Wow! This place is beautiful. The beach lodges are fabulous, comfy bed, powerful shower, beach location & friendly staff 😁. We had Cairnwood Premier number 19, with a hot tub - and we could see the sea too! Beautiful walk to Ilfracombe harbour - steep climb but oh so worth it ! Would love to come again. Stunning !

Great place to go for couples, had a lovely week, would go again in a heart beat. Accomodation excellent with wonderful views of the bay, perfect for a holiday and would recommend anyone going for week or couple of days.

We took our little dog 🐶 and boy did she and us enjoy it. Absolutely loved this holiday. The weather was very kind and we managed to visit lots of the local area, beaches and villages. The lodge was ideally situated overlooking the bay Hele Bay. The ever changing view of the sea from our windows and stunning hot tub were magical. Beach Cove is a little gem. Cozy beach hut lodges with everything you need. Beach Cove is so pretty with little manicured gardens around your lodge. The staff are so friendly and helpful suggesting places for us to visit. Thank you so much 😊. Places to visit we loved were: Lynmouth for the cliff railway. The views at the top were amazing! Woolacombe beach, Cream tea at Watermouth harbour cafe, Valley of the rocks, Woodys railway for a steam train ride. Hele Bay pub for an evening meal and Heles kitchen for a lovely takeaway. So many beautiful places all within a short distance away to see. We would definitely return.♥️♥️…

Had the best holiday ever. After being in and out of hospital all year this is just what I needed. We stayed in number 2. Have never been anywhere like it. Waking up and going to sleep to the sound of the waves was delightful. It was great to relax in the hot tub watching the sun set over the sea. The accommodation had everything we needed. A comfy sofa, the bed was heaven to sleep on, everything you need in a kitchen. The site was very clean. Well done to all who work there. A very short stroll to the beach where there was a lovely cafe and ice creams. The cove was very pretty and clean. We adventured up the steps of the hill. Well worth doing as the view from the top was remarkable although it was very steep. We will definitely be returning. Didn't want to leave.

Either 8 or 4 years ago, we saw this accommodation right by the sea front and at the time, this was above budget for us. But currently we are doing OK and was able to book 4 nights here last week. We were very impressed with our welcome and accommodation. The hot tub is a great luxury. Right next to a lovely bay with good amenities. Our lodge was not quite a Seaview but overall impressed. To get 5 stars, I would have liked a more comfortable sofa and a bigger bathroom. Cheers.

If you consider coming to stay with us here again may I suggest that you try one of our apartments which have a lot more space and much larger bathroom with both bath and shower. The Suite apartment even has a bath in the bedroom too! I loved our holiday here at Beach Cove Costal Resort. Hele Bay is a wonderful location, a lovely hill walk to Ilfracombe, paddle boarding and kayaking hire on the beach, and easy to locate. We booked wrinklewood, unknowing that there is more than one Wrinklewood lodge located on this site. I’m aware it states “typical Wrinklewood” on the photos but the standards should be the same throughout. We were unfortunate to have been allocated the lodge with very limited balcony view (far different to what is pictured in the advertisement), and our bedroom windows facing the car parking for the apartments and the main walkway. Our chairs and tables outdoors were tucked in a very small corner, with no beach view, and very difficult to use. The hot tub also behind a stained glass, blocking the view of the beach. The lodge directly next door, also called Wrinklewood, looked amazing. Bigger decking area, loving seating area looking into the beach, and a gorgeous full view of the beach from the hot tub. Unknowing of how many “Wrinklewood” lodges there are on site, we were quite disappointed with ours however, we enjoyed the surfing in Woolacombe and the Paddleboarding in Hele. Just unfortunate we could not relax outside our lodge in an evening with the view we had seen advertised …

Stayed Mon-Fri in 'The Pad' which is a ground floor apartment. The location is fantastic with plenty of surrounding amenities. It's a 30 min walk into Ilfracombe but be warned, VERY steep, however incredibly scenic if taking the coastal path. The apartment is a lot bigger than depicted in photographs with everything you need. Lovely views from the living room over Hele Bay. Hot tub very well maintained in the private courtyard. The apartment itself could use a deep clean and a facelift as tired and worn in places but otherwise a very comfortable stay.

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay here with us at Beach Cove and was pleasantly surprised at how large "The Pad" apartment is. You also seemed to make the most of the surrounding area and are glad that you found it to be as scenic as we do. We are very sorry to hear that you were a little disappointed with the apartment, we do wish you had reported it during your stay as we would have done everything we can to make your stay more comfortable. At this busy time of year we do our best to check all of the accommodation on check out day and rectify anything we feel requires attention before new guests arrive, of course during the winter months we have the chance to give all of our accommodations some TLC. We do take your comments very seriously and always encourage guests to report anything to reception no matter how small so it can be rectified whilst you are still with us. Very tired and worn, tatty and old furniture, certainly not 'the last word in luxury' as advertised; It needs a good revamp and upgrade. Toilet and shower a tight squeeze, and windows very grubby. From early morning untill evening the cove is full of dog walkers with constant barking dogs. Bbq smoke under our hut (12) every day which filled our hut with smoke. The pub near by is very dirty and grubby and food was awful, cheap and greasy, not nice. Im not sure if this may be an effect of covid but it all felt very run down. I would rate the site as 3*, quite basic. I booked the stay for our 1st anniversary as it was described as beyond luxury, it is far from that, very dissapointed, we left a day early as it was so awful. Please be aware that although the cove is pretty, the huts and surrounding facillaties are very run down. …

Had a lovely 5 day holiday at Beach Cove. Very reasonably priced considering you’re so close to the beach. We booked the Wrinklewood Premier sea view which comes with a hot tub. These lodges appeared a little bit bigger than the other lodges positioned behind. We stayed in lodge 1, which has pros and cons. Pro - no one on the left hand side of you as you’re on the end, so no neighbours. Con - frosted glass around deck and hot tub obscured view of the sea when sat down. There’s also a roof to a building beside you, which isn’t the best view but it wasn’t hideous. Be lovely if they perhaps looked into laying a super light weight living green roof on top, would have a much nicer view. Otherwise, if you stand up, you have beautiful views of the sea and the mountains. Other points: The shower was amazing! Much more powerful than I have at home! Toilet was however a very tight squeeze to access as its right behind the door. There’s a cafe next door which serves ice cream, food and drinks. There’s also a pub a few minutes walk which serves your typical pub food, but it was perfect for our first night stay. Hele corn mill and tea room is also a few minutes walk away. They serve THE best scones and tea cakes. Ilfracombe harbour was quite a walk, so we chose to drive. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes to choose from. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and will certainly be returning again. We’ll be bringing along our inflatable paddle boards next time. Tip: Book the Wrinklewood Premier Seaview for lodges on the beach front. I’d recommend lodges 2-4 as lodge 1 has frosted glass which obscures sea views when sat down from the deck/ hot tub area…

Booked for hubby and I for a week in July 2023 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. What a amazing find as idyllic place with stunning views of the cove and out to sea. The lodge - cairnwood premier are small but perfectly equipped for the two of us. Caroline and Richard at the site made us so welcome and provided us with plenty of information about the site and surrounding area. Our lodge had a hot tub which was lovely to use with sea views. Plenty of eatery’s around and Ilfracombe has everything you require from boat trips to kayak lessons to home made fudge etc. Perfect chilling place to unwind and the views .
