Looking for romantic escape in the stunning city of Caserta? Seeking for an absolute oasis of silence and fresh air? B&B “A Corte” is the right choice for you. Myself and my mother had the opportunity of staying in this gorgeous place for a couple of nights and we received the most outstanding treatment. Lorenzo the manager will guide you through the right locations to visit and where to go for any necessity you might have, he’s extremely professional and benevolent and always with a big smile on his face. Make sure you try everything in the breakfast buffet, you’ll certainly adore the selection of local bio products, I totally recommended it!

I came to Caserta from Sicilia, about 12 hours journey with a night bus. I looked for a quite and peaceful place around Napoli after a quite chaotic trip and found this one with great reviews.
It is important for me to mention that the hostess, the hospitality are very much important for me (at the same level with cleanliness) when choosing a place to stay.
My family runs a B&B, I am very sensitive to the hospitality matter and would try to avoid reviewing a “not satisfy review”.
At first I emailed the owners after looking at their website, the price for a single room/occupation was written 30€. On their email they wrote 40€ per night, so I nicely asked if I can get the price written on their website. They agreed. They also agreed for an early check in (around 12:00).
Lorenzo the hostess seemed nice but he doesn’t speaks English. He called to his daughter to explain me about the area, the room etc. Let’s say gently that his teenage daughter was not the most patient or helpful person, she spoked really fast and just wanted finish with this “mission” she got.
I felt a little uncomfortable and confused due the high score reviews.
The room looked nice and clean, the shower is quite unique looking.
I went out in town and came back in the early evening super tired (after 12 hours in the roads as mentioned before) and I fell asleep. Around 21:30 pm I get 3 calls from the owner and then they knock on my door. I thought what’s going on here? Maybe fire? I answered: yes and they said: there is a problem, you need to change room tomorrow. I said OK, tomorrow, I am asleep now. What was so urgent to call 3 times and knock on my door especially when you know how tired I am (I told them), that everything in the room is shut and in dark? They could also send a message... wait for the breakfast.. terrible.
But it doesn’t finish here... from this moment until midnight more or less they stood outside the door of my room and spoke so loudly with other guests or neighbors, I have no idea. So loudly it was unbelievable, so unthoughtful to do that. I really couldn’t believe for what is going on.
After they finished their social loudly meeting outside, they entered their house which is on top my room. They were so loud there as well, I could hear them moving things, speaking and every step in the house. No peace until 01:00 am. Altogether with barking dogs, non stop. I was so angry and upset in the bed, so tired, just wanted to get out of there first thing in the morning and so I did (I planned to stay 3 nights). Honestly a terrible experience.
The only 1 star I gave is for the good coffee and for a great cornetto that I had before leaving (08:00am). That is it. 0 zero in hospitality. I have no idea how come this place is ranked so high...

The owners are great, Lorenzo have renovated the old farm where his grandma lived into a tasteful set of rooms with lovely touches. The tiles in the bathroom mismatched antique ones, nice knotted pillows on the sofa... etc. Warm and welcome. Courtyard where the rooms are facing is shaded full of flowers. The rooms are nice and cool in the night and there is air conditions if you need one! We returned twice to stay with Lorenzo and his daughter elizabeth(she speaks English) . I loved the breakfast, eggs from their hen, local sourdough.. homemade cake, lovely pancetta, and even tea with fresh mint leaves Lorenzo brought from his garden.. just a place I d imagined B and B should be not only a business but a way of life. Thanks!

Tucked away 15 mins drive up hill. Greeted by a lovely lady (a motherly figure). Family run. Elegant, clean room with a hot shower. Quiet location. The owner and her family could not do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely , especially the homemade cake (which my partner ate far too much of!). Went for a meal at a local restaurant which was delightful, full of local people all watching the football- lovely atmosphere. Never ending dishes of food, very reasonably priced - best experience of our whole Italian holiday. Ask to be taken there you won't regret it. Thank you for a lovely stay. Susanne and Paul.
