Keith & Christine were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome from minute one. The rooms are really comfortable and equipped with everything you could need with great attention to detail. After long days at the Festival we got up to a fantastic breakfast and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Hotel's Favourite
After reviewing tripadvisor we decided to choose Swiss Cottage for our Isle of Wight staycation. We booked directly via the hotel this enabled us to get the best rates and to get a discount on our ferry. We arrived early and were met by Christine, we had a really warm welcome, she quickly ran through everything we needed to know for our 5 day stay., this included all of the amenities, including the dining room and bar, plus how everything worked in our room. As we are in the midst of all of the COVID guidelines we also understood the expectations, we felt safe and ensured all guidelines were met. We were able to park our car directly outside, even though there were quite a few guests with cars we were always able to park. We were located in Room 2 on the ground floor, it had everything we needed for our stay, the room was clean and comfortable, it had a en-suite bathroom with a large shower, everything worked and we had no issues during our stay. It had great wiif connectivity, our tea tray was refilled everyday. Breakfasts were amazing, there was a wide choice of items, usually we had cereal, followed by a full English breakfast with as much tea and toast as you required, you had to complete a simple breakfast order form everyday to order the following days breakfast, it gave us the choice to try everything, apart from the kippers. As part of the service, we got to know both Keith and Christine a lot better, you were made to feel really welcome. They always showed an interest in what we had planned for the day and where we planned to eat our evening meal, their knowledge was really appreciated. When we left for our days out we always had their advice on how to get the best out of what the Isle of Wight had to offer. We tried Thai Mukda , the Indian Spice room and Pavarotti’s, all restaurants were superb. Thanks to Keith and Christine for their hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant

Room Tip: I would always advise booking directly via the hotel. Don’t travel back on a Friday, the ferry...

To Dear John & Angela Thankyou for a most comprehensive & honest & fantastic review on your stay. We hope that everyone else reads it on TripAdvisor and books with us this year. In saying that we only have very limited rooms left, as this year everyone wants to have a UK Staycation! See you again, so you can see more of the Island. Kindest Regards & Keep Safe Keith & Chris & the animals! xx

We booked directly via the hotel this gave us to get the best rates and a discount on the ferry. Swiss Cottage is clean, quiet and comfortable, and within a few minutes walk of Shanklin high street and the beach, perfect location. You had a good choice at breakfast setting you up for the day and it was lovely talking to the other guests and planning our days.
