a small, but adequate, room overlooking the southern beach - a lovely view. The reception team were delightful and very helpful. If we come to Sestri Levante again we’ll certainly stay here and ask for the same or a similar room with a sea view.
We stayed at this delightful hotel as part of a tour and they were wonderful! Decor is exceptional and spotlessly clean. You can enjoy both and indoor and outdoor pool with spas. Location is wonderful and beaches, shops and restaurants close by. Staff very helpful and friendly. Treat yourself to this hotel!
First time we picked this hotel for the location. From the entrance to the hotel you just need to walk 35 steps to get to the small and fascinating beach at ‘Silence Bay’. However, we found the hotel a wonderful place to spend you time, when you’re not going to the beach or sitting at one of the great restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is warm and really welcoming. The staff - being Cristina and her colleagues during the day or Andrea taking the night shift, are helpful in so many ways - and always with a smile. You, as a costumer, is first priority - something other hotels doesn’t always quite get. The decor is old fashioned but nice, the rooms we’ve stayed in are spacious with minibar and the pool area is great - with sun from early morning to late afternoon. This was our third stay - wouldn’t change it for the world when visiting Sestri Levante. Hotel Due Mari is a big part of why we come back to this seaside town and why we like to visit it.…
