We are a family run hotel with an excellent location on the seafront of Eastbourne looking across the bay towards the Pier. We are only a short walk to the pier, town and amenities. There is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel with services running along the coast and into town. We have a thriving Lunch Club with top class speakers; regular Sunday Lunches with Jazz, Cabaret Dinners, and a Gourmet Club. We are the perfect hotel for any occasion whether it be just a lunch or staying with us in one of our excellent bedrooms.

We enjoyed a fabulous 4 day stay at Christmas, Wendy and Neil the proprietors and all the staff were just excellent. All staff were very friendly . We had a beautiful sea view room which was cleaned every day including Christmas Day ,the attention to detail was fantastic. The Chef and his team provided a creative and delicious menu each day just fabulous. We will be looking forward to returning in 2025.

From the moment we arrived the time of check out we were made to feel very at home. All the staff from check in to the night porter are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had a twin room at the rear of the hotel on the 3rd floor, there is a lift to each floor. The room was very clean, well laid out and had everything we need for out overnight stay included tea/coffee, water, biscuits and toiletries in the bathroom room. Note: there is no fridge in the room. There are plenty of plug and charging points and even a fan should it be needed. The bathroom is spacious and clean and the shower had a good strength. When we got back in the evening, we had a drink in the bar and the prices weren't to bad, hotels are often very pricy. We fell into bed after a busy day, the beds are a little hard for making liking but that's personal choice and I still slept well. The next morning we had breakfast in the conservatory overlooking the sea, it was a little warm but that is because we were lucky enough to have glorious sunshine on the 2nd September so not complaining. There is plenty of seating in the main restaurant to. We both had the full English but there is plenty of choice on the menu should you want something a little lighter. Note: if you want a cappuccino they are chargeable at £4,00 each The hotel has lots of interesting pictures throughout and it is worth stopping to take a look at them. The common areas are very well done and comfortable throughout. Really enjoyed our stay and I'd highly recommend it you are looking for a hotel in Eastbourne

We stayed at the Langham Hotel for three nights and it was most pleasant. We had a sea view room with a bay window, it was a large room, with plenty of storage space and a very comfortable large bed. We both slept remarkably well. The bathroom was on the small side, but it but fully met our needs with a good shower, hot water was always available and first class towels and accessories were provided, along with robes and slippers.
The restaurant was just great, we entertained friends on one night and ate there ourselves the following night. There is a great selection from the menu, it was always served impeccably, it tasted great and the value was remarkable. Breakfast was also server to you, and again it was lovely, nothing was to much trouble.
I will look forward to returning to the the Langham, a home from home.

A four-star rating is appropriate here, as attention to detail, clean rooms, airy comfy lounge, helpful reception & enter up steps or long ramp ideal for wheelchairs, pushchairs etc., with ideal position on promenade. Seats outside for sea views. Owners are hands-on hosts & interact with staff & guests amicably as a Family Hotel. Dining room has sea views & menu for all including veggies is varied & portions ample. Lift to all floors or steps to our first floor fine, with a bar serving a range of spirits, lagers, beers, wines, coffee, or afternoon tea's & the for the first time I did not have to return to reception to ask for a "shower mat" as provided in good size B/room with bath, shower, basin & mirrors ideal with toiletries. Staff are really focused, friendly & efficient & with a phone in room reception is "manned" to reply at once. Did not ask for a sea view room, but lovely sunsets each evening in our adequate room here. R. Foulkes, Room 114, Dining Table 12.

We stayed for four nights and found the hotel to be extremely comfortable and welcoming. We had booked a sea view double which had a bay window with chairs- a perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. Our room was kept very clean and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating, especially when we decided to leave quite late one morning. Breakfast was lovely - so much choice - and the food served in the restaurant, the bar and for afternoon tea was extremely delicious and well presented. Our compliments to the chef! The staff were all very friendly and polite and would do anything to make sure we were comfortable. We had a minor problem in our room at the end of one day and it was solved immediately. A really enjoyable and relaxing stay. We’re already thinking about planning our next visit.

This was our 1st stay at this hotel that we chose based upon good reviews. It did not disappoint! The welcome was excellent and our room was a superior room that looked to be recently updated with a sea view from each window, that would open for fresh air and had curtains with tie backs.. It was attractively well-furnished with a king size double bed and a separate shower room with a seat and arm grabs for disabled use. We paid £9 for a reserved parking space that was good, since the road outside was busy and we could go to restaurants and return to our own spot easily. The breakfast was magnificent with a choice of having virtually anything you wanted served to your table on the veranda. We did not use their restaurant for dinner, since it was busy and we preferred to go outside. The cleanliness of the rooms was very good and the outside areas were cleaned regularly. It was nice to have a drink served outside the hotel on chairs and small tables and the hotel had full sun all day at the front until about 4pm. The hotel was white and freshly painted and it looked to be professionally run. We have no hesitation and recommending it by giving it 5 stars!

My last stay at the Langham was a good few years ago and it was lovely to see familiar faces. I just love the good old fashioned hospitality and homely feel of the hotel. The seaview room we were allocated was spotless, attention to detail is incredible. Bed linen was of a very high quality and the bath towels were enormous, bathrobes and slippers were a welcome addition. Breakfast service was excellent and both on site and off site parking very well organised. Thank you for a wonderful break, see you again soon.

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel and each time I have been really impressed. If you book directly with the hotel during the autumn and winter there is a fantastic deal for dinner bed and breakfast. I always stay in a single room and this is very comfortable. There is a shower room with overhead shower. Toiletries are provided as are tea and coffee and biscuits, Downstairs there are comfortable lounges with chairs overlooking the seafront and within view of the pier.
The dining room serves a wide selection of interesting food to suit all tastes. Service is good and the wine list is sensibly priced, All the staff go out of their way to be helpful.
I go in the off season and have always been able park my car on the road near to the hotel. You can buy a Permit from the hotel.

Very comfortable hotel with charming staff and an exceptional restaurant. The building is very well maintained inside and out and there is great attention to detail. I personally would have preferred a duvet rather than a sheet and blanket but it has to be said that the latter is more hygienic which is appreciated as the standard of cleanliness is exemplary. Very suitable for someone with mobility issues, such as myself, in terms of access - and reception staff were very helpful when I booked my stay in terms of discussing which rooms would suit me. I hope to return!

Just returned from my second visit to the Langham and I’m sure it won’t be my last. Obviously great care has gone into providing a very good guest experience with little thoughtful touches. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. An excellent dinner menu, beautifully cooked and served. I would happily eat any of it (except the mussels). I particularly like the table service at breakfast and the wide choice. The value for money is exceptional and not having to pay an expensive single supplement much appreciated. I completely fail to understand the handful of poor reviews the complaints seem to be trivial or completely untrue. Anyone who objects to elderly fellow guests should avoid Eastbourne and take themselves off to some rackety resort where their ill manners will fit in.
