We stayed at Il Tosco on Christmas Eve, and to say we loved it would be an understatement. Eleanore was so cheerful and helpful. Her mom baked cake after cake, and her Dad was there as well, just being happy. The facilities were immaculate, the...More

Il Tosca is a beautiful bed and breakfast run by Elena and her mom. Our room did not have a balcony, but just walk outside and you will get unbelievable views everywhere! Elena is so helpful in giving you suggestions on what to do there. The breakfast in the morning was a feast, her mom cooks. I would go back in a heartbeat, this place is a gem. I am very particular in cleanliness and this place is spotless. Yes, we had a car too. Make sure you get the directions to park first, as I didn't and had a tour by car all the way up the hill - pretty scary when you are not used to it. Email her with any questions, she gets back to you right away. Truly you can not go wrong with Il Tosca, I was so lucky to find them!!!!

you can arrive with the train in Chiusi station (the closest train station to Il Tosco. Firenze - Chiusi is 1.30 h- 1.50 h travel) You can rent a car next to the station but I recommend to book it in advance. You can return the car in Chiusi and take the train to Rome (1.40 h - 1.50 h travel).
If you rent a car in Firenze, while you travel to Montepulciano, you can stop to visit San Gimignano, Monteriggioni and Siena or you can stop in The Mall, luxury outlet or The Space, Prada outlet.
You can return your car in Rome and while you travel you can stop to visit Orvieto.
I hope I was helpful.
