We selected this B&B for its proximity to the cruise port. We arrived early but the owner Elena and her companion Mattia were very gracious to check us in. The place is very clean and well maintained. We were accommodated on the 3rd floor. The living room has a long L-shaped balcony, one side of which has a full view of the shore and the harbor. The hotel is 10 minutes walking distance to the shore. There are shops and restaurants below. We stayed on a Saturday night. On Sunday morning we were served breakfast in the balcony by the owner’s family! We highly recommend this place.
Excellent in every way. The directions they gave us were easy to follow. We arrived by train and picked the location as halfway between the station and the cruise terminal. We were greeted by several young ladies, offered a cold drink and nibbles, shown our room and given keys and a rundown of the accommodation and surrounding area. They all spoke excellent english. Our room was spacious and comfortable and our private bathroom across the corridor. Other rooms have ensuites. Breakfast was a choice of the usual, a toastie for me and scrambled eggs for my partner. Juice, tea and slices of cake too. Checkout at 10am but offered to let us stay until ready to head for our cruise. The large, shady balcony is a great place to watch the world go by. Would certainly recommend.
I was a little daunted when I arrived at the building and opened the front door to be greeted with a flight of stairs, but my fears of having to haul 2 suitcases up those stairs were soon banished when the owner and her boyfriend appeared and carried all our luggage up those stairs to the 1st floor where there was a lift. The B&B is located on the 3rd floor and was a delightful place to stay. the room was large and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you could want and the attention of the owner was exceptional. Breakfast the morning after we arrived was plentiful and lovely. A great place to stay, close to the port if you are going on a cruise.
We loved this place but as another reviewer noted first you have to find the door in a grotty arcade after hoisting luggage up 12 steps. After pushing the button and gaining access to an outside area there are another 17 steps. You then need a guide dog (joking) to find the one person elevator. There was no notification as to what level we needed. After riding the elevator for some time I located our apartment on level 3.Not a great experience after flying from Melbourne. There is a nice one bedroom apartment with balcony that has amazing views but the other three rooms look over the apartments next door. Our room was spacious and lovely with a great en suite. However the other two rooms seemed to have to share a bathroom. If you want the amazing view book the apartment not the side rooms, we wish we had. Our hosts live off site but not a problem ,they were there to welcome us and back again at 8.00am to provide a sumptuous breakfast on the front balcony as there is access from the kitchen I highly recommend this property but if like us you are in senior years with the usual joint problems associated with age this lovely property may present a serious challenge.…
We chose this B&B because it was close to a the cruise port. What we found is that it is a very close walk from the train station to the B&B. It is in a central location that seemed like a mall. You make your way between a book store and another building, turn left and find a door on your left where you ring a doorbell for them to let you in. You do need to walk up about 20 steps. Then you can go down the hallway to an elevator near some steps that takes you to the floor number three which is where the B&B is. Stay to the left as the elevator is just beyond the steps. The B&B is owned by a young couple who goes out of their way to make you feel like family. We had a lovely room, very spacious and a beautiful common balcony which we loved. We met some lovely people on the balcony where they serve breakfast in the morning. The owners actually give you a menu from which you can choose an American breakfast or a European breakfast. They greeted you with a lovely assortment of sweet treats and drinks. We could not have asked for more from a be a dude. In fact, this couple went above and beyond. We will certainly return to this place over and over again. An excellent value for your money!…
