We booked a weekend away for my birthday, expecting a nice holiday place.

(As this person also explained is this review attached.)

The up keeping of this place is very poor.
Toilet still not working and DSTV was also broken. We decided to leave. And have to fight to get any money back.

Think twice before booking into this place!!

This place has false advertising!!! Great pictures and reviews but me and my family booked the kudu and impala room for the 30th to the 3rd, many things was not as promising as the advertising. As we lost R3000 after leaving this dirty place we feel that they are not worthy of their promising adverts and reviews.
In both room non of the fans or the aircon was working. The fridges was smelly, sticky and have not been cleaned for our arrival. The floors was dirty, there was dstv but unfortunately there was no tv and the lights was berly working. The bathrooms was broken and one of the toilets was our of order. There was no toilet paper or towles. We could understand the low quality if we had made the booking at the day of arrival but the booking was made 4 months ago and this place havent done anything to prepare for our arrival. A guy was running around to put out tabels and chairs when we arrived and the backyard was the dumpster place.. who wants to sit in garbage on their hollyday and use a fridge with bugs in it? We paid in total R7700 and decided to leave and got R4235 back this place is not as it seems.

The lodge was exactly what we needed after being busy with financials in the department. The lodge is just perfect because it make you forget the buzzing life of Pretoria. The environment was just perfect. We had the best team building session ever and I would like to go back there with my family as I enjoyed every minute. And to top that the service was just priceless.

We stayed with the whole family for a week at St Hubertus. What a relief, peace, friendship, and above all untouched NATURE. This fantastic place, probably set up in the late 60's as Hasslers Game Farm,By Paul en Charlotte Hassler. St Hubertus,is no longer a Game farm, but an oasis at 20 minutes drive from Hartebeespoortdam.10 minutes from Lion Park, and also close to Bill Harrop's "Original" Balloon Safaris.25 min. From Van Gaalen Cheese factory, Zip line @ Hollybrooke Farm with horse riding trails to swimming with horses, or quad biking and paint ball,In short, every day we had more than enough choice for a new adventure.St Hubertus Lodge also offers game drive (do not forget your camera) and even a beautiful walking tour, + / - 4 hours, which we did with our children aged 8 and 11 years old. Deon, the owner knows what he is doing and we learned so much from nature on this wonderful trip.
