Went for a roadtrip to think and stayed here by chance.
Room was nice with a good bathroom. Gym was excellent.
Top that with decent restaurant and breakfast and yoy get what you need in a chain hotel on the outskirts of a big city.
It does lack in atmosphere, but that is expected on a huge airport/conference hotel.

This hotel is located not far from Bergen Airport. Yet they do not provide airport shuttle. As a traveller, taxi is the only option. Allthough the hotel is in the budget zone, you will be better off choosing one of the other hotels in the same area that will also provide the shuttle. The cheapest rooms are ok, but if you upgrade to the next kevel or further, they are really spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is average Norwegian standard. Spacious garage in the basement with many free charging points.

Thank you for visiting @Carine M and for your feedback! We have the same airport shuttleservice from door to door as our neighbour hotel, but it is still in the starting fase so is runs during Weekdays mornings and afternoons. Alternatively the tram (Bybanen) runs every 10 minutes and stops 800 meters from us. So I truly hope you will return to us in the future and try it out :) Feel free to contact us or me directly if you need any advice. Best regards Hege, Hotel Manager hege.lund@choice.no

I stayed here with some colleagues as were attending a conference about 15 drive from this hotel. I had a pleasant stay and am happy to recommend it. here are the main points:
Location:
15 minutes by taxi from the airport. Use Bergen taxis as they have a a special discounted rate with this hotel, expect to pay about 280 kroner. Bergen taxis have the local number 07000, but this only works if you have a Norwegian phone. if you have a foreign phone you need to dial +45 5599 70 00. There were no Bergen taxis in the long line of taxis outside the airport, so i had to call them. A car with a friendly driver arrived within about one minute. if you come with a car there is free car parking at the hotel.
Reception:
I arrived late and was checked in by Gunnar, who was friendly and helpful. The staff on reception were all friendly and helpful when approached, special mention to Erlend who printed my boarding passes for me. The reception area is a huge atrium with a bard and many comfortable sofa seats.
Room:
I had booked a superior room and mine was on the third floor. The room was spacious with a sofa seat and desk. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well, and the room was very quiet.
Breakfast:
An excellent self service breakfast is offered in the main restaurant. Huge choice of hot and cold items to choose from. However, they do not offer any lunch which was disappointing as I had a late check out and wanted something to eat before going to the airport. They only offer a small selection of snacks, dinner is not served until 17.00.
Conclusion:
A nice hotel with friendly staff, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. I would certainly stay again if in the area.

When we arrived in the evening, it was not possible to be served food as the only restaurant was fully booked. It was also not possible to send food up to the room and the hotel has no room service. The location also makes it difficult to have options for food and one becomes dependent on the offer of the hotel. When this doesn't exist, it becomes a problem. The selection and service of breakfast and lunch is also somewhat limited compared to other hotels in Norway it is obvious to compare with.

Hi Joar, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were not able to get a table in our restaurant. As all restaurant, also ours does not have unlimited capacity, there will sometime come a point were the restaurant is completely fully booked. Not often, but it happens. We do our very best to plan well and we always encourage our guests to book a table in advance to make sure they are guaranteed a table at the restaurant. But there is a limited space both in the restaurant and in the kitchen of how many guests we can mange at the same time. I hope you will be able to enjoy our restaurant next time, and pleas just contact us to book a table. Best regards Kristine Mjelde Hotel Manager

I stayed two nights, I was on fly and drive and I found a good offer, €260 in total with breakfast.
The hotel is clean and very large, the rooms are medium in size and the breakfast is decent.
At 900 meters there is the bus that takes you to the center in 45 minutes.
Be careful with parking, it costs €7.50 per day, but you can't pay for it directly, you have to register on the site, insert your credit card... well... never seen it before!!!!
Rejected.

I stayed one night at the top floor facing the inner part of the hotel. Down in the reception area there was some party arrangement with loud party music and the construction of the open centre of the hotel seemed to amplify the sound. The music stopped around midnight, only for the partygoers to continue the party in the reception area with singing, loud talk and laughter. The receptionist did nothing to remind the party that there were guests trying to sleep. Little chance to rest before meetings the next day.
The restaurant had some interesting choices of food, but the wines they offered were very poor (schnitzel from veal to be served with a cheap, semi sweet riesling or a semi sweet valpolicella?).
The location is close to the airport and there's nothing in walking distance from the hotel.

I am so sorry to hear about your stay with us. Yes, we do have a lot of rooms facing inwards to the hotel. This is a room category that is a bit cheaper then other rooms of the same standard. However, we try our best to avoid these rooms when there is an event, but if hotel is full they are in use yes. I recommend you to book one of our regular superior rooms next time, so that you are guaranteed not staying in these internal rooms. I have forwarded your review to our Food & Beverage Manager, who will check our wine menu if anything is missing there. I thank you for your feedback, and please do not hesitate to contact med if you are staying with us again, I will make sure you'll get a nice room and a room not facing the inner part. Best regards Kristine Mjelde Hotel Manager

+1
After flying over from Aberdeen I was initially isolated in this hotel during the 14 days restrictions placed on personnel entering Norway due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Clearly this hotel has so much more to offer than micro waved food and under different business circumstances I would like to avail of the hotel amenities.
Staff were very thoughtful under the circumstances.

Stayed here for 2 nights and would stay again. Very big rooms compared to other hotels of the same price/level. Modern TV and plenty of storage/cupboard space.
Reception are is very modern and the breakfast was great. Help yourself style buffet with lots of options. Bacon, eggs, sausages and other cooked options, fresh waffle making facilities, cereals, breads etc. Tea, coffee, apple and orange juice plus smoothies.
The only thing that was missing were tea and coffee facilities in the rooms.

Dear @maz_636 Thank you so much for visiting and for giving us feedback afterwards! So pleased to read that you would stay here again, and just so you know until next time; we have coffee facilities in our deluxe rooms. Optionally we lend out waterboiler, mugs etc. from the front desk, so there should always be possible to make your own coffee in the room :) Hope to see you again soon! Best regards Hege & Team Grieg

Celiac disease: incredibly poor labeling of the contents of food in buffets. Was served the same two dishes for dinner in the evening, as I had for lunch. (Sausage w/mash and pasta screws w/meat sauce) Probably got cheap for them this way...
It seems that there is very little knowledge about food allergies among employees. The dinner in the evening, which the 200+ others got, was lasagna, which could easily, with a little goodwill, have been served both gluten-free and lactose-free to everyone. Also poor placement of food in the buffet for all meals. Bread was in the middle of naturally gluten-free products such as lettuce, tomato, cucumber etc. Great risk of contamination. This was a really bad experience for me with celiac disease. In fact, I rarely experience it so badly in hotels in Norway.
They should get a bonus because the oatmeal for breakfast is gluten-free (and it is for everyone who wants to eat it. They only had one oatmeal). They could easily have done the same with the lasagna that was on the menu for the evening.

Standardized conference quality hotel.
Traveled with the family, sadly, as usually happens when you travel with children, you get a worn-out room that was in need of renovation. Many hotel chains need to tighten up on this.
The staff were nice and did what they could to make us comfortable.
Ate dinner one evening which was ok but not more than that.
The breakfast was however very nice.

Thank you so much for submitting your review and letting us know about your visit. I am very excited to tell you that we have finally been approved for renovations, and we will start during this fall. This will incl the room type that you stayed in, with new sofa beds, bigger and better and everything will be new. We are really looking forward to it. Now in September we will also change our restaurant concept, and I hope you will like this better, new menu and everything. I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast. I do hope you will consider visiting us again, at least after our renovations. Wish you all the best and welcome back! Best regards Kristine Mjelde Hotel Manager

My room had a wall mounted hair dryer. I don't know what 'washers' mean in this case, sorry. Maybe you could take a look at the travelers pictures and find out for yourself. Good Luck! Enjoy Bergen/Norway!
Hair dryers yes.
Dear future guest :)
Our shuttleservice runs to the nearby companies and airport. For transport to the city centre you can take a look at schedules for bus no 50 E or the lightrail (bybane line 1) at this website: skyss.no.
Welcome!
It is a tramway called Bybanen close by with good and direct connection to City centre
Hei @Lidveig1, beklager sent svar!
Det heter "Sandslivegen". Du går til venstre og så er det skiltet til hotellet resten av de 800 metrene, så er du fremme :)
Hjertelig velkommen!
