Not trying to discourage others from staying here but just realize what you're getting. Family of 3 stayed in a family suite on top floor. Stairs up a few flights, low ceilings in the rooms resulted in several head dings. Very hot night, no a/c and main windows painted shut. Was able to get one small fan. Two twin beds were old and very uncomfortable. Bathroom quite small but adequate. Limited staff that seemed to cover everything - reception and dinning.
I recently spent two nights at the McInnes House Hotel travelling through Scotland with an Intrepid tour group of 12. Robert (owner and great chef!) and the rest of the staff were kind, friendly, and accommodating. Room was clean, roomy, and bright, and bed was cozy and comfy.
My Sister in law and I had a wonderful meal last Sunday. We both had the tasty Sunday roast beef with all the trimmings followed by a sweet each. Every bit of the meal was really really Good!!! Our wee waitress was very friendly and very professional. A beautiful meal in gorgeous surroundings with friendly staff. What more do you need. Thank you all.x

We stayed for one night in this beautiful gem of a hotel. We were greeted warmly, and promptly given our room key. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed linen smelt amazingly fresh and very clean, the spotless bathroom had underfloor heating, just perfect. We went to the well stocked bar for a couple of drinks before dinner. Dinner itself was amazing, the chef is very good. I had scampi, my friend had seabass and both meals were cooked to perfection. But the pudding was simply out of this world! I head the best lemon and orange pudding I've ever tasted, and my friend's sticky toffee pudding was equally delicious. The staff and management were very helpful, friendly and attentive. This hotel deserves a full five stars, what a gem, I can highly recommend.
We booked to stop halfway on our journey to Fife…for Sunday lunch….everything was great! Fantastic Sunday roast, gluten free Yorkshire pudding was a first! The steak pie was one of the best my friend ever tasted… GF sticky toffee pudding was fantastic! The gf passion fruit cheesecake was delicious! The staff were lovely…the building is beautiful….a garden to sit in if it’s nice…all in all we had a lovely time with great food and excellent service 🙏🏻❤️
After 6 hours on the hills we turned up here to be created with a fantastic beer garden. The sun was out so we managed to enjoy a few beers in the sunshine and fabulous food later that evening. The room was very comfortable.staff lovely and friendly. Would recommend.
We enjoyed our stay very much! The Service was always as best as it could be, the room was cosy and clean and the food lovely scotish. Nearby is also everything you need and great for any outdoor activity. We will come back 😀
Beautiful Easter Sunday roast in lovely surroundings with friendly efficient staff. Food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly.
Booked the hotel for a long weekend trip to celebrate my sisters 60th birthday (they arranged balloons, table decorations and even a cheese board bithday cake 😅). The booking process was easy, with opportunity to book a table in restaurant if wanted (which we did each night). We booked a triple bed family room, so much space, did not feel enclosed and the private bathroom with full size bath/shower was great. Room is beautifully decorated and additional heater due to being there early season, did not feel cold at all. Nice bar area and restaurant food was lovely, with large portions, including great porridge at breakfast which kept us going all day. Our hosts are so friendly who have extensive local knowledge of walks and areas of interest, without them we would of missed seeing the dolphins. I consider the hotel to be great value, perfect location for Cairngorm and highland area, would definitely book again.…
