Myself and my boyfriend had the most amazing stay at the Ivybank. Such a relaxing atmosphere and extremely comfy beds. The decor is stunning and Nigel and Gary are always so accommodating when we stay with them. Delicious breakfast which was cooked to perfection and all freshly made. Couldn’t recommend this gem of a place enough, already planning our next stay.

Gary and Nigel know the word hospitality. My partner and I came up from Edinburgh for 2 nights getaway and were in complete awe of this place from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Attention to detail was exceptional. Decor was the perfect mix of modern and contemporary. To call the bed comfy would be the understatement of the century. The beautiful food Nigel cooked matched with Gary's professional and attentive service made dining better than most 5 star restaurants. Be surprised with so many little extras here at this stunning BnB. The best accomodation and service I have ever received. Gentlemen, we will be back and cannot wait! You both have done a superb job

So on arrival to the Ivybank Lodge i had no idea what to expect, as soon as me and my partner Kelly parked our car in the on-site car park, and walked through the door we were greeted warmly by our hosts for the 2 nights, Gary and Nigel. The place was all we had hoped for and more, the decor was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and their hospitality from the get to was more than we could have hoped for. They just couldn't do enough to make us feel relaxed and allow us to unwind. I would recommend here to anyone looking for a getaway, and i will be back one day soon for another stay. Thanks again to Gary and Nigel for everything they did, and everything the place is, they have put their heart and soul into it and it shines through in abundance. At the beginning of the journey I had no idea where my fiancé was taking me … but OMG when we arrived at Ivybank Lodge I was not disappointed!!! Ivybank Lodge is a must visit if you want to escape city life & just relax in a little slice of heavenly luxury. It has been lovingly restored & had life injected into it , this is been done keeping with the traditional style with a few modern touches. The decor is stunning & the fine detail is to be applauded - I was wowed!!! Our room was a little bit of luxury , spacious , extremely clean & the decor again was amazing. The bed was huge , comfy & I had the best nights sleep!!! It was high , thankfully there was a chaise lounge at the foot of the bed to help me up 😂 I’m a little shorty! Every detail had been thought of… a dressing table next to plugs , robes , slippers , selection of coffees & teas with a lovely little coffee machine , various glass styles & cup sizes. The bathroom was also spacious , bright & the shower was so refreshing in the morning. The toiletries provided were from Arran Aromatics , just lovely & the towels were soft & fluffy - each item was embellished with the Ivybank Lodge logo , this was a very nice touch. Our breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with 5 tables - well spaced for social distancing. The breakfast itself was perfectly cooked , delicious & really set us up for the day. Gary & Nigel are just lovely & clearly love what they do & have achieved. The fine detail throughout is fabulous. It had been mentioned we were there for my birthday celebration , I was very kindly given a little gift bag on departure which had a gorgeous scented candle - lovely touch & very much appreciated. We cannot wait to have some more free time to book for another visit - next time we will go for more than one night!!!

This was a birthday surprise for my fiancée. I stumbled upon the Ivybank lodge and thank god I did. Gary and Nigel are superior hosts & extremely friendly & welcoming. Every attention to detail is well observed. The welcome to our room was absolutely fantastic. The room a superior king , unbelievable. Spacious and very well thought out with a good eye for design. Very clean too. The whole building has been very well renovated and we can’t wait to go back. Breakfast area was extremely clean. Breakfast itself was fantastic. Great ambiance throughout. I mentioned it was my fiancées birthday and Gary and Nigel handed my fiancée a gift on departure. What a great gesture. And she loves the gift. 😀 Do not hesitate in booking this , just get it booked. You won’t be disappointed. 5 star ⭐️ And above. John and karen.
