Been using the Novotel Stevenage for many years for meetings and in the new year they installed a new camera system for parking which resulted in a £100 fine in January - appalled as no warning or grace period for regular visitors.

Dear Sammaxpip Thank you for your review. The system has been in place since October 2018. There are 14 signs in and around the car park, 2 at the main door as you come in the the hotel, tent cards are dotted all over the lounge and bar, also three input terminals in the bar and reception. I apologise that you were not pre warned about this, however under GDPR we are not allowed to contact you unless you ask us to. If you were to contact me directly with the your date and prove you stayed here or was here for another reason then I would be happy to help you cancel this. As you can imagine this kind of action would not of been taken likely. We use to get numerous complaints that guests did not have any where to park, now we don't get this because the people abusing the car park do not come here any more. Also some individuals that were not welcome near a hotel car park have moved on thankfully. I apologise once again for the inconvenience caused and hope that i can help/serve you in the near future. Kind Regards John Carroll General Manager

Staff always helpful although there seems to be an on going problem with the lift. I've stayed here a few times, bed a a little to soft for my liking as used to a firm mattress. All in all good stay. Old town Stevenage is not far for restaurants.

As a very frequent traveller I have many comparisons I can make. I normally arrive late in the evenings so no problem with check in (or check out) although why like other Accor hotels this can't be done online through the app I dont know. Arriving late, all I want to do is

I arrived on my own at the hotel as the person I was staying would not arrive til the evening, and had no problem checking in regarding this. The room was a lot bigger than I expected it to be (not complaining!) The bed was so comfortable, and there was a wide variety of TV

Dear Guest, Thank you for your question here. Just to let you know that we based outside the main town of Stevenage and unfortunately there is no pub within the walking distance. Nearest public house is about 5 min drive from us. Kind regards Ruslana Yarmolyuk
