We absolutely loved our stay here. It was our first night of a month of travelling and thanks to Ugo it is still the place that holds our fondest memories. Like other travelers have said it is in an older building with stairs but again this is no problem as the hosts will help carry your bags up if need be. Our room had the most wonderful view of the port and bed and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. It is in the perfect position to enjoy a walk in the town and has the best pizza restaurant just down the road. Again in the morning Ugo made us a wonderful breakfast while we enjoyed having a chat with other guests. We only stayed for one night as we boarded a cruise ship the next day but would of loved to stay longer. Thanks again for our wonderful stay we can't recommend this B&B more highly.…
This is the second time we stay at Fuori dal Porto. It’s spotless clean, beautiful modern functional furniture. Ugo the owner and his sweet wife pamper their guests, they are extremely hospitable. The B&B is on the second floor but you are helped with your luggage up and down. We were even accompanied from the train station and to the cruise port. Thank you ever so much Ugo. We will definitely come back.
We stayed here for just one before boarding a cruise ship the next morning. We were very grateful for the welcome and helpfulness of the hosts. The B&B is located just a two minute walk from the centre of the town with lots of restaurants nearby, and about a min walk to the area where you can board the (complimentary) bus to your cruise ship. The B&B is located in a beautiful spacious building, with comfortable beds and great shower and bathroom. We also had an excellent view of the cruise port from our window. Breakfast the next morning was just excellent, cooked to order, relaxed and chatting with our hosts. We really felt at home here. My only regret is that we did not stay for longer, next time we shall. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality, we hope we will see you again soon.…
When you first approach this B&B you think this isn’t much to look at. It is located in an older building (everything is old) with small shops surrounding it. What makes this place is the hosts and the location. Our hosts were excellent greeting us at the train station and wouldn’t allow us to carry our own stuff. Though communication was difficult, they went out of the way to serve our every need and to ensure we were properly settled. They provided good recommendations for eating and shopping. The location is great especially if your are cruising. It is 2 blocks by foot to the terminus. Our host walk us to our bus and even put our stuff on the bus. Breakfast was simple but good with hot meal included. Our room was spacious enough and well laid out. Mattress was quite comfortable. Bathroom newer renovations with shower bidet and toilet, instant on water. …
Nice home, very typical of a B&B in Europe... breakfast was truly incredible. Room was large, with the bathroom down the hall(did not bother us). What really shines here is that the owner came to the train station to pick us up, even though it was after 9pm when he and his wife typically went back to their own home. He lugged our baggage up the floors to our room, made sure that we were safely ensconced, and then directed us towards a wonderful pizza place where we could have dinner before going to bed. They are the nicest couple, and the other guests were friendly and talkative when we met in the breakfast room. They felt like friends, rather than owners of a B&B!
