We had a great 2 night stay at The Bridge House. Kevin and Kathryn have done a great job establishing a welcoming and tastefully decorated property, in a perfect location for exploring Ross and the surrounding Wye valley. Was great to be able to take our dog too (£15 per night), who settled in quickly and felt he owned the place.

Our room, room 4, whilst at the front of the property alongside the main road, was triple glazed to keep road noise out. It had a comfy 4 poster bed, with high quality cotton bedding. The shower room had the best shower - tons of hot water with lots of pressure, just what’s needed after a very wet walk (sadly can’t control the British weather).

The gardens surrounding the property are beautiful. We spent our first afternoon sat having a drink in the sunshine looking across the river and towards the town. Very relaxing!

Breakfast is the main event in our opinion. Freshly cooked to order (form dropped off the evening before), the fresh fruit, the granola, the plentiful supply of toast, and delicious full cooked breakfast was first class. It set us up perfectly for exploring what the area has to offer.

Just spent 3 days staying at The Bridgehouse Hotel and what a delight it was. A beautiful hotel with the River Wye at the bottom of its lovely grounds . The stunning views kept us captivated each evening , of course the beautiful weather helped with that too .Kevin & Kathryn were the perfect hosts and very helpful about places to visit while we were there. The breakfasts , served in a lovely room where guests were seemed to be rotated so that everyone had a lovely view of the garden at some time. The food served at breakfast was gorgeous and presented in a very attractive way. You put your order in the evening before with the time that you wanted and that seemed to work very well. We couldn't fault anything we had.
Although food is not available at any other time Kathyn very kindly made us a lovely sharing platter one evening , which we ordered at breakfast and we ate in the garden, very very nice.
There is a lounge to sit in with a Honestly Bar , which was lovely if you wanted to have a drink in the evenings out in the beautiful garden.
The Room we stayed in at The Bridge house was very well presented and lovely and clean as was the ensuite Bathroom, The room was equipped with everything you needed even tea & coffee making facilities which was very handy . Everything was spotless , the Towels were fluffy & white , toiletries were there and a very nice shower, it was excellent we couldn't have asked for more .
We could not fault our stay and it was so nice we have booked to go back in August for a few more days . Thank you so much Kathryn & Kevin we needed a break and you certainly made it a good one . Looking forward to seeing you again .

Best Wishes
Rosie & Dave Wickens

We were three family couples with dogs booking a two night break to visit Ross on Wye. The Bridge House Hotel could not have been more helpful in every regard. Two couples shared the top floor in rooms 7 and 9 with a shared lounge in between where we could all relax with the dogs. The third couple were in another lovely room on the first floor. The conservatory was set specially for breakfast for us as a dog friendly space so that we (and other guests !) had separate areas. Breakfast was a joy with a fabulous choice , beautifully prepared and presented and nothing too much trouble for our hosts. The hotel was spotless and full of lovely touches such as the honesty bars in the lounge areas . More than ample parking around the back of the hotel and a large lawn leading to other walks for the dogs to wander. The garden at the side of the hotel led down to the river and from there a short walk into Ross on Wye. .All in all.....faultless and we would all recommend The Bridge House to anyone wanting to stay in a wonderful hotel in the perfect location on the river Wye.

Just back from a few days at the Bridge House. Interior design is not my specialist subject but I would say it’s country chic and the building, grounds and rooms have been recently renovated and are very well kept. The house and garden backs onto the river and commands a lovely view. Breakfast choices are wide and delicious. There is a comfortable lounge with a well stocked self service honesty bar - perfect for a drink (or maybe more than one) before dinner. Ross on Wye town is a pleasant stroll over the bridge and there are pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance or a short taxi ride away. The area is ideal for hiking and Welsh hills are within easy reach too. Finally, the owners Kevin and Kathryn are extremely welcoming and personable and happy to help with anything required.

A real gem. Right on the river banks a very pretty B&B with a lovely garden.
We really loved everything about this place, the rooms were very nicely furnished with very comfortable beds and the shower was amazing.
We had a lovely view over the river Wye so watching the canoes & wild life in the morning over our first cup of tea was very relaxing.
Breakfast was a pleasure. The Greek yogurt with my fruit was the creamiest I've ever tasted.
Kevin & Kathryn were very welcoming and made us feel totally at home.
The honesty bar was very well stocked with some very nice wines and a good selection of beers and spirits. It was so peaceful. Sitting in the lounge once we got in after dinner with a glass of wine .
We will definitely stay there again.

We have been coming to The Bridge House since 2018 when we booked all the rooms for our wedding weekend. From our very first interaction Kevin and Kathryn have been the perfect hosts.

The rooms are stylishly decorated and welcoming, the breakfasts are diverse and exceptional, and the views of the Wye and Ross are worth coming back for time and again.

We’re lucky enough to visit once every couple of months and would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area - it’s special every time!

Bridge House is a beautiful building right beside the River Wye and just outside of Ross.
We stayed in Room 2 which was beautiful, and had a lovely view if the river. The bed was super comfy, the shower was a delight and there is everything you need for a pleasant stay.
The owners are so lovely and knowledgeable of the local area, they were happy to cater for every need and make recommendations of places to eat and visit.
The breakfast was delicious (home made hash browns!!) And the grounds and local area are perfect for a short break.
I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning!

Katherine and Kevin were perfect hosts. We arrived soaking wet off a motorbike and they helped us dry all our clothes in a warm boiler room and gave us a towel to put our wet panniers on. They also recommended Orles Barn, which was a fabulous restaurant within walking distance. The room was luxurious with a wonderful view of Ross and the river. We stayed in 19 different places over the last 3 weeks and their shower was by far the best! The breakfast was delicious too. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We have recently stayed in this beautiful hotel for 4 days in this beautiful part of the country. The hotel has a lovely homely feel to it with log fires, books and games to borrow and an honesty bar. The rooms are fabulously spacious with all the mod cons whilst maintaining an air of times gone by. Katherine and Kevin are so accommodating and very friendly; nothing being too much trouble. They know the area well and had some good advice on how to spend our days. We had a dog with us who was equally welcomed. I have to mention breakfast which was the best breakfasts we've had in a small, independent hotel. It was fresh and locally sourced and absolutely delicious! Any requests were willingly met. We also asked for an afternoon tea on one day. The scones and cakes were freshly baked and served in the conservatory which has stunning views across the river and Ross. What a fabulous stay. Huge thanks to Kevin and Katherine; it has been an absolute pleasure to stay with you and we will certainly look to return sometime.

I like to think I'm pretty good at finding great places to stay, and my initial contact with Kevin back in Feb (really friendly chat and a bespoke booking confirmation email) suggested I had discovered a winner. We stayed at the Bridge House as a group of 2 couples and one dog in a sweltering heatwave and we thought it was fantastic. Kevin and Kathryn have created a relaxed, stylish, high quality experience for their guests: the rooms (and most importantly pillows) were sooo comfortable, rain showers heavenly, and the breakfast was locally sourced and consistently delicious. The view over Ross on Wye is a bit of a "wow" and we loved sitting out in the beautiful gardens in the evening or playing cards (provided) in the lounge, making full use of the honesty bar - a lovely touch. Highly recommended, thank you to Kevin, Kathryn and their team for a great stay..and for the Super Moon you laid on for us to watch from the garden sofas on our last night ❤️❤️🥂
