Under the circumstances they did really well, they have just come out of Covid and are going through a revamp but any request I had was actioned. The spa was lovely too but the 3 day stay was enough. It wasn't spotless but it was clean in the areas that mattered. The food was okay, breakfast was lovely. The staff are lovely although a few seemed lost as if it wasn't their usual surroundings. Drinks were a bit pricey but like I say they did their best and I thank you. I am sure when the world is back to it's normal self it will be lovely.
Booked an overnight stay during bank holiday weekend. Got there early so room wasnt quite ready but went for lunch in the restaurant. Took ages to be served even though it was practically empty. Only ordered soup but was very slow. Staff were pleasant enough though. As this is a dog friendly establishment, there were many dogs onsite. Room was clean and comfortable with good quality sheets. Bathroom sink was blocked and took long to empty. Wouldve welcomed a fridge in room but Sainsburys just around the corner (on foot). Carpets in hallway needed vaccuming. Fitness area was basic and a bit drab, pool area was ok but showers were recommended and the ones poolside did not work. It was quite busy so not easy to distance. Back in restaurant for dinner (included), enjoyed the food, service was much better but a few mishaps with order (uncertainty about dairy free options and wrong dessert brought). There was no dessert option for non dairy/soya eaters. Staff were apologetic and attentive. In the room next to ours, a couple had brought their dog and then decided to go offsite for dinner leaving their dog alone who barked non stop until we notified reception who had to remove the dog! Dont bring your dog out and then leave it in a strange place alone! Thankfully, the reception staff sorted this straight away. Had a comfortable sleep. Spa treatments next day were lovely (there were no appointments on the day we arrived). I had a back massage with Katie who was very nice. Popped to Ashford designer outlet on way home which is less than 10 minutes away. Overall, we would recommend as staff were all nice and was value for money for what we wanted.…
We have stayed at the property before and liked the location and the pool. This time we had problems: The a/c wasn't working and it was 30C outside, so no idea what it was in the room. We had a fan which was not much use. Completely unable to sleep - you basically pay for an hotel to get somewhere to sleep, why pay if you cant sleep?! We had a bar supper. The service was very disorganised; asked for side plates they never came, had to keep going to the bar to order, despite there being 6 people on duty. They couldn't find paper napkins - in a bar serving food??!! 6 people all using one till to ring things up caused a big delay. Never again.
Had a lovely time which was made better by the staff, Beckie and Steve were absolutely tremendous. So attentive and nothing was a bother. Lovely clean rooms and ample parking in the rear :) 5***** :D.
Extremely over priced, £15 for a pint and a s/c and lemonade. 4 drinks each will set you back nearly £100. It’s daylight robbery and embarrassing. How do you even justify those prices!? It was my baby brothers wedding, you either get a bank loan to enjoy a few drinks or not drink at all. Several beers were flat and taken off market and general service was poor. If you book here, take a drink in your handbag, or Sainsbury’s is just down the road!!
