We stopped here for only one night this week. Recently refurbished to a very high standard it stands opposite the central train station in Bergen. The main bus and tram station is also very close.
You’re a short walk into the city and and easy walk to the famous harbour area and Sandviken.
The room was very well done. We were in the lodge (by choice) and the rooms have a delightful Parisian loft feel about them. This combined with Nordic, minimalist decor meant the room was both classy and functional.
A superb bathroom, complete with a large bath, was great although we felt there wasn’t enough surfaces to out wash bags & make up et cetera.
The buffet style breakfast was very good and the food was plentiful and regularly refreshed. Excellent bread!

Staying in Burgen for four days and consider the Grand Terminus Hotel a good choice.

On the plus side of this hotel it is close to the old town, shops and places of interest, so well situated. Also very close to the train station...over the road from the hotel. From the airport we chose the slower cheaper train option which was just over 45 mins but very good service into Bergen Station.

Also the staff, very helpful, breakfast lovely and all amenities in the hotel seem to be kept well. Bedroom and bathroom clean and comfy and well maintained and I love the wood paneling and solid old charm of the place. We did upgrade to a suite at not much extra cost and room was a good size with plenty of storage space.

On the not so plus side, our room was not as warm as we would have liked (with it being February and snowing outside). This seems to be due to the rustic (but very drafty) windows and lovely but also rustic heating system. All said just ask at reception and they can provide you with an extra plug in heater.

My last not so plus side is that as the very busy station is literally opposite the hotel and the rustic windows are somewhat flimsy, at certain times of the day there can be quite a bit noise from outside if in a room over looking the station . It was fine for us but I know this might be something to be considered by some. Noise from inside the hotel? No, All good!

Overall a good stay.

We booked a 3 night B&B stay in two family rooms (202 & 209) and were not disappointed. Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff, comfy beds, an amazing breakfast and a hotel with character and history.

All four of us enjoyed our stay here - the central location made it easy to find and so convenient for the various modes of public transport. As a family we never go anywhere twice:- if we can afford to go away, we try somewhere new each time. Having said that, if we were to return to Bergen (which in itself would be no hardship) we are unanimous in that we would all rebook this hotel. 5 star all the way.

This is a very comfortable hotel with spacious clean rooms. It is in a perfect location in the center of Bergen yet in a quiet area just next to the train station. It is also connected via an internal walk-way to a large accessible parking house which guests get at a great rate. If you are driving into Bergen - this hotel is perfect. A decent breakfast and a fantastic selection of single malts is also available.

The hotel is located right in front of the railway station, tram and bus terminal which makes it perfect accessible. It is in the city center, so you can walk to all of the touristic attractions, as well as to visit local mall and restaurants.
Rooms are pretty small, but have everything you may need hairdryer, towels, flat screen tv, even chromecast.
The atmosphere is very nice as well, hotel have very fancy ancient decor. Finally the breakfast is served in a nice room with the big variety of food. I would say this hotel is a good balance of price and quality, I would recommend staying there.

Stayed 2 nights at the Grand Hotel Terminus in July. One night on arrival before going on a SUP expedition in the Fjords and then 1 night on the return. Great location right next to the main train station in Bergen so if you go out exploring for a day you can bet the location. Also only about a 10 minute walk to the main harbour area/old town of Bergen and its a beautiful walk through the old cobble streets. The hotel itself is clean, traditional decor with comfortable rooms. The hotel has a restaurant but we didn't eat at it, there is also a luggage storage which was helpful as our return flight didn't leave till about 9pm we were able to check-out and leave our luggage all day to go exploring. There is also a shuttle bus from the airport to the main train/bus station so super convenient just picking up the bags on the return and heading to the station, no far to walk.

Very nice property with a nice garden situated in a central location right next to the train station and a short walk to the main attractions such as the Brygge and Fløibanen, the breakfast was nice despite the measures taken due to Covid-19, I am sure it's even nicer when the normal buffet is available. The staff are also quite nice and helpful.
Only issue was that the standard double room we booked felt a bit too small but apart from that this hotel is highly recommended.

We had our Wedding ceremony at the hotel, and checking in was a very messy experience. Already being stressed you dont want to use 20 minutes in the reception just checking in.. They had a hard time finding the booking because they could not use the booking reservation for some reason. Also paying for the venue was difficult. In the end we had no more time and had to come back later. Next time, we got the key to a room already in use.

There were no cleaning in the wedding suite and arriving in the evening the food from the breakfast was still there and the bed was not made.

The man at the front desk working the night shift however was very kind and had the card for our room ready when we arrived. Also we got access to the ceremony location to set out flowers and make the venue ready the day before.

The breakfast is great with the best smoothies and the best scrambled eggs. The bar at the hotel is amazing. Also the hotel rooms has great light and was good for the photographers.

A messy experience, with both positive and bad feedback.

From check-in to check-out most staff offered little more than basic service. This is a shame as service costs nothing to give but costs lots when not offered. The hotel is conveniently located next tot he main train station and a short (15 minute) walk to most of what you want to see or do in Bergen city centre.
Rooms were tiny - we had to move furniture to fit our bags in and were constantly stepping over them. The street beside the hotel was extremely noisy (from the 4th floor) with poor sound insulation. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice offered. The hotel seemed to be in a poor state or repair with a large hole in the wooden window frame, seals peeling in the bathroom and lights not working

The start of a weekend in Bergen town was made extremely much better by the very welcoming gestures from the staff. Prior to the stay we gave notice that my blind wife would bring her guiding dog. No problem and welcome, said the nice portier. And when we arrived at the room, not only the two-legged ones discovered a treat, but this beautiful staff had placed a treat for our dog as well as a welcome note to the three of us!! Incredibly thoughtful and really, really appreciated! Never experienced this any other place - and we travel a lot. Rooms have been refurbished not long ago and loved the breakfast and bar area. Would def stay here again!

Hair dryer was provided but I didn't use it. There was a laundry room on our floor with 2 washers & 1 dryer free to use which we did and they were satisfactory.
