The lodge is located in a small park along the lake. No large animals or predators though, due to the proximity with villages. The lodge has nice views over the lake, and the chalets are nice. Food is average. The main reason to stay here is the location midway between Murchison Falls and Kibale.
We will never forget our bush dinner overlooking Lake Albert and the thousands fisherman lights during the night. Plus the BBQ was excellent, I don't eat meat and the manager arranged a special meal for me at the last minute. This place has a wonderful view and the cottage are very nice. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Only the breakfast could be a little improved.
This lodge is located inside the Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve located on top of a cliff overlooking lake Albert. Each room is a little tent-house with a bedroom and bathroom. There is a large bed, bedside tables and a small sitting area outside the tent-house. The bathroom has a nice rock-wall around the shower. The dining area is also very nice, providing an upstairs for better views. There is free WiFi in the dining area. The breakfast was also good. For dinner we were taken for an evening walk into the bush and it ended at lake Albert where a table was set for us for a bush dinner. It was excellent and the view down to lake Albert was really nice. You can walk on your own all over the place looking for birds - which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. If you have very small children you will have to watch them closely because of the cliff.…
We spent 1 night in this lodge and we loved it. The rooms are big tents with all comfort you wish for and the feeling like you are sleeping outside. The place has a small swimming pool and a great view over the lake. But the best part was our bush dinner, it felt like paradise.
We just stayed there one night - bungalow nice and clean, beautiful view overlooking Lake Albert but management not worth mentioning. No real briefing or information when you arrive. We asked for two chairs only after asking a second time two hours later we finally got two! Dinner was fine but breakfast non existent after 45 minutes waiting. Also the ordered packed lunch didn‘t work out. Wondering how much longer they will stay in business. Believe taking advantage as being strategically well located coming from Murchinson NP heading to Kibale Forest.
