Stayed here in 2003, and I suspect is still owned by the same people. It's a fabulous little village and the owner was so helpful and friendly and showed me around. It isn't a 5* hotel, but a friendly place with real rural feel. The views alone are the reason to stay here.

Stayed for 2 nites from 3 June. Was booked for 3 but because I had earlier made arrangments to return to Ajaccio I checked out one day early. To start. This is a very basic facility. It's a Youth Hostel ok? It's NOT a une etoile hotel but everything you need is there tho you will need your own towels. Unless you have your own transport (car/bike) I would recommend you stay a max of 2 nites. This is not the fault of the Hostel. It's simply that there's a very limited amount of things to do around here ... no walks, at least none that I could find. On my full day in Zevaco I got up late and walked to the natural heated baths in the village of Guitera les Bains. There were only 2 people staying here during my first nite and on the 2nd I had the place to myself. The hostel is located in the tiny beautiful village of Zevaco. Everything (including the showers) were reasonably clean There were 3 rooms in total each with a number of bunk beds. The outdoor sitting area has a fantastic view over the valley. I wanted to laugh when I saw the showers. They work well and they provide hot water but my goodness .... the back of the showers is ...... solid natural rock! The mirrors over the outside wash basins give a view over the same valley as the sitting area. Personally I have never shaved in such a stunning setting before. The owner iof this facility s the amiable Donald (don't be fooled: he's as French as Camaembert despite his name) who showed me around before suggesting I might want to buy some food from his neighbour due to the lack of eating places in Zevaco. When I said yes he took me along to his neighbour's home, stood outside and yelled "Antoinette!" Antoinette came out her home and duly showed me into her artisan son's charcuterie which turned out to be a large upstairs room hung with acres of Copa and Lonzo etc I bought my food and with Donald's single complimentary beer I began my stay Chez Macdonald. On the morning I checked out Donald gave me a lift into Ajaccio and bought me a coffe at Ste Marie Siche - 2 nice gestures. I would stay here again. It may be the cheapest accommodation in the whole of Corsica but to take full advantage of this you need your own transport so you can use Zevaco as a jumping off point for day trips.
