Detailed Reviews
Very friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom of our junior suite was old and worn and had that dirty feeling (despite being clean). The flimsy shower head was of the first generation energy conserving ones from the early 80-ies. Fast and mostly reliable (but unsecure) WiFi. The suite was spatious with a separate bedroom, Nespresso machine and empty mini bar. Quite nice view of Ulriken and Bryggen in two narrow strips in between large buildings. The street is rather noisy in the evening and during the night. The breakfast was quite nice with a reasonable selection. It was served in a room far to small in these corona times, it was very hard to keep proper distance. The best thing about the hotel was the location: right in the city centre and sitting on top of the lovely Altona wine cellar,

We stayed here for 2 nights after a friend's wedding. The room was spacious and clean though was a little tired and could do with updating. It's a little walk from the centre but Bergen is small so it's still easily walkable. The road is fairly quiet so no problems with noise. The breakfast was good, offering a good variety. Unfortunately, on the last day the coronavirus lockdown happened so the breakfast we pre-prepared on plates but the staff were helpful and provides a vegetarian option when asked. It was very good value overall.

Rooms were basic, but had all we needed. Tea and coffee all day in reception made up for the no kettle in the room. Breakfast was varied and buffet style. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was easily walkable to everything in the beautiful harbour area (handy for the local and airport buses).
Our room looked out on to a neighbouring wall so natural light was limited, but that was the only negative.

Where to start ? The rooms are really comfortable, the hotel is beautiful and the food is great ! Having the opportunity to borrow umbrellas (of great quality by the way) is a real plus, especially in February, and the heart warming waffle pause at 4PM is a wonderful idea. Moreover, the staff is really nice and friendly; they even let us eat, unwillingly, a waffle that was not supposed to be for us. Oops! Thank you for your good service.

Only stayed one night in the hotel but was very impressed by the whole package . The hotel is an older styled hotel but very clean and tidy . The rooms are large and comfortable with all the amenities that you need . The buffet breakfast was amazing with a large variety of hot and cold dishes to suit everyone's needs . The jewel of the crown were the staff who were all very friendly, helpful and informative. Very impressive.

I recently stayed one night at the Augustin Hotel in Bergen just prior to doing a Hurtigruten cruise. The Hotel is very comfortable and quite reasonably priced. it is pretty well located and a short walk to the Fish market and Bryggen tourist area. it is also not too far to walk from the Hotel to the Hurtigruten terminal. Staff were every helpful. Cofee is available all day and they do waffles in the afternoon. Breakfast is excellent.

This hotel has a great location, right in the center of Bergen. The rooms are however very runned down and need repair and renovation. The breakfast is fine although the breakfast room is tight why it at busy days becomes very crowded and not Covid 19 precautious. The room we got was dirty when we arrived, and we had to ask at the front desk for a clean of the room.

Given the prices of everything else in Norway, this was very reasonable. Yes the rooms are quite basic but we were very happy here for 4 nights. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great. They advertise free waffles on an afternoon but didn’t once see any put out. There is free coffee all day. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay stay here again.

The Augustine Hotel is a classy older place. Plenty of space in the bedroom; comfortable furniture; modern bathroom; tasty free breakfast with lots of variety; spacious lobby with free coffee & tea 24 hours a day; super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is an easy three-block walk from the fish market where the airport shuttle bus stops. The Augustine is close to the harbor and to plenty of shops and restaurants. We love this hotel!

Hotel located in the heart of Bergen, a stone's throw from the port. The hotel is very old, not at all updated, full of carpets. The room was small, the 3rd person with us did not have a real bed but had to sleep on the sofa (it was not a sofa bed, really on the sofa itself, just equipped with a duvet and a pillow). The bathroom was extremely dated. No shower but a bathtub.
Rather clean although, given all the carpets, hello bacteria.
No parking included in the hotel, you have to park in a public car park at 25€ for 24 hours (Thanks to the hotel you will have an exceptional reduction of 15%, elk what luck!! You will therefore pay 21€ per day !).
The welcome at the hotel was not very pleasant, staff not smiling for a penny, not welcoming or warm, very cold.
The breakfast buffet is good, rather varied, however the dining room could do with a little more lighting, we were half in the dark.

We took the bus right outside the terminal; were dropped of at Christie's Gate, walked to Hotel. Not difficult at all. Even a cheaper option is take the train from the airport, you get drop off at walking distance from hotel. About 10 minutes walk. I just Google Earth the walking route ahead of time.
Sorry had no access to net. Late reply. But for the record the bath/ toilet was extremely small and awkward even for a healthy person.
yes they have small lifts.
We took a taxi to the Hurtigruten terminal and were glad we did as there was quite a steep hill to go over.
I found the staff extremely helpful, going out of their way to provide what we needed so I don't doubt they would try to meet your request. Email them or better yet call and discuss your requirements.
