Having enjoyed our second four day visit in twelve months we have no hesitation in recommending Brookfield House.A warm welcome, homemade cake and pot of tea on arrival made you feel like old friends.Kaye and Robins friendliness and banter compliments the high standards of professionalism. Our room and king sized bed were both very comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. We were encouraged to make full use of the lounge which made us feel very much at home. The generous breakfast (including fresh fruit salad) certainly set us for the day.Their advice on local attractions and places to eat proved very helpful and was freely given.Being a short stroll to the town made it an ideal location. If B & Bs were cars this one would be a Rolls Royce.

Just returned home from a 3 day stay. Everything was perfect from the first minute we arrived. The accomodation speaks for itself, probably the best we've ever stayed at and both Kaye and Robin were fantastic hosts. They certainly went the extra mile to help make our stay so enjoyable. It's already been said by others in their reviews but they really are a lovely genuine couple who made us feel very welcome. Having the use of the guest lounge where we were encouraged to sit and have tea with delicious home made cake in the afternoons as if it was our own home was a bonus. Highly recommended and definitely great value for money. We'll be back!

We had a really pleasant two days at this excellent B&B. Ample parking and easy to find, we were given a great and unexpected welcome with tea and delicious home made cake. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed and chairs, and an ample en-suite shower room. Everything was spotlessly clean. As well as the room itself there is a nicely furnished guest lounge. The free WiFi in the room is patchy - it's an old house with thick walls which doesn't always help - but is fine in the lounge and breakfast room. Breakfasts were good and ample, and were served with a friendly chat. We were pleased that fresh milk is made available for tea or coffee in your room, and that even though our hosts were out when we returned on the second afternoon, cake had been left out in a tin for us to have with our tea. In terms of location it is good - in a quiet area just on the edge of Ross-on-Wye town centre, with the Market Hall only 10 minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend.

Back for another visit to our now favourite B&B. The room is as gorgeous as I had remembered with ultra comfy king size bed. Kaye and Robin are as welcoming as ever and Kaye is still making the best fruit salad as part of the delicious breakfast. Nearly time to leave again but I will definitely be back!

I stay at Brookfield House several times a year on business, friendly hosts, good location and a very good breakfast for a reasonable price. Colleagues of mine now use this and all have had similar good experiences.
There's a fair few restaurants to chose from, all within a 15 minute walk, a few good pubs too.

Great pre-arrival, telephone enquiry, took deposit - smooth as can be. Arrival - lovely welcome; friendly, interested; but not intrusive - tea and home-made cake supplied - just the ticket. Rooms clean, comfortable and with some views of the area - it is located on the edge of the town centre - so there is some bustle and industry in view. Hosts explained all the amenities and offered helpful suggestions regards feeding - my daughter is vegan. Hosts provided some interesting insights into town life. Fantastic breakfast experience - all so fresh, tasty and nutritious - one of the best "full english" I've had in many a year. I have to say - a real gem. Hopefully we can get back down there later this year.

What a lovely B & B and Kaye and Robin are delightful hosts. The room (3) was very spacious and clean and had everything you could need for a couple of days away. Brookfield House is just up the hill from the town (less than 5 minutes walk) which has lots of shops, cafes and places to eat and drink in the evening. Particularly enjoyed Yaks and Yetis. The breakfasts were filling, fresh and served with good humour which Robin has the right balance of - friendly and there when needed but not intrusive.
The garden is a lovely place to sit in the evening/after breakfast and we fell in love with the nutty young boxer Ronnie!
A central location for visiting Symonds Yat; Monmouth; Goodrich Castle (would highly recommend) and other places in the Forest of Dean.
Will we visit again ? ABSOLUTLEY !!!
Thanks Robin and Kaye and hope to see you again soon (oh and Ronnie!)

Our stay was perfect, family gathering for wedding, nothing was too much trouble, in fact most of our needs were already anticipated, including tea & home made cake on arrival, and ironing board on morning of wedding. Thank you for an unintrusive but caring stay, almost like home to home. Captured our true spirit, and will highly recommend. Brookfield House is slightly out of Ross on Wye town centre, but within easy walking distance. A perfect choice for those who want to experience the town but don't want the late night noise of a town centre location. Accomodation was ideal for 3 x double rooms, all of which were large and had everything you could wish for. Robin & Kaye are excellent hosts.. and I haven't even mentioned the breakfasts yet. Go on and book this accomodation & enjoy a real experience!

A delightful establishment where a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. You are sure to have a nice breakfast sourced from local produce where possible, before you set off on the days journey perhaps to enjoy the wonderful views that surround Ross-on-Wye.

Robin and Kaye have been able to capture that "home from home" feeling providing clean spacious rooms and a comfortable bed where one can feel at ease...in essence the true quality of a good B&B.
