The staff are kind and friendly. The rooms are clean. The food is lovely.
We went on the coach trip holiday so was picked up and taken to the Hotel, was well fed (breakfast and 3 course dinner), lots of tea and coffee put in the rooms everyday as well as being cleaned daily. Day trips were on offer and lots to do in the evenings, with daily games of bingo and entertainment. Then at the end of the holiday you were taken home again all for a reasonable price. My Mum, brother and I loved it. Thank you Imperial Hotel for having us.

Just returned from our lovely hotel break in Eastbourne. The coach trips there and back were on time with an excellent driver who took us both ways. Hotel was really warm, staff were welcoming and friendly. On arrival, our cases were removed from the coach by hotel staff and carried directly to our rooms, and then we left them outside our rooms the morning we returned home and they were put directly on to the coach by the hotel staff. So no having to drag cases along corridors or in lifts. Our twin room was lovely, immaculately clean and serviced daily. Complimentary toiletries were provided and replaced daily. Breakfast started at 8.30 am with several choices including a full English or continental. The food was plentiful and well cooked served by polite and friendly waitresses. The evening meal was at 6.30 pm again with several choices including roast beef, roast turkey, roast pork, lasagne, and various salads followed by some amazing desserts. Evening entertainment was really good starting with a quiz, a couple of games of Bingo and singers/ comedians. Bar prices were fair, cheaper than most hotels and the entertainments room was large and comfortable. For those who required them there were mobility scooters available to rent for £36 for 3 days. There were day trips by coach to Hastings and Rye and Royal Tunbridge Wells, plus we went directly to Brighton on the local bus. Compliments to all the staff and many thanks for an enjoyable break.

Great hotel in a good location for the beach, promenade, town & buses to other places. Friendly & helpful staff. Good spacious room (I paid for a double as sole use), very clean with all you required including a large walk-in shower, comfortable bed, lots of storage, tea, coffee etc replenished every day by a very nice housekeeper.
Meals were also good, hot & plentiful served super quick by friendly waiters who supplied everything asked for.
Entertainment good but room is a bit haphazard with seating in alcoves when you cannot see the entertainers. It's a big hotel & does get busy so tables are sometimes put on the dance floor. if you wait for hot drinks after you evening meal, tables are difficult to get for the entertainment.
Tinsel & turkey holiday was made special by carol singing at your first meal & on the second night by the entertainer. This was definitely a nice bonus.
One thing to mention, WiFi is rubbish. Daish's really need to get boosters in their hotels, not everyone has a smartphone with data & nowadays most people need to have the ability to access the internet/emails etc in their own rooms.
Altogether a very good stay so I would return. Thanks to David (manager) & his team.

If you miss the armed forces this is for you. Run as a military operation for those staying. You have to have breakfast at 8.30. You have to have dinner at 18.30. Cases must be out of rooms by 06.30. You leave by 09.00. You find a sachet of shampoo and shower gel in your room when you arrive. But of you use it, don't expect it to be replaced. The staff are run ragged and 3 of the waiting staff left whilst we were there.
We didn't expect food to be 5 star but on occasions it was inedible. I've never seen red cabbage boiled so long it goes a very pale pink! Cottage pie had loads of salt poured into it. Jelly could probably have bounced it was so rubbery. If you asked for an item to be left off your meal you got no replacement. The rooms were OK apart from the fact the windows were painted shut and only one opened a little way at the bottom. We were relieved it wasn't baking hot. It was stuffy enough as it was. The 2 small lifts only held 3 people, there were 4 floors on holiday makers, so getting downstairs that was was extremely difficult. They certainly don't cater for the disabled or those on wheelchairs. Steps everywhere, even into the dining room.
I've brought one of the groups brochures home with e to make sure we don't stay in another one, as they are all run on the same lines.

Just back from a 5 day trip to Eastbourne with Danish’s holiday. So negatives first, it’s an old hotel, the bedroom doors rattle a bit when it’s breezy, rooms basic, not enough plug sockets. But I’d say that was it, the hotel wasn’t built for modern living. The pluses are numerous. The hotel is absolutely spotless, the staff, I suspect the majority are polish, were lovely and very conscientious and hardworking. The food although basis was good with plenty of choices. Three courses breakfast and dinner. Anyone who thought they didn’t get enough, most have three courses at home, perhaps? The entertainment in an evening was very good, especially the comedian. Bingo and the quiz. Of course everybody cheated on the quiz, phones out at the ready. All a bit of a laugh. Oh and I forgot the drinks. The bar was cheap and you had a bonus on Thursday night when a selection of drinks were half price till 9am. All I can say is, Daish have bargain holidays in the bag. Ps one last word. The coach drivers were also great, from giving us a full safety brief, daft jokes and sufficient confirm stops.

We got picked up by a driver called mark (Robinson coach)lovely journey with him very pleasant man .
We arrived at the imperial hotel fast check in cases took to our room .
Nice big room clean and tidy hairdryer in draw .
Also kettle and tea/coffee in room .
As my mom is diabetic was good that they had a sharps box from reception to safely dispose of needles.
Food was Good was very nice and hot plenty of choice .
Friendly staff our waitress was ok
Coming back we had a lovely driver for part of the journey called gordan (Robinson coach) he chatted most of the way telling us we’re we was going and about different areas we drove through.then we had to change coaches taking all of our hand luggage with us into service station we got to the new coach with a driver called graham (danish’s coach) who attitude was not good there was a crisp packet on the floor with both doors open and windy outside think it has got blown in he accused us passengers of dropping it the way he spoke to us was not nice . He told us not to drop crumbs and not to eat any hot food when anybody who had got hot food would not of had time to eat it in service station .did not introduce himself just told us what time we would be at each drop off not friendly made the end of our journey uncomfortable not the way to treat customers

Long journey for us but well worth it.
We enjoyed our stay with very much, we went with Daishs, a very smooth journey with stops at service stations along the way. We arrived at 1715 and was greeted warmly by management, our cases was delivered to our rooms by staff. We booked in and got our keys and filled out a menu for tea, all was done in an unhurried manner. Brilliant staff.
We had a fantastic time whilst there, it's a love clean and friendly hotel, the lovely staff were very accommodating and helpful. Our room was lovely. beds and pillows so comfy and clean, walk in shower, complimentary soap and shampoo, a good sized room and warm enough.
Meals good, service excellent, staff very pleasant and would always have a smile. 2 bars, again good service, Entertainment very good with music for all tastes. Rooms all cleaned everyday.
Met up with some people from up and down the country and had a good time chatting about anything and everything.
This is the 2nd time me and my husband have stayed in this hotel and We would definitely return,
Very good value for money. A big thank you to all the staff for helping us to enjoy your wonderful well run Hotel xxxx

Our first night stay was horrendous, we were woken up by the stench of sewage coming from our bathroom so kept us awake all night, I spoke to a receptionist about it and was told that maintenance would be told when he comes in. We couldn't even stay in the room because of the stench. It turned out that the bath had no trap on it and it was connected to the main waste for all four floors. They didn't seem to be bothered, they were more concerned about a little leak in reception. It was only when my wife told them we were not staying another night in that room that we were moved to another room. The maintenance guy came in turned the extractor fan on opened the window job done. The only person that believed us was the cleaner. We had no apology the Manager never came to see us and overall we found that generally the staff were very surly except the waiter and cleaners.

Its unfortunate to hear you felt the Manager was disinterested, I am sure this would not have been their intention. I do hope you will consider travelling with us again.

This hotel was good value for what we paid ( Daish's Holidays ) and in a very good location, it was a little tired in places and the food was basic but nice with a selection.
All the staff were very hard working and helpful........ the bedrooms are basic but clean, the wifi was only in the reception area / rooms

I have contacted Daish’s who operate this hotel prior to writing a review and they have not responded beyond asking for my reference number.

This hotel is like something from the 1950s but not in a cool retro way - more like no money spent on it since then. The bathrooms are very old and decrepit, some newer showers are being installed but it’s very hit and miss what you get. Likewise the rooms, some are ok but others are more like a cupboard or a corridor with beds in. We had two rooms, one was spacious but had an awful bathroom, the other was very small and had no shower at all.

The mattresses looked as old as the hotel, and we felt every single spring in them. We asked about alternative rooms and after the first night were moved from the small room without a shower to a narrow yet strangely high ceilinged alternative that at least had a shower.

The staff were really friendly and did their best but had nothing to offer as the hotel was in such a poor state. The bar area was bleak and lacked any character or atmosphere.

So if you are not too fussed about getting yourself clean, getting a good night’s sleep or having any sense of comfort from your hotel then this could be a great choice. Sadly the website does not advertise these features and so you may be disappointed.

After speaking with the hotel and Customer Services they have no recollection of this. All rooms are serviced daily apart from those who have asked for it not to be. We always get excellent feedback from our guests for our rooms and food as can be seen from all the excellent reviews left on TripAdvisor Please can you contact me on 01202 638840 or at info@daishs.com as we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your complaint.

The hotel rent out their own mobility scooters but they are not boot folding scooters and are expensive to hire. There is a shopmobility in the local shopping centre, about a five minute walk from the hotel, (the beacon) Where you won't get ripped off!! I would strongly suggest you stay at another hotel to ensure a nice holiday.
