The Premier Inn Eastbourne hotel receives mixed feedback from guests. While the cleanliness often earns praise for its high standards, some travelers have encountered rooms that fall short. The comfort of the rooms is tarnished by poor ventilation, leading to an excessively hot environment, and the upkeep of older hotel sections is not always impressive.
Guests have called out the slow service, particularly at the bar and during breakfast, as an area needing improvement. Opinions on the hotel's location vary, with some valuing the convenience and others troubled by nearby traffic. Amenities like breakfast receive mixed reviews, and the dated nature of some facilities has been noted.

Detailed Reviews
Primarily chose this premier inn for it's location. We stayed for 3 nights end of Aug beginning of Sept. Two adults and one child in family room. On arrival good free parking available directly outside the hotel. Didn't queue to check and the process was efficient. Room was clean. Bathroom looked to have been recently refurbished and was clean with a good shower over the bath. The only downside is that the rooms do not have air conditioning and the rooms get very hot. The temp in our room didn't drop below 26°c even at night and with the window open. A fan is provided but only moved the hot air around. Beds were comfortable though and our ten year old slept well. We booked a cooked breakfast which is served across the car park in The Mill pub. You have to order cooked breakfast and help yourself to the well stocked continental breakfast while you wait. A good stay and pretty much on a par with other premier inns we have stayed at (apart from the lack of air conditioning).

Having stayed at Premier Inns in the past I know what to expect, friendly welcome, nice clean room and comfortable bed. A great shower was a nice bonus after a long trip and having to stay 2 nights the room was more than suitable both in location and amenities. The only issue was the room got really warm the fan helps but the noise then becomes an issue, maybe consider installing air con especially if the summers are going to get warmer, all things considered a good location and great stay.

We were pleased with our one night stay. The room was clean comfortable and all that we have come to expect of a Premier Inn.
Staff were welcoming and we appreciated tea and coffee sachets being left for guests to use.
We were disappointed with The Mill restaurant and will add a review on their website.

Hotel's Favourite
Everything good as expected but it was very difficult to change the channel on the tv in room 4. Asked the receptionist if he could change the batteries in the remote and he said it was normal and batteries were fine. Also the pub opposite (the Mill) was sadly not to my taste. Dreadful in fact.

Was arrived bang on 3:00pm was barely greeted by MIchael who on noticing I was disabled pointed out that we hadn’t booked a disabled room. My husband explained that a disabled room wasn’t suitable due to the low bed and reach to the power points plus not fair if we used one as I am not wheelchair dependent . We asked politely for an assessable room to the lift instead . He then went through the bookings and rooms whilst moaning at us for not phoning ahead as I’m disabled. He then moaned again about being fully booked and he’d have to reshuffle rooms . He gave is our keys moaned again and gave us a card with a phone number on so that in future we could request an assessable room
We finally got room 203 , it was clean but very cold , only one towel and the tv wasn’t working properly. I went back down and he told me they were fully booked, shrugged his shoulders when I asked for help hooking my kindle to the WiFi and told ‘ not my thing ‘
We ate at the Hungry House next door and was told by Michael we needed to book breakfast with them . Seems this was not the case and we’d been fobbed off by him.
When we arrived back late that evening he was watching something on his phone , NO greeting or acknowledgement!
Not much sleep as the reason the room was cold the window didn’t close properly so the noise from
the road kept us awake and the buzzing from the moor on the extractor fan was constant.
Whole stay was beyond POOR

From the moment we pulled up i the car park till we drifted off to sleep this was perfection personified. From the reception area right up to the room on the second floor(including the lift) it was spotless and smelt amazingly clean. We entered the room to the fresh smell of clean bedsheets and towels.everyrhing was spotless not a speck of dust.
I wouod have to say well done to all the chamber maids and all the hotel staff for an amazing stay.
We ate at the pub next door (across the carport it's called the mill)
And the food was cooked to the highest quality we had dinner and breakfast (continental and the unlimited cooked option) and both were just AMAZING.

We stayed on 15th August for one night, and were given one of the top floor rooms facing the road at the back of the hotel.
First the good things - there is free parking, the bed was clean and comfortable and the member of staff at reception was polite and efficient..
However....the room badly needs a deep clean and refurbishment. There is dirt in corners of the bathroom; the net curtain pole was wedged in and fell off if you touched it; the windows were both broken. One of them had no handle and the other handle didn't connect properly. It was imposssible to keep the windows open during the night because of traffic noise. No aircon and a fan that was noisy to operate didn't help.
The Hungry Horse next door left a lot to be desired. Every surface I touched (eg shelf, bar, table) stuck to me. For an evening meal my wife had chips which had clearly been cooked a long time ago and had been kept hot. They were limp and just warm. I suspect the Hungry Horse relies on trade from the hotel and knows there will be a regular supply of customers.
I have stayed in about a dozen Premier Inns over the last two years and this was probably the worst one I have stayed in (although Aberdeen comes a close second). If staying with this chain again I will be avoiding the older hotels and choosing the more recent 'Plus' locations.

Such a lovely hotel in a great location, we stayed to visit family in the area, the rooms were clean, beds were amazing and plenty of tea and coffee available. The rooms can be cleaned on request and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were happy and pleasant, knowledgable of the area and helpful. We Will definitely return.

The Premier Inn Eastbourne was as expected for a Premier Inn. We stayed for 3 nights and although the rooms aren't serviced routinely all you have to do is ask at it will be. Fresh clean towels are available from reception on request. Reception staff are very friendly and nothing was any trouble to them. Our room overlooked the carpark so was peaceful but the other side faced on to a road that did get busy in the morning and i would say you probably would get some traffic noise on that side.
The restaurant '' The Mill'' is a Green king pub and could do with a tidy up as we noticed a few torn seats and grubby paint work in places but for a cheap meal and drinks it's ideal.
We tended to eat at Eastbourne Harbour which is a 5 to 10 min drive away and was excellent for a variety of places to eat and drink morning or night.
We chose Eastbourne as a base to explore that coast as we wanted to go to Brighton to the west and Hastings to the East.
we both have said that this Premier Inn location is ideal for this and we would stop here again in the future.

We booked a wheelchair accessible room where unfortunately the room facilities favour an ambulant users but for more permanently confined users it was archaic. The bed was too low and we did ask if an mattress on top could be arranged but they said they do not have spares. The bathroom sliding door jammed with 6 inch to spare, a good push was required each time. The shower was not accessible and the sink was a far reach with no shower hose. It was a very poorly designed layout. Generally the hotel looked very tired, 30 or 40 years old and it needs a lot of work doing to it to bring it up to date. The WIFI and TV were terrible, fairly pointless at times and the high prices of the room does not reflect the poor quality at all. Very poor and let down, we'll be avoiding Premier Inns from now on.

If you dont get a room with a disable shower you will find the normal rooms are not suitable the shower is inside the bath and I struggled to climb in so would recommend you ask for the disable rooms which are normal based on the ground floor. or you could try their new hotel in Eastbourne itself if you cant get booked into one.
