I booked 3 nights on the strength of a write up. The hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable the toilet didn't flush properly. Although the restaurant food was good the whole place lacks personality we won't be visiting again.

Booked a three day stop.at very short notice. Location is excellent - very close to the promenade and shore. Parking is limited, but council parking is just across the road. Cost.is £5 for.a day so no great drama. Staff are excellent and made sure we were well looked after.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend. It was a fairly late booking and as there were not many options available in the area, we booked a sea view room at the front of the hotel. In short we will not be booking here again. Firstly, be aware the hotel is right next to the

I shall try to answer your question. My brother lives in USA and I have visited frequently so I understand the standards Americans expect and their desire for quaint. For confirmation of my accuracy, please see my other comments on other hotels etc. Mumbles Carlton needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it to a good standard. It appears tired and run down like the people running it. There is NO soundproofing between the rooms and the extractor fans in all the bathrooms can be heard loudly (in some cases all night) from other rooms. Our bed was most uncomfortable as the mattress should have been replaced years ago. There is NO choice of food at breakfast. Your friends would not be impressed. Seeing the previous comment, if this hotel has been refurbished then I am astounded! I would recommend changing venues. Unfortunately, I have only stayed near Mumbles once so cannot offer an alternative there.

we were on the top floor, overlooking the road (and the Bay) and had no problem with noise from the road. As others have said, the staff are very helpful and will solve any of your problems - ask for Sarah.
