We have just returned home from the hotel having stayed Saturday and Sunday night. Our last visit left us rather lacking and we returned not knowing if things had improved since October 2018. Well how much of a pleasant surprise our stay was.......... The room was well worth

Nice hotel, nice restaurant but very hot and not as quiet as I had hoped. Even with the radiator turned off the room was unbelievably hot. The walls between the rooms must be very thin as I had to ask the guests in the next room to lower their voices as I could hear every

A lovely 3 nights away walking the hillsides and cliffs overlooking the Salcombe estuary. Our accommodation was dog friendly with an attractive view. Wonderful pool and spa which we took advantage of before changing for dinner. In our room there were decanters - one gin and

We booked this hotel last minute to take a winter break. We had a very good deal due to it being winter. Our first 12 hours in the hotel were in some ways disappointing with some staff less than enthusiastic to serve us. We pointed out our feelings to the manager and things

Dear Mike D Thank you for your message, I do understand your concerns. It is always very difficult with review sites as at times there can be a focus on the negative but in actual fact the direct feedback to the hotel is excellent and whilst at times we have made mistakes, this is certainly not our usual standards. I do need to make you aware that we have weddings taking place in the hotel on both Saturday and Sunday this week, and whilst they shouldn’t have any impact on your stay at all we believe it only fair to highlight this for you (as you have only just booked you are unlikely to receive a pre-arrival call). If we can be of any further assistance please don’t hesitate to contact us directly on 01548 844444 Best wishes Jason

Dear JaneP There is indeed parking availability for all hotel guests, when you arrive just drive down to the front of the hotel and we will take care of the car and valet park it for you. We look forward to welcoming you. Best wishes Jason

I'd perhaps consider somewhere other than Salcombe if walking is an issue as it is not the most level area. The parking in the town is very, very limited due to the narrow street - there is a small, short-stay car park at Whitestrand but that is the only car park actually in the town. The other option is the long-stay at Shadycombe but you then have to walk in to town. The Salcombe Harbour Hotel has some parking but I don't know how they allocate this so best to check with them. To walk from the hotel into town is only a few hundred yards but it is not a level walk and there is no pavement for most of it. I don't know the degree of mobility your parents have but if either of them are wheelchair users Salcombe may not be the easiest place to navigate. Hopefully other people will also provide you with some responses. Have you thought about calling Salcombe Tourist Info Centre as the staff in there will give you some unbiased advice on accessibility? Have you considered Dartmouth which is a much flatter, more accessible town and has a lovely hotel on the waterside?
