My partner and I were really looking forward to this break, and had high expectations on this Hotel; sadly, we did not find what we expected....

One of the main reasons we booked with this hotel was that it looked like an independent boutique hotel, which we love, but things that appear on their website, aren't quite the way they say...they're not lying, they just have a different interpretation of it.
For instance, free snorkelling and water sports, yes, but only once a week; Snorkelling is one hour, and water ski, 15 minutes, that’s it! So take your snorkelling gear with you, because they won’t lend you any! It also says on their web that breakfast is from 7AM to whatever time you wake up, and it's there in 10 minutes, well, not quite true, breakfast is at anytime, providing this time is before 10:30 AM, also it will be with you in 10 minutes only if they don't have other orders, in that case, it could be from 20 to 40 minutes....
It was a Villa within the hotel premises, they say to us that it was a private villa, and it had nothing to do with the hotel, although it had direct access to the pool, which we thought it was weird.
If you rented a car, which we did, you weren't allowed to park it inside because of the access to this Villa....we then learned that this was the owner's...that explains the access to the pool and the parking...
The pool:
The pool needs an update, some of the tiles are falling down, and there is an area that looks like it was a Jacuzzi once, but nothing goes on there....
There are plenty of sun loungers by the pool, but there isn't a great deal of sun....it's only sunny to one side of the pool, beside the Villa is an enormous tree that blocks most of the sun...so we sort of got chairs most days, not always on the sun, also, the Hotel was half full, so not sure if you would have any hope when is fully booked!
We never heard the underwater music they claim to have in the pool, not big deal for us though.
The Beach:
It’s as small as it gets, but cute, they claim is private, but not too sure, lots of people would go there, which wasn’t an issue for us, mind you they left lots of rubbish, and we thought since they say it belongs to the Hotel, maybe they could keep it clean and tidy.
The Bar/ Restaurant:
There isn’t a Bar or a Restaurant in the Hotel as such, they were kind of trying out this “free drink” system, that again, not sure if it works....basically, beside the reception was a fridge with a bottle of coke, water, fruit juice and local Rums, that you can help yourself with, there was also wine at a charge of 25 Euros a bottle.
Not all of it was there all the time, so, sometimes you would fancy a coke and find just water and rum.
So dinner time, They will serve you dinner at the table in your room or on the beach (by the pool), but you have to get up and get your own drink from reception, they never tell you what’s for dinner, and you can’t choose your food or the time it is served, it’s always served at 7:30 and, sometimes, they take you on a mini-bus to their sister Hotel were you DO have to pay for all your drinks, although there is some choice in the menu, and they have a proper bar where you can also have a cocktail after dinner! At last! Mind you, when you start to enjoy yourself, they tell you to go back!
It was OK, nice enough food, not great, we just felt like were little children being told all the time where to go, what to eat, and what time we should be in bed! And that’s not what we want on holidays, so we decided to go somewhere else around for dinner few nights and do our own thing!

Overall, it was a nice break; Even though we wouldn’t recommend this Hotel to a friend, or go back. I suppose we were annoyed about the “Four Star Boutique Hotel” which, to our view, was nowhere near...maybe 3 star??
It could be a better Hotel, it’s got potential, at the moment it’s a bit tired, and they could make guests feel more welcome by giving choice, not imposing.

We booked just over two weeks at the Ocean Beauty and we left after two nights. Whilst the rooms are ok and the hotel's clean, it doesn't have a bar or restaurant on the premises and the private beach is accessed down a small flight of steps, through a door in the wall. With no restaurant dinner is a fixed, unseen menu and served either outside your room or on the beach which we found rather unsociable and restrictive. The hotel's experimenting with an open bar at present: this means that they provide some low quality spirits and a range of soft drinks and mixers in the fridge in the reception area. It might be free but I'd much rather pay for a barman to mix me a good cocktail than help myself to bad quality spirits for nothing. Food here is nothing to get excited about: it's average and there's no choice for dinner. Overall our view was that this definitely isn't a luxury boutique hotel and certainly not the 4 star that it bills itself as and some of the photos taken of the hotel are overly flattering. That said the staff are pleasant and helpful enough. Our recommendation would be to go to competitors who are in a similar price bracket: try Coin de Mire or Le Sakoa. Ocean Beauty isn't good value for money and we felt that the owners and managers just didn't really understand the type if customers they were trying to attract. The beaches are much better at Trou Aux Biches and Pereybere doesn't have much going for it. It was the wrong choice on our part. Given that we paid up front we moved to their sister hotel Ocean Villas for the remainder of our stay and staff were very helpful in assisting that move.

Just returned and have to say a great place to stay. If you are after a friendly, sylish and independent experience, then you will not be disappointed. The boutique nature and intimate size of the place is a welcome change from the insulated 'all inclusive' resorts commonly found along the west coast - if that is your thing, don't stay here! Views over the beach were great, plenty of good local restaurants, fruit stands and so on.. free internet, random complimentary snacks throughout the day and fantastic breakfast each morning. Really good value too... Scott, UK

We stayed at Ocean Beauty for 12 nights and had a wonderfull time. The hotel was everything we expected and more. The service was impeccable and the staff brought us complementary drinks and snacks almost everyday. We had the candle light dinner on the beach and the food was excellent, even if it was a bit more expensiv than the restaurants in the village. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.

We spent 11 days at Ocean Beauty hotel. It's an intimate place, the rooms are spacious and the hotel staff is there for you.
The bed was full of flowers when we arrived and one night we had a candle light bath in flower decorated jacuzzi drinking sparkling wine.
The house keeping was exellent, they even washed our dishes.
Even though the hotel is new, you can see it won't last very long in a good shape, for exemple the plumming isn't in great condition, they'll have to fix it often, but fortunately they'll do it quickly.
The swimming pool is small, but it also has a jacuzzi and you'll hear music under water.
We had a wonderfull time and I wish I could still be there.

Ill maintained hotel with unprofessional staff, I literally wasn’t feeling good when i entered the hotel,
Day-1 the receptionist came into my room while i was out to take out something that belonged to the hotel(what?) without even asking me.
Day-2 there was no security staff on duty that day not even the room service! This hotel is perhaps the only hotel i felt unsafe at.
Day-3 the waiter was shouting at me and told me that if i say anything more i wouldn’t make it to india? And threatened me.

KINDLY KEEP OUT OF THIS HOTEL!

Lovely hotel, very clean, and opposite a lovely white sandy beach (which is not massive) however is quiet! And if quiet and beatiful is what you want then you'll be happy with this hotel's location.

HOWEVER, a few things.....the management need to stop being so CHEAP and hire more people as kitchen staff. There were only TWO souls working SO hard in the kitchen (one was the cheff the other one the waiter)
It is obvious that the management is trying to save money but the quality of the service sufferes as a result. I AM NOT BLAMING THE KITCHEN staff at all! As they were EVER so apologetic about the hits and misses, but I believe that they do need more people to help out if they want to improve the service.

The cleaning ladies, the security guards and the cheff and waiter were super friendly. And if you want good advise on where and what to eat here ask Jeetan the security guard (I'm probably spelling his name wrong!) He was ever so helpful and friendly and I think he should have the job at the reception as he is so helpful and friendly.

If you are bothered about location (the north beaches are beautiful btw and this hotel is on the north of the island), cleanliness and want a bed to sleep in...then this hotel is for you.

Iif you want spot on service within the hotel....then this is not the hotel for you.

I was recently back in Mauritius for a few days on business and decided to stay at Pereybere's OCEAN BEAUTY Hotel.
This was a great move: it is a small property (9 units) each unit is modern, the room are large with full bathroom (shower and bath), full kitchen and all amenities are provided.
It is set directly on the beach and its infinity pool provided incredible Ocean Views.
Breakfast is served directly on the beach, according to every guest's own special order.

Ocean Beauty is smaller than its sister hotel, Ocean Villas, which is about 7 killometres away which is much larger. Ocean Beauty has only 9 rooms each with a balcony and some have a small kictchen area. The hotel feels more intemate as its smal. Breakfast is served on your balcony as there is no restruant. There is a pool and beach front all of which are good. However this hotel may not be for everybody as is small quiet and you will have to go out to find your entertainment. Shops and local restruants are just moments away on foot. Grand Baye is a 5 minute bus ride away and they go every 15 minutes if you need to go there.
The pictures on their web site represent what we saw.
The staff were most helpful and friendly.
We got a meal served on the beach, a massage and sunset boat ride as part of the package. All of which were really good.
A bottle of bubbly on arrival was a big hit !
Good value overal
