Stayed for one night over Bank Holiday weekend in room 2 which is a mezzanine room. The room was spotlessly clean, bed very comfy, plenty of tea & coffee plus hot chocolate, biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. Had an amazing nights sleep, so peaceful. A light grab and go breakfast was provided, plus there are some top up extras in the horse box. Check in/out was via self checkout and was contact free, we received a text to let us know our room was ready and which room we were in. There was a handmade guide in the room about the local area, very useful and a lot of effort had gone into this We stayed here to visit Beamish, it was the perfect location and will be back again, hopefully near Christmas time to see Beamish at Christmas.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Unfortunately due to track and trace we had to rearrange our intended date. The hotel were completely fine with this and were friendly and quick to respond. The hotel is in a beautiful spot, super easy to find and massive amounts of parking. Really clean and tidy rooms, nice grab bag breakfast and everything you could need in the room from towels to toiletries. Great value for money and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We stayed here for the weekend after seeing it on TV. and we’re not disappointed. The rooms are lovely - we loved the mezzanine floor where the bedroom was. The room was beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained. Outside the room was a courtyard with seating. So much effort had been for the information pack which included handwritten maps and information about the local area. We will visit again in the future. When we arrived back home my husband received a text to say his watch was left in the room and they would post it to him - we didn’t even realise he left it and we are grateful for the honesty.

Fabulous place to stay,. Lovely warm welcome by Neil, as soon as we arrived. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection by Emily. Can't fault any part of our stay at all. We will definitely be back. 🙂

Nice, quiet comfortable spot to stay. It’s off the beaten path, but very accessible to downtown, shops, restaurants and roadways. Nice rooms with comfortable beds, brand new bathrooms, sitting area, and we loved the towel warmers! Price came with a wonderful selection of hot breakfast. The owners were wonderful - very welcoming and friendly. We would come back again! Just a note to anyone elderly or handicapped, select a room to accommodate as many of the rooms have stairs to an upper loft where the sleeping area is.
