A good hotel but location is out of the way
Just returned home after a weeks all inclusive at the Akteon Village on an all incusive basis.
We booked a superior room thinking we would get an above standard room only to find out all there rooms are considered superior, so very misleading.
The room (3311) was basic but clean, It had a kitchen style area with fridge ,sink and a kettle, 4 coffee satchets and 4 teabags that does not get replaced after use, 2 cups and 2 glasses Thats it ! no other utensils.
The bathroom consisted of sink basin with no plug and no shelf for toiletries.
a toilet and a bath with shower that I cleaned the mould off before using.
The Beds were adequate and the sheets changed during the week with room serviced daily including towel change,
We had a severe rain storm that put water under the door inside the room so had to put a towel in front to stop water ingress as the door was ill fitting and when closed light was to be seen all round the door. There was also approx 20 very steep steps to go up before ypu could enter the room.
We had a small balcony with table and 2 chairs but continually in the shade probably due to a massive conifer and a palm tree directly in front of the balcony so we did not use it.
On a positive note.........
The food was adequate, kept hot and a reasonable variety so there was always something for all tastes. Also you could get snacks throughout the day, burgers, toasties etc.
The drinks were of local quality and found a good selection but some staff serving were very miserable and made it clear they did not want to be there.
The pool area was very good but at this time of year very cold but there is an indoor pool that is not as cold.
Location...........
Out of the way, you need to get the local bus (615) to get to bars restaurants etc.
Nothing nearby to eat or drink so was glad we were all inclusive.
It was school holiday week so was full of misbehaved children who were left to run riot throughout the hotel while the parents got intoxicated.
No toilets in the bar / lounge area, you had to walk up or down 2 flights of steps to the other side of the hotel.
No fencing at the rear of the hotel so security could be a problem as the public footpath is open to the hotel.
Would I stay here again......No.

Room Tip: 2nd story rooms have very steep steps so if hard of walking get a ground floor room

A very nice stay, friendly staff
This was not my first time in paphos but it was my first time at this hotel.
Nice large complex however the grounds look fairly run down in places, hopefully this will be sorted out before it properly opens for season?
The rooms were very large and modern, good wifi although we were without for 24hrs in the whole area during our stay. Very nice large sea view balcony, please be aware there is a building site opposite the hotel and many works going on throughout the local area.
The food selection for half board was plentiful and very tasty although the choices sometimes seemed rather random. Breakfast was definitely our favourite part and we also swapped dinner for lunch a couple of times
I would definitely stay here again but I do prefer hotels with beach and sea access, this is a good location tho and very easy to travel locally on the buses. Only €20 for a week pass.
The only major downsides we had during our stay were misjudgment of the jacuzzi steps resulting in an injury to my back, the steps are ridiculously deep and I lost my footing. Talking to other guests,
The other issue was a large ant problem in the room, the door didn't have a proper seal and they were just coming in and out at their own leisure unfortunately. One evening we found 200+ ants in our sink!
The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, very informative of the local area too.
Please be aware the hotel doesn't have anywhere to safely store luggage, it's just kept in an open room by the main doors.

February visit
Stayed for 2 weeks with family half board upgraded to sea view ground floor rooms spacious block 34 like others had ant problem we resolved with spray room cleaning service limited . The food was always well cooked we preferred breakfast to dinner which always had pork & chicken daily however we took lunch as an alternative on a number of occasions. George & the restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful as were the reception staff. We hired cars and therefore the location was not a problem. During the 2nd week half term many children were unsupervised whilst parents were taking full advantage of the bar service. The price paid however represented reasonable value .

cyprus getaway
We arrived for our holiday saturday 8th february check in was nice and quick. We were given room key so off we go find door trying to use card to get it open but it was ok because another family was in our room wow i like to socialise but that was abit close for comfort anyway basically they were meant to have room next door but their key opened ours so that put me right off my room because anyone i felt could come in. At least we both had a sense of humour which we needed for whole holiday. We went to reception and they did not believe us and felt it was the family fault for being in there. They went to original room and we were as they say up graded to 1 bed apartment ground floor which i did email about high floor but i thought ok this will be fine. We were half board food was basic and cold. There is not much choice for evening meal or breakfast the food was of poor quality. The whole complex looks worn out reminded me of a shut butlins working on bear minimum. Location was ok got nice view of sea no beach and fencing around was broken in parts. Bus service is brilliant 1.50 euros each to harbour number 615 runs every 10 mins last stop but you can get 5 euro pass each day per person which is good. Coral beach wasnt all that. Once at bus station at harbour you get the 610 bus to old town and market. As you get off bus there is a steep hill but are little bars at top and sell beer for 1.80 euros nice and cheap even though beer in harbour is only 3 euros.

After afew days in room we were finding ants everywhere bathroom ceiling, in lounge, on walls also spiders. The cleanliness of room is of poor quality we moved the little sofa in lounge and found the last customers debri really disgusting. We went and complained spoke to lady who is not english she was very very helpful throughout holiday said make sure you go out for 2 hours because we are going to de bug ya room spray it all lovely. The next day ants again like everywhere also leaky sink and bugs drowned in it. Also we had no electric and they wanted us to play with fuse box no chance didnt know where it was and it was dark. We complained again and the lady offered us a high floor looking out to sea and pool. we had been offered room moves previously but just wanted a basic clean room but we took this one because we had enough. We chose this accommodation because of reviews which do not reflect this truthfully. This is a very basic 3 star. No entertainment in daytime nothing at all very boring and dirty. Defo would not return but all staff nice.

A 2 star at best
Just the basics......
The room isn’t cleaned 5 times a week as advertised....the maid empties bins and replenishes toilet paper every day, changes towels 3 time’s a week and the sheets once. She doesn’t make the beds nor does she sweep or wash the floors at all.
The staff are quite pleasant, one or two are a bit snappy but on the whole the service is ok.
The food is certainly not the best and I couldn’t find anything to drink...very unusual for me! Lol My grandsons aged 13 and 11 wouldn’t drink the coke it was disgusting.
The location is quite remote, in the winter most local shops and bars are closed as are all other hotels so it was a taxi ride to find any life.
We had a lovely family break but that was despite the hotel not because of it. It was certainly the worst all inclusive hotel we’ve stayed at.

Good Value
We stayed recently for 1 week on an all inclusive package booked through Jet2.

This was the first time In Paphos and we were open minded after the mixed reviews we had read mainly after we booked it. The hotel as people have said is out of the way and a few miles from Paphos but with the great bus service then this wasn't a problem. The taxis are quite expensive we thought so we tried to use the bus as much as possible.

We had mixed feelings about the hotel some of the positives were initially the food but after a few days you felt the quality could of been better. If you don't like Chicken or Pork you may struddle for a meat option as it was on the menu every day. We felt the lunch menu was quite heavy if you didn't want a salad but you can order off the snack menu for burgers etc which were happy with. The drinks were good and there was always something to drink, as usual all spirits are local and not the best but you could pay extra for premium drinks which we did sometimes.

The hotel is tired in parts due to a busy summer gueess and they haven't had time to paint etc but it needs doing. The pools were too cold to swim in as it was February but there were plenty of sunbeds for the brave ones who sat by the pool.

The rooms can best be described as adequate, they are basic and again need some TLC ours wasn't particularly clean if you looked closely but it wasn't the end of the world. What looked like the end of the world were the towels they supplied they have had a few boil washes over the years I'd bring my own if I was you.

Overall for the price we paid I thought it was good value you do get what you pay for and the only reason we wouldn't stay again would be down to the location.

The most disappointing stay
We had half board stay for six nights, and it was the worst. Halfboard means you should have your dinner without soft drinks or you should pay for that, the buffet had hsd allimitted variety of food, eggs were not fresh! no chocolate for pancakes, and if you ask for omlite without additions you will find some ham or onions on yours! that's because of rare cleaning.
The room was incects house, ants everywhere, which prevented my three years kid from sleeping all the night, and when we told the room service, she cleaned the ground by water, and the ants came again. The water heater was dirty.
There was a space between the door and the wall !! And the bedroom air-condition was giving cold air which made us frozen, and when we claimed about that, it worked good only for the next night, and breakeddown again.
Indoor pool was not warm, and kids can't swim because the door was open and the wind was VERY COLD.
If you do not secure closed spaces, you have another problem, because there were closed closet in our room, and you can hear the drops of water from it all the night...
So it was the worst say i have ever imagined, and can't say about that 4*

Fantastic holiday
Just got back from 71/2 weeks at this hotel our room was spotlessly clean cleaners in every day our air conditioning unit was great lovely and warm ( room 3601) great view over the pool and sea. The food was lovely hot and good variety something for everyone (marina and her omelettes oh so good) mr chef made sure I had a sugar free dessert every night which marina and her lovely pastry chefs made with great care. Resception couldn't do enough for you even if it was just for a chat (Tracey). The barman in the restaurant (mirror mirror) kept us amused every night. The entertainment man Seb (bingo) kept us on our toes. All the staff are friendly and polite. Location is good and flat bus stop is only a 5-10 minute walk and are cheap and plentiful. Thank you Akteon for a wonderful holiday keep up the good work see you soon .

Amazing holiday
Just returned from a week at Akteon village during last week of May! We had the best time and the positives far outweigh any negatives.
Food was really good on the whole, we always found something fresh and tasty to eat in the restaurant. The waiting staff were constantly clearing tables and keeping everywhere clean and tidy. Snack bar was great too and kept freshly stocked up in the day. The bar staff were so fast and efficient always friendly and served us with a smile.
The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily, beds were comfy, we had brilliant air conditioning in the bedroom but the lounge area was abit faulty and sometimes felt like a heater!
Reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable the few times I had to ask something.
The pool areas was nice and clean, sun beds good quality, the views out to the sea were stunning and an early morning walk every day down towards St George beach was a particular highlight.
The bus service was a 5 mins walk upto the main road and was cheap for an all day ticket 5€ adult. We used the buses to visit the harbour area and also go to the Aphrodite water park. We walked into Chloraka one day it was all uphill and so tiring, wasn’t much there so it’s best going towards coral bay or the harbour by taxi or bus.
Finally a special shout out to the entertainment team, all very warm friendly and welcoming and so good at what they do! We loved our daily aqua gym and water polo, by the end of the week we knew the dances and were joining in. Anis is multi talented and a real fun character, Justin is a legend! Every holiday resort needs a Justin (ayyy-oh) enthusiasm from seb and maddy was always bang on and Sebastian is a natural with the children. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
One small negative I felt let the resort down. The childrens play park is so tired and abit bare, it needs a makeover to benefit those with young kids (mine are older so didn’t bother us as much)

Standard Hotel With Amazing Views
Overall we enjoyed our stay here but was not blown away by this hotel.

The rooms are a very good size and overall pretty clean bed and pillows were pretty comfortable too. The bathrooms could do with some extra TLC our sink leaked and on some occasions we found ants. We upgraded to a side sea view which was amazing and just as good as a full sea view if not better since you are slightly closer to the sea. Reception staff were also very informative and helpful. Bar staff were friendly however the drinks weren't great and tasted watered down.

There were 3 pools of different sizes which were well maintained and clean. Location of the hotel is good if you want somewhere more quiet, and a bus stop is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The buses ran pretty regular and only 1.50 each way so can easily get to Paphos or Coral bay. We also found a small beach a short walk from the hotel. As a young couple we didn't find the evening entertainment that great but the kids entertainment appeared great.

Food was okay we always found something to eat however my partner struggled with the food which we expected as he is lactose and egg in-tolerant. Some food cards stated food allergy information which was helpful however not all the cards did especially the hand written ones. We also believed some of the food allergy cards to be incorrect for instance one night there were jacket potatoes which stated no food allergies however they appeared to be covered in butter.

If you're looking for a buggy or quad bike hire/trip I would highly recommend Sok Rentals which is a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel.
