Everyone we met here was excellent. We did one of the wine tours with the extremely knowledgeable wine maker. We learned a lot and the tasting was good too. Our room was really comfortable and the bathroom was very chic and modern. We loved how quiet it was. The pool looked lovely but the weather was not friendly enough for us to use it. Great location for exploring this part of Tuscany.

We loved Villa Cilnia. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly. We had a room with a view across the vineyards and the view was spectacular. There is plenty of parking and they offer a terrace where you can have a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the vineyard. There is shutters so you can close out the noise and light if you wish. The bathroom was amazing with a great shower and lots of space.

I have read the negative reviews and concluded that the reviewers did not have an accurate understanding of where they were staying. This is a secluded villa that is absolutely amazing as a romantic rejuvenation getaway for a couple. Yes, you definitely need a car. If you don't like nature and lots of quiet solitude, this may not be the place for you. My wife and I spent three days here. The front desk is open in the morning and then closes around 3 or 4pm as the staff goes home. No worries, they give you a number to call 24/7 if you need anything. There was no one else staying at the property when we were there, so we had the whole grounds to ourselves. We took walks among the olive trees, sat next to a lake up behind the property, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. The breakfasts were amazing, with lattes, cappuccino, all kinds of pastries, juices, and even eggs available upon request (although we didn't ask for any). The days we were there were unseasonably chilly, so they had a cozy fire already going when we got into breakfast. Adding to the wonderful experience was the ability to enjoy associating with the Villa Cat, "Macchia" She was so sweet and we loved her greeting us when we came home each day or when we got up in the morning. Ultimately, if you want a relaxing getaway without a lot of activity, this is the place for you. Plan ahead, rent a car, and enjoy!

The first room we checked in had a broken safe - we asked for a different room ( which for some reason annoyed the receptionist ) then she gave us a room with a broken refrigerator. The breakfast is very very poor with little choice of foods. Don't book your stay if you don't plan to have a car with you during your stay - unless you enjoy extremely long walks. There is absolutely nothing around the Villa , so if you're thinking to stay here make sure you bring enough water and food.

We booked this place and arrived in mid May. A restaurant was mentioned in reviews, Air conditioning and a Spa. On arrival the restaurant was closed for the season the Spa staff left early so no treatments could be booked, and to make matters worse the air con was set to warm (24 degrees C at the time). So for €99 we got a hot room in the middle of nowhere. We explained that we could not sleep in a room that warm and left. WE WERE CHARGED REGARDLESS. When challenged by the credit card company the hotel lied about the incident.
