We stayed at the cottages overlooking the dam. They are attached to each other so It might be a problem if they are all occupied by strangers that are not considerate. This place was better than the pictures on the website. We had the whole place to ourselves, nice and peaceful. The hosts welcomed us as well as see us off the Sunday, enquiringly about our stay and experience. We unfortunately only stayed one night. We will be back for sure. Leon and Noeleen.
Inn on Highlands self catering cottages are well kept, easy to access with great views of the Elgin valley. The cottage we stayed in had 2 bedrooms each with on suite bathrooms. I would definitely return in winter to relax by the fireplace.
A great place to stay, I stayed for 4 days around a friends wedding at a nearby venue. The cottages are set in a beautiful location, with stunning views. But even better are the owners Nicky and Keith who went above and beyond to help me, offering assistance and even picking me up some shopping for me when I was experiencing car trouble.
We stayed in Mr Gold while doing a stage trail run in the area. The accommodation was spot on, friendliness of Nikki exceptional and the beds really good. Having run 2 days in a row the body needs a good rest and this is definitely one of the places you can sleep well. Add into the mix the great location and you have a winner. Well done and we will be back for sure.
We attended a wedding and stayed for two nights. The cottages are renovated or revamped. They can accommodate up to 65 guests and the self-catering accommodations look over amazingly beautiful rolling hills and apple orchards. My husband and I stayed with family members in a share-house with three bedrooms. Each room has beautiful linen and our room had an en-suite bathroom. There is a restaurant down in the valley next to a big dam. We had the most scrumptious meal the Friday evening and both our hosts Nicky Jarratt and her husband went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Myself and a few friends stayed over at Inn in Highlands when our friends got married on a farm nearby. The service from Nicky was fantastic. Easy to book, the website is very informative. The cottages are stunning, clean and very comfortable. Duck down duvets and pillows. Added bonus of the most amazing views. I would highly recommend staying here. Cellphone signal is intermittent (in case you need to be in contact).
If you're heading to Grabouw to explore the surrounding area and what it has to offer, try Inn On Highlands. The self-catering cottages have everything you need to make your stay comfortable, whether you want to stay for one night or more. There are also a couple of wine farms close by which gives the wine lover in you a chance to try those places that you never get around to.
