Wondo Genet is well-worth a visit, especially if you like wildlife. The hotel has beautiful gardens, teeming with birdlife. If you want to do some intensive birding in the surrounding forest, look out for bird guides who might be hanging around by the hotel entrance....More

Lovely shady gardens full of bird life and monkeys but very ordinary rooms in need of some upgrading and the most bizarre dining and bar area building which is pretty grim. Western food uninteresting but local injera dishes excellent.

This hotel is in lovely grounds, with masses of birds, and two types of monkey roaming around. But the accommodation is basic and rather tired. A comfortable bed, and plenty of hot water, though. Their prices for an extra teabag (£3) and a packed lunch...More

The bathrooms weren't very clean (for anyone in our group) & mgmt wasn't responsive when people asked to have them cleaned. However the grounds were gorgeous - trees in bloom, lots of birds and monkeys. The restaurant was really oddly shaped, but had a rooftop...More
