Netherley Guest House is conveniently situated in the centre of Ballater, so all amenities like pubs, restaurants, shops etc. are very close. Nevertheless, the house is very quiet and you always get a parking space in front of the B&B. The rooms were spacious and clean, an electric heater would have been provided on request. Breakfast was excellent and Victoria was always friendly and helpful and ensured that all requests were met immediately.

On arrival we were greeted by the landlord, who made us feel extremely welcome.
He showed us around the restaurant and communal lounge areas and then on to our room.
You can see as soon as you walk in that the place is kept spotlessly clean and has been decorated to a very high standard indeed.
Our room was spacious, immaculately clean with a lovely en suit, equipped with a very powerful shower.
The bed was also very comfy.
What made the stay so special (besides the hospitality of the landlord) was undoubtedly the breakfast.
This was requested each day by ticking the items you want on the request sheet provided, which has a large selection of items available. It’s then left for the landlord and a perfectly cooked breakfast is set down for you next morning. He claims he has never worked as a chef, but I’m not so sure, I’ve never had eggs so perfectly presented.
Anyone who wanted something not listed, never seemed a problem either, as he went out of his way to try and provide it.
Our first time in Ballater and it is filled with very friendly people, a few of which we met in one or two of the bar/restaurants we visited during our stay.
Without question, the best B&B we have ever stayed in and I would highly recommend.

We decided to do a quick trip to scotland before school started and found The Netherley B&B. So lovely and centric, the accommodations were impeccable, everything extra clean and very well coordinated to comply with Covid-19 guidance. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and just as we wanted. Thank you so much Victoria and Mario for all your attention and making the experience much more special. I highly recommend to come and enjoy a good night sleep and and delicious breakfast before exploring the wonderful nature walks and lakes in the area.

Netherley Guest House is a great base for exploring the area. Walkers, cyclists and explorers of the Royal Deeside area can visit castles, tackle hill-walks such as Lochnagar or hire a bike in the town for a day of off-road cycling. There is adjacent street parking and local shops and restaurants are just a short walk away.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and Victoria is friendly and helpful, she really wants her guests to feel at home.

Of course, the breakfast is important and at the Netherley it is excellent. Good choice and lovely preparation and presentation, getting the day off to a good start.

Highly recommended, excellent B&B in an ideal situation for a holidaymaker.

A gem of a place. In the centre of Ballater and very convenient for shops and eating places. I had a warm, clean and very comfortable room with a desk (total bonus on a working trip) and fast wifi. Victoria made me an amazing breakfast so I could face long days and was always welcoming and helpful. I do a lot of these trips but rarely write reviews; does that give a hint of how good Netherley is? I'll be back.

Excellent town centre guest house. Close to shops and restaurants. Room was very comfortable but could have done with being warmer. An electric radiator was provided. Victoria asks you to indicate what you want for breakfast the night before. Saves waste - I'd had enough full Scottish breakfasts by this stage in my road trip!
Will definitely stay here again.

The place is lovely, very tidy and lovely decoration with a truly Scottish feel to it. I really enjoyed the breakfast which had many options and even accepted special requests. Overall a great experience with lovely staff also.

This place is amazing! I’ve been in the UK for two weeks and this has been by far the best place I’ve stayed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The breakfast is over the top! Everything is just perfect! I liked it so much I’m going to stay another night. You can’t go wrong here.

I remember that there is some rooms on the ground floor but I don't know if they are available for customers. The best is to contact the B&B through the site. Best regards
