Perfect location hidden away with excellent efficient staff and lovely spacious rooms ! From the moment we steeped foot in the hotel we received a warm welcome from the gentleman who was front of house and then breakfast the next morning we were greeted by Christine who was so happy and smiley and clearly wanted to make sure we had the very best stay possible . The hotel has 18 rooms which gives it a very relaxed , homely feel. We didn’t eat at the hotel but when we returned in the evening we enjoyed relaxing on the lounge/bar area with other guests . Thank you it was a fabulous stay and have already recommended to friends and a big thank you to Christine who is a credit to the hotel

First time visit to Eslington Villa and a discovery that it absolutely deserves the great reviews that it has. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and attractive room and to top that off really tasty well presented food made with quality ingredients treated with respect. What more is there to say except that I am sorry that we don't need to stay in Gateshead very often but when we do there will be no hesitation to book Eslington Villa.

We got married at Eslington Villa on Saturday just gone..almost a week already and I miss The Villa and every single member of staff, who are just the most amazing people who just naturally become part of your friends and family, amazing feeling. July was our 4th date trying to get married and they were with us all the way, nothing was a bother and it was worth the wait..it was just the most amazing, chilled, funny, relaxed, beautiful wedding of our dreams, this is down to The Villa and everyone person in the room. Every single one of our family and friends commented on home beautiful and relaxed The Villa was and how they were made to feel, some people didn’t even know it was there, but every single person will be going back..one even wants to decorate his house the same way..ha..if your thinking of getting married..please have a look..when you step through the door you just instantly think ‘home’ and you need that..if you do get married their..can I come..haha..I’ll pay for myself!..or if not for a wedding..go for the food..my word it’s stunning, from the breakfast to the three course meal! Unbelievable! Again every one of our family and friends said it was unreal..some are still talking about it now!! Give it a whirl..you’ll walk out with the biggest smile on your face, as all my family and friends did 😀..THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH..see you VERY soon x

During our stay with our nephew and his wife in Birtley the four of us came for an evening meal. The welcome was genuine and there was a pleasing mix of professionalism and informality from start to finish. We were invited to sit at a table, have pre-dinner drinks and peruse the menu prior to ordering. We had the 3-course menu which was very reasonably priced and there was enough choice for the four of us. We were very impressed with the wine list and were pleased with the Cotes du Rhone. It was pleasing to note that all the wines were sensibly priced. Thanks and well done to the staff for helping to make our evening so pleasant.
