We were welcome warmly by Kantee who made us feel at home; gave us a room to change and shower, she was very caring and good at her job.
The pool was very fun for both the kids and adults.
Good amount of food.
We thank the Casa Florida Family for the service and welcome.
Wish you all the best for the future.
We will be back soon.

I am Suraj Gookool. My wife, my two sons and myself stayed in the hotel from the 6th to 8th November 2020. The moment we entered the reception we were very pleased with the way we were welcomed by Leena, the receptionist and then Pascaline brought us a nice juice with a nice smile and explained the menu for dinner. We were pleased to know that they had already planned my special veg menu.
All restaurant staffs like Mimose, Aarti, Mila and Pascaline treated us very nicely during dinner and breakfast. Great service.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and equipped with microwave and refrigerator which made things easy.
There are a lot of games like tennis, table tennis and baby foot which added to the two swimming pools and gym to make our stay very interesting.
Overall the hotel is very nice and would surely recommend it to my dear ones.

I had a lot of expectations while booking this hotel, however I was disappointed on the first day itself , staff at the reception talking in their native language in front of guests ,they are not welcoming at all,you need to ask the reception for every little things everyday you need to go and ask for your room to be cleaned .
I believe the staff should learn how to converse with Mauritian people as we are here to promote local ,a small indian lady doing rounds the table everyday at breakfast I was there for one whole week am a Mauritian and was on vacation ,she does not value local people at all, we pay the same money as the tourist and you all need to review everything there I work in hotel Industry too as a guest services manager and if the Gm is seeing this try to teach your staff how to go above and beyond guests expectations and acknowledge them ,while booking I mentioned there will be my partner birthday there was not even a birthday card in the room.
I am quite disappointed restaurant breakfast is not worth for money for wat we pay ,everyday same thing only dinner I can gve an 8 on 10 and a big thank you to the restaurant staff .
One small message if you all want to know how to run a reception or even the hotel operations feel free to contact me you have my details .

The service was extremely professional right from the get-go. The general manager was on top of her game and made sure we were comfortable and escorted to our room without any problem. The room was magnificent and accommodating for a family of 5. Every vanities were working and we did not have to ring the desk for any additional services. The team was exceptionally attentive, friendly and professional. They spoke in French, English and Creole which again showed how professional their team were. I did not have the chance to taste the food due to the reception ceremony I was attending. The only issue I had was the location of the table tennis. I would suggest either moving it indoor or moving it to a less windy area of the hotel; the wind made it very difficult to have a good game. Overall, I would rate Casa Florida a 5/5 and will stay there again next time I visit Mauritius. Memorable and a true Mauritian experience.

We had a wonderful experience at Casa Florida where we stayed for 21 days over Christmas 2022.

Our two bedroom bungalow was professionally equipped with all amenities needed during our stay. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels and comfortably made beds, by the cleaning lady Fiya who did a marvellous job.

The surroundings of the hotel were very picturesque and the gardens were marvellously kept by experienced gardeners with beautiful plants and flowers, even fruit trees like guavas and mangoes.

The hotel amenities were all that were required, two tennis courts, table tennis, two very well kept swimming pools, a games room and a very well equipped gym.

The bar area was decorated beautifully and Elvis, the bar manager, was excellent at mixing delicious alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails which we enjoyed most nights in the warm Summer evenings by the pool. Entertainment was beautifully performed by Peter and other professional bands.

Food was delicious and the dining room staff were very helpful. We enjoyed the morning pancakes filled with coconut, sugar and chocolate or just plain. The omelettes were deliciously cooked with mushroom, onions or cheese. A selection of Mauritian snacks, sausages, cereals were also available with fresh tropical fruit such as pineapple, banana, local grapefruit and pawpaw.

The three most sought after beaches of the island: Pereybère Public Beach, Mon Choisy and La Cuvette beach are only a few minutes away. An array of cosmopolitan restaurants lined the roads with delicious Creole, Chinese, Indian and European dishes.

We would strongly recommend Casa Florida to anyone as they will not be disappointed. Clément and his wife Lesley go out of their way to make all their clientele satisfied.

My wife, son and I spent a month at Casa Florida last year and we came back for three months this year, we are about to leave as I write. This year we found a renovated pool, partially renovated studios, and they just started renovating the rooms by the main pool. The management is always focused on making improvements every year and we really think this hotel is hard to beat, from the quality/price ratio point of view, both in Pereybere and in Mauritius.
Security, parking, a lush garden, three pools, two tennis courts, gym & spa, bar (good local cocktails) and two restaurants (good local food), game room, table tennis, kids playground. We tried several categories of rooms and found them all satisfactory, with good air conditioning, comfortable beds and all. As always it's important to have realistic expectations to enjoy this hotel: this is not a Hilton, this is a local 3 star hotel with good facilities, mostly nice staff and sufficient basic services. Clients are foreigners/Europeans and locals, including people from La Reunion island and South Africa which are close by. You come here to relax and enjoy, and maybe to learn something interesting and fun from locals, not to complain because you hear Sega (music) from your room during the weekend and you want quiet. All in all we give this hotel an 8 out of 10 in its category.

Having said that I find there is some truth to some of the observations I read here.

1. The staff (especially reception and the nice lady who says "hi" to everyone at breakfast) tends to smile and say "yes" to any request of assistance to then go on with their day without providing any solution. A little hands-on attitude might help here, if you need housekeeping or maintenance try to find them on the grounds and ask directly.

2. Staff cleans the tables slowly at breakfast and birds get to the tables and peck. True, but you are in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden, birds (and insects) are part of it, get extra plates to cover your breakfast in case you have to leave the table.

3. Reception staff speaks in local dialect among themselves while customers are there asking for assistance. That's true and should be improved.

4. The tennis courts floor should be redone entirely.

The worse experience in a "hotel" that I have been so far. If you plan to book a stay at casa Florida hotel & spa kindly read my review I wouldn't like anyone to go through what I been during my stay there.
The welcome at the reception was so cold no greeting. There was simply no customer service, they knew that I arrived so they started to talk among themselves saying your guest arrived and it felt so unprofessional the way they were talking about me in front of me. The receptionist Tessa didn't know which package deal I came on even though it must have been on my booking. She was so unorganized, firstly I booked Half board which was upgraded to full board. That was the deal I booked for three days two nights but she insisted arrogantly that it was half board.

Once been allocated the room I went for a walk to see around. The swimming pool was so filthy the dirt was accumulated on the bottom. Honestly seem impossible to swim in it.
Dinner time I went got a seat in the restaurant and as the receptionist Tessa who guided me to my room didn't give me any information or details how it works around the "hotel" such as dinner breakfast timings and all.

So there I was in the restaurant still trying to figure out dinner. The waiter came with an a la cart menu which options was terrible, as well I still choose what I thought according to me was good on the menu. Unfortunately the starter, the main course and the dessert was catastrophic, I was such a disaster.

There was flies in the food flies in the restaurant I even took pictures of what I mentioned about the food and the flies.

The next morning breakfast was buffet the food was still terrible. We encounter Kanti who was the Manager of the "hotel" she listens to me and offered to exchange my room where as I never had issues with the room my issue was the food. She told me I will get my room after breakfast but it was lunch time the room was not ready yet.

Lunch time they still argue that I was on half board and I couldn't get lunch but Kantee said she was doing it as compensation offering me a meal for lunch again I had to explain that I paid for the package which included breakfast lunch dinner without drinks which after a very long explanation she understood. By that time I got so fed up and I made up my mind to leave the "hotel" even though I paid for two nights I couldn't stay there any longer. By the time I finished lunch and checked out that room she said I will get after breakfast was still not ready. How bad is that management.

The food was awful the choices were very bad the taste was horrible. The staff management was so poor the staff working there are not trained and not welcoming at all.

That lady kantee kept on praising herself that she only does good to people she is the best whatever.

So anyone who book there kindly think twice. It's your stay don't spoil it or ruin it.

Reception: No greetings no welcoming at all. Room was clean and tidy perfectly great job from housekeeping but bed was very uncomfortable had really bad body pain. At the bar no problem at all good job from Elvis.
Restaurant: For dinner no greeting no welcoming we waited for someone to come to us but no one until we got on a table then a lady came to ask our room number and told us where our table was. Food quality was not good. For breakfast Swasty was helpful explaining the buffet but croissants was not fresh. The ambiance was very dul. We wanted to extend but after the experience we had was not good at all.

Hi.

My family and I spent one day pass during this weekend at Casa Florida.

On average, we can say that it was not so ok.

What matters much for us, was to have good quality food and this was not the case. We were offered a plate having grilled fish (being too salty), grilled chicken (small and not having good taste as if not well marinated) and grilled lamb (smelling foul and not tender while cutting), the chips were soggy and the mixed salad was as if only cut vegetables without vinaigrette.

Truly, from the bottom of our heart, we were expecting more quality food. It is better to have a modest portion of tasty quality food rather than a full plate with food of bad taste and being unpleasant.

Only on this point, we regret to inform you that it is our first and last visit to Casa Florida.

Hope you will improve your food quality because we pay for the package and rather give fried rice or noodles instead of mixed grills.
